1. Any thoughts on the following Miami gents? https://rent.men/AshCole https://rent.men/StasLandon https://rent.men/Magikmike https://rent.men/JRBolster https://rent.men/JackXLMIA
2. I don't see a mention of the Drama Desk in the link you posted, @edjames. Your link (as well as your pasted text) summarizes the results of the DramaLeague awards, which did indeed happen this week.
3. @edjames - re the thread title: The 2019 Drama Desk awards won't be announced for a couple weeks (June 2, I think). Though the DramaLeague also considers Off-Broadway and Off-Off-Broadway (under specific circumstances), it's voting body is a mix of producer, audience and practitioner types, where Drama Desk voters are mostly critics, journalists and other publishing types. Similar in some ways but very different in others.

5. Thumbs up from me! And feel free to contact me, @rvwnsd, if you'd like details. (And thanks @borgerback for your endorsement -- it nudged me to take the plunge.)
6. Yep. Fun, genuine guy. Feel free to DM for details.
7. Thanks, @easygoingpal -- hopefully this hotlink will last.
8. Before last year, I don't think I'd ever seen a full production of Oklahoma! live. But then I happened to see the Daniel Fish OK at StAnn's just a few months after seeing Bill Rauch's production at Oregon Shakespeare Festival (the one that recast the romantic pairings as same-sex couples and featured a transfeminine actor as Aunt Eller, all amidst an emphatically multi-ethnic ensemble). While I found some things to admire in the Daniel Fish production (I quite like the honkytonk orchestrations), it struck me that -- where Rauch appeared to approach the material with huge, open-hearted but thoughtful affection -- Fish seemed to have approached it with cynicism (even contempt). Which made the DanielFish production feel very thin by comparison...
9. CF's Travis remains one of my always&forever pornguys. Dunno that I would've wanted to hire him but I do love watching him.
10. Connor's still looking good -- at least he does in this weird/silly ad.
11. I always find it perplexing when an exchange with a gent just goes silent as the date approaches. I find myself in just such a situation as I prepare for a trip. I'd made provisional ("can we pencil that in?") plans with a gent with whom I'd begun to enjoy a quite flirty exchange over text message. It was a brisk, fun, professional exchange of messages that inspired my confidence in the gent (and stirred my enthusiasm for our anticipated encounter). I know, through this forum, that the gent's legit, so that potential explanation is probably not relevant. His ad's still active and RM shows that he's logged in recently. And my pattern of contact has followed the terms we originally set ("I be back in touch the week before I travel...") so it's not me getting overenthusiastic. But it's been two texts (one sent the day before yesterday and the other sent today) that have gotten no response. He may yet reply. Or I may send one last text. Or I might choose instead to contact someone else. We shall see. It's definitely not my first time getting (possibly) ghosted by a gent. It's an inevitable part of this hobby. But it always perplexes me... and makes me oddly sad.

15. It's neither here nor there, but my wise friend happens to be a fairly legendary drag queen, albeit from the old school (ie. that 90s NYMag cover).
16. Camp is in the eye of the beholder and, while I don't know that I see camp in Roth's concoction, it seems to be reckoning with the idea of camp more than many of the MetGala attempts. As a wise friend of mine insists, camp is found not made -- hence the many misfires of the MetGala. (For me, camp has to evince both humor and heart and, while I see the heart in Roth's ensemble, I don't see the humor.)
17. To be fair/er to Roth's ensemble, it is remarkable in action. And for the creative context of its conception and design: https://www.vogue.com/article/met-gala-jordan-roth-iris-van-herpen-glitch
