Do I need to worry that cash is on it's way out?
Vin Marco replied to viewing ownly's topic in Questions About Hiring
"Even as the number of digital payment methods available to consumers continues to rise, cash is still king. Cash remains the number one choice for a large number of transactions. Some people prefer the ease of cash in completing transactions. Others feel more confident in the security offered by using cash." That said, many of us ( myself included ) still bitch, moan, whine, and kvetch about the occasional "cash only" restaurant... for years I believe Peter Luger in NYC operated that way... now I think they accept ATM debit cards if I'm not mistaken... same for Grimaldi's ( lime light ) π on 6th ave ( NYC ) There have been times where I'm shit out of luck for this HOWEVER I can be as easily annoyed ( probably more so ) by a business or eatery that doesn't accept cash π΅βπ«π« π€·π»ββοΈ -
If they can't wait to touch down/ land and feel compelled to resort to mile high latrines then just maybe.....

Very strange π§ considering that there have never been more payment options... it could be entirely possible that certain payment options ( Zelle and other apps ) will divulge their real names and that may be where the reluctancy comes from. I do agree with you... they should not list payment options they are not fully intending on using.. -
@Danny-Darko Me and a very well known retired pal would sometimes ask one another if so and so ( bodybuilders ) saw guys ... if the answer was no, we would jokingly say "he would if he knew what was good for him" π Don't give up.. it's worth the wait for when that symbiotic connection is made! π€π½

You??? lol π Those guys have been waiting probably 10-16 weeks for their day on stage. Also consider the possibility that the entire line up has zero interest in what you seek... you're completely speculating that 1. they're willing and 2. that they really want a sponsor that comes with a price or a trade. In todays world many bodybuilders have found alternative ways to monetize the fruits of their labor... Time is on your side... you can look and find clever ways to find out who needs "gas money" π° π€π½

Highland Park is a very affluent neighborhood in Dallas. It's an excellent pond to put your pole in! People in Dallas would likely see your listing.... no different from when my location is set to Beverly Hills, I still get inquiries from all over Los Angeles. I'm a bit confused by your statement above since it seems to me that historically, one of your primary and chief complaints is competition and saturation.. the fact that few advertise in Highland Park I would think you'd find appealing and pleasing. I can't recall listing myself in Highland Park too many times since I primarily am set up in Uptown Dallas but I sure do see and have seen loads of friendly folks that live in Highland Park not just overnights in Highland Park. In places like Dallas and Houston where people are accustomed to relying on driving it really is not so important that you're pin pointed in the area you're seeing folks or advertising. Lots of people in Dallas will drive longer distances to meet people. Oftentimes I'll get folks driving from Fort Worth to see me in Dallas. When I'm visiting Houston people have driven from Austin, College Station and other places. The moral of the story is that different cities function differently... LA, Dallas, and Houston are "driving cities" This is all my experience over the course of many years but I also don't futz too much with boosting my ad for "more visibility" If you're proximal to a major metropolitan area, folks will see and find you.

Kilikiti! My SΔmoan brothers play and play quite well. It's become a traditional sport throughout all of SΔmoa.

A lot of us still wake up with raging boners! ( take full advantage ) I often say the earlier the better! I've always always been willing to accommodate somebody at the butt crack of dawn ππ

Just something to keep in mind... if you are referring to trying to land a competitor, just remember that you're going to be dealing with a potentially very hungry, irritable, and dehydrated individual... Of course, making money, extra money is splendid, but a lot of times those guys are so focused on one thing and one thing only. Even guys like Jimmy Z and Rob Taylor ( muscleworship.com ) RIP π were often met with "resistance" for just attempting to photograph and video competitors ( sometimes not even requiring nudity ) I think most of their success with finding "talent" was often pre arranged as opposed to tapping a competitor on the shoulder. Not to say it's impossible but definitely things to consider.

I can only speak from myself, but I love the long tours... I no longer live in Southern California and I just spent 3 1/2+ weeks in Southern California. I was in Los Angeles three times, I was in San Diego twice and I was in Palm Springs three times. Profit margins dictate where I go and more importantly, how long I stay.... I agree with you , if the overhead isn't a drop in the bucket compared to the profit, I too would not travel "cross country" for weeks on end.

I too believe his frustrations are valid. I've met him in person. He is attractive, he's tall, well built, he's soft-spoken... I first met him at Trio at the forum gathering a few years ago, he sat next to me and he was lovely to chat with. He happened to be in San Diego when I was there a few weeks ago, I bought him breakfast we didn't get to talk about the business much, which I wish we could have but I'm not one to give unsolicited advice. To your point @ApexNomad you could not have stated that more eloquently and I believe what you said to be absolutely 100% true.

I personally like their west village location. It's the most convenient for me. The gym etiquette is alive and well there too!

Why are some clients saying βI only pay in cashβ, whenβ¦

It's in poor taste ( in my opinion; it can imply that you don't trust someone and or that they can't count ) I will count it when folks insist I count it though. My two cents no pun intended π -

Testosterone Replacement Therapy expectations!
Vin Marco replied to marylander1940's topic in Men's Health
Probably not nearly as much as you would think... typically my diet consists of a non-workout day menu( 195 g of protein ) and a workout day menu ( 250 g of protein ) and my macro nutrients vary based upon those two type of days... I do cardio 6 days a week and let my body rest and recover from weights two times a week. I like taking Wednesday off ( or Thursday ) and always rest on Sundays. Contrary to popular belief I don't spend hours and hours in the gym daily. Sometimes to train my legs will take an hour π¦΅π½ I don't futz around in the gym... I'm efficient, in and out once I feel the nail is in the wall. For ME, to train longer becomes counterproductive. -
