  1. Not an expert - only knowledgeable enough to be dangerous. Turn off and physically unplug both printer and computer from the wall socket. Count to 20 and plug back in. This should do a fresh reboot of both. Are you doing a wireless connection? Maybe try a physical USB connection first until you get things working. If this didn’t solve the problem them you will likely have to delete the printer driver program from your computer. Then turn off computer, count to 20 and restart. Reinstall the printer driver either from the original CD-ROM or a fresh download of the driver from the HP Website. Edit: Oh, and you said this is a new printer. You did select the “new” printer as the new default to print to didn’t you?
  2. Of US landmass that qualified, at the time of visit, as “citizenship territory” I’ve been in all 50 states, 5 territories and few other US possessions. Ref: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Territories_of_the_United_States
  3. You would find an iPhone would be very similar in operation to the iPad you already own. I would suggest a used/refurbished one that is a 6S or newer with 32Gb or more and Unlocked. The SE is essentially a 6S with a smaller screen so it would be fine performance wise and will operate the newest iOS12. With Siri, and a late version iOS on the iPhone (and maybe even your older iPad), you can use “talk to text” to “write” your text messages. A visit to an Apple Genius bar, YouTube or your local nephew/niece could show you how to do it. Or, turn on “predictive typing” and that might help with composing texts. But be careful and proof before hitting send because it can change things against what you thought you just typed.
  4. Las Vegas Conferences & Events with expected attendance >10,000. Temperatures will quickly moderate as the city enters the fall season. This is a good time, climate wise, to visit. By mid-October a light jacket for evening adventures may be needed. The nearby ski area on Mount Charleston (about 45min drive) may have snow by early December. Expect increased hotel rates on holiday weekends. Especially Veteran’s day, Thanksgiving and the weekend leading into New Year’s Eve. See my link to the New Year’s Eve here: https://www.companyofmen.org/threads/las-vegas-new-years-eve.141271/ There are some very large conventions during this period. You probably don’t need a car if you stay on the Strip. Just walk. Use the monorail, RTC buses and the free trams that operate between some casinos. Uber, Lyft and taxis are available. Skin Care

Totally agree!! As you get older your skin gets thinner. There's also a reduction in elasticity and natural oils. For a skin rash that was getting worse my dermatologist told me to keep it simple: - Shower when you need to. Showers remove natural protective oils. Showers are usually not necessary every day. If you feel grungy take a shower. Use water temperatures on the lower side of your comfort level. High water temperatures are counterproductive to skin care. - While still wet, and still in the shower stall, wipe a body oil on yourself. It doesn’t have to be fancy. Simpler the better to avoid allergic reactions. From the list of oils he recommended I chose Neutrogena Body Oil (or the generic store brand on the shelf next to it). It’s readily available, inexpensive and been in use (tested) for many years. Most massage oils would probably work too. - It’s important to give the water wet oil time to soak into your skin. So while you’re waiting for that to happen take a shower squeegee and wipe down the shower stall. Be careful since the floor will be slick from oily water! - Use a towel to pat (not rub) off any remaining oily water. Rotate towels often - that’s vital if you have any rash, zits or other indications of skin injury. In a couple of weeks my skin rash was gone. I continue to use the above regimen.
  6. Back in the ancient days one of the current major massage sites used to break down massage types into three categories: Therapeutic / Sensual / Erotic. The atmosphere became less permissive and they changed to: Therapeutic / Sensual / Custom Atmosphere changed more and it became: Heal / Relax Now there is no breakdown at all. But back to your inquiry. There has never been any guarantee that a massage provider was obligated to provide HE. Even back in the old ancient days with an “Erotic”, let alone “Sensual” massage. Communicate with your proposed provider, in advance.
