I’ve had providers act like they didn’t know about this site, when I KNOW they do. I’m not sure exactly why? But I do think that most providers (and clients) are unaware. I also think that is changing, gradually, as the site gains more credibility and use. I really wish I would’ve known early on, it would’ve saved me some money and disappointment. On that note, I wish I would’ve had a ‘mentor’ to teach me the game a little…spotting red flags, to dos and not to dos, staying safe, etc. I know providers who use a good mentor are generally grateful for teaching them the same things. I’ve learned my lessons the hard way so I would be happy to share my experiences with any newbies if they have questions.
