Awhile back I posted this on Nob Hill Theatre and found it pretty lacking. So I'm here to change my assessment. I was at an event last nite (they called it the Gates of Sodom party or something like that). Not so much dancing -- mostly a sex show. Naked dancers (having sex), naked audience (having sex), in the theatre, in the back room, and in the arcade area. It was pretty unbelievably hot. Don't know how long it lasted but when I left with two other gentlemen for some more, eh, private time...it was going strong and could've lasted all night. I'd say check out the website to see what's going on because this was a pretty happening Tuesday night/Wednesday morning!

I went to the Nob Hill Theater last Friday evening. Not being an expert on San Francisco geography, I was surprised it was just a block or two from Union Square, the main tourist area. Walking there from my hotel, I felt quite safe, but got a little winded walking uphill.
 
The theater itself has 5 primary areas on two floors. On the first floor is the lobby and adult book store. Basically you buy your ticket to get in ($25 for the show and access to both floors). Just behind it is the theater. A 75 seat theater with a small stage with a little runway into the audience. Behind the Theater is the lounge, a small room with benches around the perimeter. Downstairs has the arcade (free with your admission) and the adjacent playroom.
 
Friday night featured two hunky porn stars. Both very sweet and very buff men played with one another (no penetration) and then walked through the audience (spending time with each patron to get tips). Just before the headliners there was a better show, with one of the performers getting very interactive with a member of the audience. That may have been the best part of the evening.

When I'm in LA, this place is usually on my go-to list ... It's super affordable and easy to book at the last minute. The set-up can be a bit off-putting at first glance. There are individual cubicles with drapery for "privacy". The tops of the walls are open so you might hear things. Fortunately, there's a small running fountain that helps dampen some subtle noises. It's semi-private but that's part of the thrill for me that I've come to be okay with. You just have to be quiet if interactive things start progressing. I've got my regular guy that I always ask for in advance. He's young, masculine, strong, handsome, sweet and playful. I haven't had a 4-handed massage yet. It's only like $90 for that. Maybe next time? Just my two cents.

My first recollection of Nob Hill Theater goes back to 1978,
the "straight"kid from Ohio. Stumbled on it while touring th city, and, granted...the rush is not the same, but I still stop in if in the Bay Area for the nod to its role as preparing me to come out. Not only I had never seen a naked man in person that close before, I had never been cruised! Plus it was the first time to see gay sucking and fucking in motion picture form and this kid from Ohio learned a whole lot that day. Once VHS in every home was the norm, I imagine the whole game changed - before that if you wanted to come watching a movie you went to places like the Nob. You got the added bonus of live performers - the arcade section is more recent. Great memories from nearly 40 yrs!