  7. Las Vegas has one of the world's largest New Year’s Eve entertainment extravaganzas. Both The Strip and the Downtown areas will have a lot of activity. Some 300K+ revelers are anticipated. If that’s of interest to you here’s some info: Book early. It will soon be too late. Expect hotel prices on, or near, the Strip and Downtown to be price gouging expense. Don’t forget to add in hidden “resort” and parking fees. https://www.vegas.com/newyears/ https://www.newyearsevelive.net/cities/las-vegas.html Amazing fireworks display on The Strip at the stroke of midnight. About 80K bursts. The fireworks are choreographed to music that is broadcast over various radio stations and internet apps. Local TV stations will have live coverage. Avoid driving New Year’s Eve. The Strip becomes a huge pedestrian walkway and closes to traffic from about mid-afternoon on the 31st until about 6am on the 1st. The closure runs from Sahara Avenue (near the Stratosphere) for about 4 miles south to Russell Road (near Mandalay Bay). The only cross street that is open in between is Desert Inn which runs in a tunnel under the Strip. RTC busses will probably be no cost during the Strip shutdown. But you will be competing with huge numbers of partygoers - so just plan on walking. The Downtown Fremont Street Experience is typically as lively as The Strip. There will be several live bands adding audio to the visual effects of the gigantic Fremont Street light canopy. Major casino hotels on The Strip and Downtown typically limit access to their nightclubs and party venues New Year’s Eve to registered guests. Expect very high security and police presence - both uniformed and undercover. Large bags will not be allowed. This is Las Vegas - there is practically no area on the Strip or Downtown that does not have 24hour video surveillance. Prostitution and sex for hire is illegal in Las Vegas. Las Vegas has very strict laws regarding drinking and driving. Recreational marijuana is legal for private use only. It is illegal to use cannabis in public or in a vehicle. Possession on federal land (like National Parks) or public buildings is not permitted. Casinos do not permit marijuana use on their property for fear of risking their gaming licenses. Do not take any “left over” cannabis to the airport! However, if you screw up, there are some “Amnesty” drop boxes in the taxi curb areas before you enter the terminal. https://www.shouselaw.com/nevada/marijuana-possession.html https://lasvegassun.com/news/2018/feb/21/pot-disposal-boxes-installed-at-las-vegas-airport/
  8. Las Vegas has one of the world’s most advanced water recycling systems. If water goes down a drain it is almost certainly recycled. And much is returned to the potable water system under the “return-flow credit” program. The following links explain in detail: https://www.snwa.com/where-southern-nevada-gets-its-water/recycled-water/index.html#returnflow https://www.snwa.com/drought-and-conservation/conservation-facts-and-achievements/index.html
  9. Consumer Reports March edition rated the Sleep Number i8 model the highest. However, the c2 model was only 3 points lower and only 1/3 the price. The 3 point decrease appears to be in the “large/tall back sleeper” category (“side sleeper” was the same). 10. Las Vegas Conferences & Events with expected attendance >10,000. The Season of extreme heat. This is the desert in the summer. Temps above 110F (42C) are not uncommon. All roads leading Vegas cross the desert. If you’re driving beware of the tire shrapnel littering the road from tire blowouts. Make sure your car is thoroughly prepared and you have survival water. It can be life threatening to be broken down in desert temperatures. If you have pets remember the asphalt can get hot enough to burn their paws. Not a good time for outdoor daytime adventures. Stay hydrated and always carry a water bottle. Use sunscreen and wear a full brimmed hat. Late evening and night can be pleasant outside. Hotel Casino pool parties are popular. Over a two million people live in and around Las Vegas - so you can survive too! Just be smart about the temperature challenges! 11. Just put the handset down next to your TV, walk away, and let them listen until they tire and hang up. After a few times you may even get lucky and they might remove you from their call list as being a time waster. They waste your time - you waste theirs.

  19. I can’t say this with certainty but I highly suspect the forum owner is extra careful to ensure the young provider reviews posted meet all legal age requirements. About every other year a similar discussion like this comes up. The posts typically can get somewhat “robust” and, sometimes, even locked by the Admins. I usually have to comment though. As I stated in similar past posts I think it is unfortunate that legal young providers face discriminatory comments IRT their youthful appearance. I am not going to put any direct links to previous forum posts on the subject. No sense in reopening old wounds too easily. However, if you’re really interested, use the search feature (click on “more” to expand). My forum handle and / or the following will help narrow down your efforts. Las Vegas

See my update I just posted in the "Street Scenes" forum section for "off strip" ideas.
