  1. Do you charge extra for grooming long coats? Or do you give discounts for being cute? (I’m referring to the dog, of course.) https://www.instagram.com/p/CMpQIGZBlpW/?utm_medium=copy_link
  2. Not a game theorist, but as someone else said, there a lot of literature on order effects. I think one big factor at play is whether the committee coalesces around a single candidate before #4 shows up. Your candidate may actually be better off if they can’t agree amd she’s the compromise pick. Also, are we assuming that the committee will definitely hire? If there’s no agreement, the committee often choose to wait rather than go with a compromise pick. Beyond game theory, people tend to remember events at the end of something the best. That may help her.
  3. Do you have some examples? From what I’ve seen, rough men use earrings to signal that they haven’t sold out and are still connected to the streets.
  4. Fair enough. I was trying to understand your distinction between “live and let live” and not ok/unattractive. Are you saying that it’s ok not to be attracted to men with nail polish?
  5. What do you mean by it not being ok? Something can be ok but not necessarily generate sexual interest from you or most others. BTW, man buns seem more prevalent among cis straight men than gays. Those of us who like str8 men may have to get used to it.
  6. It’s hard to know whether she would have given away the seat in first if both of you had been polite. She might have just given one of you an exit row seat and considered that a favor. Maybe she gave you the seat to compensate you for having to deal with the nasty guy or just to piss him off.
  7. Men are viewed as more of a threat but, I imagine, don’t affect guests’ perception of the hotel as much as wandering female sex workers do.
  8. You can also buff for a longer lasting result. I’m a minimalist in general. I prefer sheer, near-clear pink for manicures on myself--when I get back into a nail salon. I occasionally do neutral reds, but blue, green, yellow etc are not for me at all. I don't like the lookof piercings without earrings, so I don't have my ears pierced.
  9. Second call definitely wasn’t legit. People speculated that it was with a paid companion.
  10. Typo. I meant that he should NOT do two Zoom calls at once.
  11. Agreed that he shouldnt be cancelled for life for this. I hope he learned not to do one Zoom call at a time, especially when one involves nudity.
  12. Russian sailors rescue fluffy white Samoyed from iceberg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CBOqttRTYCA
  13. The enforcement was lax in some states, I should say. Bars let women smile their way in and fake IDs were waved through. Some MA universities turned a blind eye unless the cops responded to a noise complaint. At the time, I heard mixed things about enforcement in NY.
  14. The Education Edition: The pre-recentering SAT. A perfect score was so rare that local media covered kids who aced it TI-86 computer Metal jungle gym equipment and slides Lax underage drinking laws The first time someone came out to me (and a group of others) was pre-orientation week in college. It felt like a big deal.
  15. Rikers Island is for posers.
  16. I had a similar situation and got the royalty suite at the FS for one night. Beautiful room but it felt like a total waste to be there alone.
  17. Hotels: We’re not impressed by VIPs. We see them everyday. ‘Also hotels: Celebs leave their cars here and pick them up whenever they want. Also, they buried the lede: Housekeepers narc, and hotels report whatever housekeeping turns up to police.
  18. Some of the older kids in my neighborhood still had the Free to Be You and Me cassettes. The nail polish discussion in the deli reminded me of this one:
  19. Which professions are being attacked? Are you talking about male-dominated medical specialties like orthopedic surgery? Surgeons in general used to throw surgical instruments at nurses and doctors who made even the slightest misstep, often causing injury. If all the talk about toxic masculinity shamed men out of this kind of behavior, then I’m all for it. As I said, I agree with you about nail polish, piercings, man buns, brightly colored hair, and so on. They’re not my thing at all, but I try not to get all Archie Bunker about it.
  20. The Archie Bunker character was 47 when the show began in 1971. In case anyone wants to feel old...
  21. “Guys like us”—at least those interested in M4M sex— definitely didn’t have it made in the mid-to-late 40s, the era the song alludes to. However, I agree about men wearing nail polish. It’s a huge turnoff to me.
  22. BTW, I’m intent was not to call out Studchaser here. Apologies to him if that’s how it came across. I just wanted to hear from people with similar preferences and didn’t want to distract from the topic of the original thread.
  23. I hadn’t known about his story. But as killers go, aren’t the ones who kill their peers (like hit men) considered more elite? He looks pretty hot to me, but as you say, the smart suit helps.
  24. @Studchaser suggested that he prefers tough men and that a guy who committed identity theft doesn’t cut it. I was wondering whether this bank robber counts as tough and whether his partially altruistic motive matters. I started a new thread to avoid hijacking that discussion.
  25. For those sho like thugs and prefer more violent criminal over less, how’s this guy? Does the Robin Hood-esque motive make him more or less attractive? I’m not trying to mock; I’m genuinely curious.
