The play premiered (and was a huge hit) right before Stonewall. The movie came out a year or so later (and was nowhere near as successful). Over the last decade or so, the play has been staged in several high-profile readings (featuring some of the same celebs as in the newly announced cast) and there's never been any intimation that the play needs be rewritten to be of interest to contemporary audiences. I wouldn't be surprised if the play were trimmed, like the recent revival of Torch Song [Trilogy]., to accommodate current audience preference for shorter run times. BTW - Boys playwright Mart Crowley is still alive. The current Torch Song has been a surprise hit. Advance word for Angels in America is huge. I suspect that this is producers responding to audience interest in "celeb-studded" revivals of historic "gay plays"...

On an international flight back from Europe earlier this year, I spied a tall drink of water who just made me swoon every time I caught sight of him. Upon landing, I tried to keep up with him so that I could enjoy the view through passport control but lost sight of him. Within a week or two, a particular gent became the topic of some discussion on this forum and...lo!...turned out to be the guy from my flight. Available for hire! Not in my city, alas, and -- even though I've traveled to his home base twice since -- he's always jetsetting, so I have not yet been able to find out if he makes me swoon as much up close as he did from a few rows away.

A few years back, during an extended work trip to a non-urban area, I set up a training session followed by an escort encounter with a gent. It's an interesting dynamic. This gent (who has since retired) had a personal website that detailed his passion for fitness. That's how I got the idea to inquire about the possibility. But, as others have noted, I don't think it's especially rare for working gents to also have a side-hustle (or main-hustle) of doing personal training. Indeed, a keyword search for "trainer" on RM yields dozens of ads, about 2/3 of which appear to confirm that the gents are also personal trainers (sometimes certified).