  21. Here’s a little more info for Vegas visitors There are some very nice “off-strip” places with a wide variety of prices and amenities. One significant advantage many will have is much cheaper dining, probably free parking and reduced (or no) “resort fees”. Most are on a major bus route / monorail allowing fairly easy (but maybe not 24hr) access to the Strip. Aside from the normal motel chains if you’re looking for a more “casino resort flavor” you might consider some of these. I’m sure I’ve missed some other good ones. Near Strip West Side Rio Casino Gold Coast Casino Palms Casino The Orleans Casino Palace Station Casino Artisan Hotel (Small Boutique Hotel - no casino) Near Strip East Side (Most on Paradise or Koval) Spring Hill Suites Renaissance Hotel Hard Rock Casino Hooters Casino Far South: Silverton Casino South Point The M resort East Side Green Valley Ranch Resort Sunset Station Casino Fiesta Henderson Eastside Cannery Casino Far West Side Red Rock Casino Rampart Casino Suncoast Casino Far North Aliante Casino The Cannery Texas Station Casino Fiesta Rancho Casino Santa Fe Station Casino Try to avoid the situation of having to regularly traverse the I-15 / US 93/95 spaghetti bowl intersection. Road construction there is ugly. Edit Added following: Downtown possibilities, "probably" to free parking and added disclaimer. And, of course, there’s the “old” Las Vegas Downtown Casinos and Hotels: Golden Nugget Casino California Hotel Casino Main Street Station Casino Plaza Casino Four Queens Casino Binions Gambling Hall Most are on or near the Fremont Street Experience. Disclaimer: Exercise due diligence prior to making any time or financial commitments.
  22. I’m not a lawyer and this is not legal advice. Just some suggestions. It’s always more difficult when the problem involves a nearby neighbor with whom you would like to be on good terms. But start developing your complaint case now. You may never end up actually using it. But it will help your morale knowing that you’re establishing some necessary groundwork. And it’s much better to have the documentation already at hand if, and when, needed. Educate yourself. Look up your city and/or county noise ordnances. Probably available online. If applicable, look through your HOA rules and bylaws. iPhone’s have a surprisingly sensitive microphone. It’s useable in both the built-in video and voice memo apps. I suspect other quality cellphones have similar capability. Make a short recording. 20-30 seconds is probably sufficient. If doing a video pan across a clock in your home to establish the time. You can edit excess off the beginning or end of the file but do not edit the inside portion. That is to preclude accusations of tampering. Name the file with date and time and upload to the cloud. That further establishes a “created” base time. You can be nice and let the company know that you have a recording of their transgression. You can tell them if another instance happens you will file a complaint, including the video/audio files, with city ordnance enforcement officials. Or don’t be nice and take action next opportunity. More than one media file will strengthen your complaint. If the sound volume is contained within your HOA you may first have to involve them before higher authorities will take any action.
  23. Someone else is probably going to have to chime in. Is a Chromebook totally cloud based or does it allow you to save files to either the Chromebook itself or to a USB dongle?
  24. The moderators may not be able to help you since it appears your desired lion may have a copyright attached. Just to clarify - you are not dealing with URL’s but rather actual photos that are residing on your computer. I think avatar’s are the only situation that allows non-URL photo upload to the forum computer system. You can do this avatar thing. We can help walk you through this. Are you using a Mac or a PC? If a Mac: Click on the photo. It will probably open in a new window. Click-Hold on the new photo and, while still Click-Holding drag it to your desktop. Release the Click-Hold. The photo should now be on your desktop and residing on your computer. You should move it to some picture or document folder on your computer. Now follow the @azdr0710 instruction above.
  25. For warm weather I prefer something breathable but also somewhat protective like these: https://www.shoes.com/mens-closed-toe-sandals/category_2682 And you can always “dress them up” a bit with low "no show" socks (of various colors and designs) underneath.
