  1. Nothing even close to what they have at the Ft. Lauderdale location. A few have visited from that club for a weekend appearance over the last few months, but they have to pay for their lodging, food, gas, etc. and since they work for tips, it's not really worth it for them. There are maybe a couple of local dancers who are muscular, but again no comparison to the south FL guys.
  2. A follow up to the previous post about valet $ at Johnsons Tampa. I went Sat. night & it was $7 instead of the $5 previously listed (their facebook post has been amended). I think the valet co. wanted to charge $10, but Johnsons wanted to charge $5. Due to the monthly quota required, they compromised at $7.
  3. Hippo swallows 2-year-old boy until witness with rocks intervenes, Uganda police say https://www.yahoo.com/news/hippo-swallows-2-old-boy-163440010.html
  4. https://rent.men/Hugowilliams Now visiting Tampa, has a 305 area code number. Couldn't find anything through searching here so I thought I'd take a shot and see if any of you have intel.
  5. Saw this on their facebook page: Johnsons Tampa 21h · Excited to announce, that this weekend we will start valet service in Tampa. We secured another lot that will hold 30 cars. So we’ll have free parking on the street and valet ($5) for both lots. We’ll have more presence in the lot so you can park further away on the street and still feel safe. I know it’s annoying to get to a club, drive around for 20 min looking for parking, give up and leave.
  6. I tried when I first saw this & it didn’t open for me either. Tried again just now & it opened right up. 👍🏼
  7. I've seen that too. Almost every time, when they've quoted anything from $350-600 for an hour I usually say something like, "Thanks for the quick response. That's not the price range I'm looking for right now though. Maybe some other time." and I get a message back along the lines of, "What's your price range? I'm flexible." Not always, but quite often.
  8. There's a separate thread for the Tampa Johnsons, I'll post my reply to this there. 🙂
  9. Buff Daddy asked: What's up with Johnson's in Tampa. Let's us know if anyone from here has been there recently Was there tonight (Sat. 12/3) & it was fun. Sawyer from Ft. Lauderdale was back & he, in my opinion, just oozes sexiness. There was a good crowd & the dollars were flying onto the stage (especially when Sawyer was performing). 3 guys on the main stage & 1 on the VIP stage upstairs throughout the night. There were a few dancers I didn't recognize, so that's a good sign that they are increasing their roster. The lineup still isn't like it is at the Ft. Lauderdale location, which has mostly muscle guys. In Tampa, though, it will probably always be different. I know the Ft. Lauderdale club gets quite a few dancers up from Miami, and the south FL population is different from the Tampa Bay area for sure. One thing I have to say about this club though. I've been going to the gay clubs in Tampa for over 20 years now (and most of those clubs are long gone). I also go to Ft. Lauderdale 3-4 times a year & hit all 3 clubs when I'm there. But Johnsons in Tampa has hands down the friendliest employees of any club I've been to. From the doorman, cashier, to every bartender, table server, DJ, and the dancers, everyone gives a smile & a greeting when I arrive, or "good to see you again" and then wishes me a good night when I'm leaving. I don't know why that is, but I always feel welcome there. I really hope the business continues to grow for them.
  10. Wait….How is slapping someone in the face while kissing considered foreplay, gay or otherwise? I would’ve been done at that point too. And how does one mistakenly slap another in the face?
  11. Is it primarily cards for females, or do males advertise that way too?
  12. He’s advertising them on Instagram all the time. He even has an instagram account for them: giovannisparties_
  13. This actually looks really good. I love Jim Parsons and Sally Field, so I'll probably hit the theater when it opens. Can't remember the last movie I saw in a theater. Just found out this about the movie: Spoiler Alert is an upcoming American biographical romantic drama film directed by Michael Showalter, from a screenplay written by David Marshall Grant and Dan Savage, based on the memoir Spoiler Alert: The Hero Dies by Michael Ausiello. The film stars Jim Parsons as Ausiello, along with Ben Aldridge and Sally Field. The film is scheduled to be released by Focus Features on December 2, 2022.
  14. What if they're not stars.....but holes punched into the top of a container so we can breathe??
  15. Yeah, a Tuesday night I wouldn't expect to have much going on. Wed is supposedly busier now due to dancers coming in for "Giovanni's Parties". Fri & Sat are also busier. I don't know how they're able to do it, but Boardwalk is now open until 4:00 am I think on Fri & Sat at least, maybe other nights too. A lot of people start coming in around 2:00 or 3:00 after the other bars/clubs close.
  16. In all the times I've been there over the years I've never had anyone check in our room during a private dance. At times, I was in there for a while and things became very interactive, but again no one checked on us. The only interruptions were an occasional dancer with a customer, checking to see if the room was available.

  18. June was a good time to go, too. If you go in the winter months, especially Fri./Sat. it's not just standing room only, but it can be a struggle just to walk through either of the rooms to find a spot to stand. Even more of a challenge to find a spot to stand and actually see the performers if you're less than average height. (voice of experience here...)
  19. Interesting story that Leslie and Megan Mullally tell about his role as Beverly Leslie on Will & Grace. The role was originally written for Joan Collins, who had accepted the role. However, she balked at the fight scene around the billiard table due to each character pulling the other's wig off. "Miss Collins apparently didn't want her wig jerked off," so she didn't show up for the table read and when it was apparent she wasn't coming in, one of the show's creators/executive producers "went ballistic and decided to recast." There's a little more to how Leslie got the role at his audition, and a lot more fun stories in this video where Megan interviews him for the Library of Congress 2022 National Book Festival.
