The Commonplace Expectation of $100 Massage/$200 Escort?
+ JamesB replied to JB_Studio38's topic in Questions About Hiring
“concerned about law enforcement” in the US. Outside the US you can see the rates if the provider chooses to post them. At least that has been my experience. -

Well, that depends. Is he traveling at the moment? If he is, using a massage table might not be practical or even possible. However, if he’s at his home base and simply doesn’t own a massage table, chances are he is not either trained or professional.

I can’t talk about clients personally, but I've heard from providers about cases ranging from mild depression to severe mental health issues, including individuals who can be dangerously unstable. That said, I’ve also encountered providers who don’t seem entirely competent themselves. One case that stands out involved a regular provider who struggled with anxiety. Unfortunately, when he sought help, he was merely prescribed some pills without any real therapeutic support. I strongly urged him to find a therapist who would provide more comprehensive care instead of just medication. He took my advice, and the last time I saw him, he seemed to be doing much better. Experiences like these highlight the substantial shortcomings in how mental health is handled in the US, particularly when it comes to offering comprehensive and effective care for those in need.

I have a NO deposit rule. My concern with deposits is that they solely benefit the provider and offer no protection to the client. Additionally, there's a privacy risk and the possibility of creating a paper trail that could come back to bite you later. Since most providers don't require a deposit, I prefer not to pay one.

Looks like we have a winner! -
Because that’s likely when those pictures were taken.

Interestingly, a surprising number of providers use VoIP numbers in their ads. Go figure.

I have a severe allergy to peanuts and walnuts, so much so that I always carry an EpiPen with me when I travel.

Deportation Nation---How does this affect the hobby?
+ JamesB replied to + keroscenefire's topic in The Lounge
In my opinion, it will make little to no difference. Those who are deported are often quickly replaced by new migrants eager to take their place. Changes in immigration policies, no matter how strict, are unlikely to significantly impact the number of individuals willing to risk migrating illegally to the US. The core driver of this migration isn't the policies in place but the economic and social conditions in the migrants' home countries. Poverty, unemployment, political instability, and violence create environments where individuals feel they have little choice but to seek better opportunities elsewhere, even at great personal risk. As long as these underlying issues remain unresolved, migration pressures will persist. Furthermore, many migrants view the risks of deportation or other consequences as part of the journey rather than a deterrent. For them, the potential benefits of life in the U.S. far outweigh the dangers of the journey and the uncertainties of immigration enforcement. -
In most cases, payment is expected in the local currency. In some countries, like Colombia, Venezuela, and Argentina, the US dollar is often accepted, but it's important to confirm this with the provider beforehand. Cash apps are rarely used, and when they are, they tend to be local apps specific to that country, not those from the US.

Photos taken in airplane bathrooms seem to be popping up more frequently on provider profiles. It used to be a rare sight, but now it feels like a growing trend. Could this be the start of a new fad, or does it carry a meaning I’m missing?

Clients don’t know their schedule?!
+ JamesB replied to Ethan Woods's topic in Questions About Hiring
I don’t think requesting availability for a specific day and time comes off as demanding, but to each their own. In my experience, giving people too many options often leads to endless back-and-forth rather than a quick resolution. This gets even more frustrating with some providers who have the attention span of a chipmunk and take hours to respond to each message. -
Clients don’t know their schedule?!
+ JamesB replied to Ethan Woods's topic in Questions About Hiring
I don’t get it. When I hire someone, my process is straightforward: after agreeing on the services and rate, I ask, "Are you available [day] at [time] for [length of service]?" If the answer is yes, we have a deal. If not, I work with them to find a date and time that suits us both. Am I the only one who handles it this way? -
Keep in mind that as of 2024, Twitter (now X) has 586 million monthly active users, while Bluesky has 20 million. Consider your priorities carefully before deciding which platform suits you best.
