I've been asked but it's typically put the brakes on any plan-making. Primarily because I'm not confident/comfortable using any of the available mechanisms for transmitting funds, at least not for this purpose.

We met up some while ago. Fun guy. Exchanged messages this week when I saw that he'd started hosting & he mentioned he'd be traveling abroad in the coming weeks.

A documentary about Johnsons (in Wilton Manors) drops later this month... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jaXLv6Guv90

You might also reach out to @RyanChambers, to see if he'd be game to make the trip. https://rent.men/RyanChambersNYC

As you can see, there are a lot of varied opinions about everything here, so -- to echo what's already been said -- proceed in the way that feels most right for you. (For example, I use a nickname and a burner app and I like to tip. Works for me!) That said, I would offer three main "rules" that I can't imagine proceeding without. Be respectful. Of yourself and of your gent. Goes a long way. Such a long way. Be clear. In your communications and in your head/heart. Things can get confused quickly in this hobby. So be clear in your communications with your gent and be clear with yourself about what a hiring relationship is. Trust your gut. I've been very fortunate to not have anything bad happen and I attribute a lot of that to trusting what others have called one's "inner voice". And I can confirm that my least positive experiences have come when I've been stubborn and not trusted the many cues telling me that meeting up with a particular gent might not be what I hoped it to be. Finally, using this forum thoughtfully can provide an incredible support -- both in terms of community and in terms of information. I am not sure when/whether I would have taken the initial hiring plunge without the guidance of folks here (marked my 4th anniversary just this summer) but I do know I would not have felt as "clear" about how the hobby fits in my life without the perspective I continue to gain from the folks here.

We didn't go there, nor was it my expectation or wish to do so (and I said as much when I turned over). We actually chatted about it, very easily, and Steve noted that whether or not it "goes there" often depends on how the client has responded to the intensity of Steve's massage style. He clearly had no hang-ups about release being a part of the massage.

Both Xavier and Javier were there, I believe, but I did not connect with either.
-
I think so... Is THIS who you're talking about? If so, I did see him, though I did not connect with him.

Nobody was covered last night. (I did have a sweet chat with a fully nude dancer, who did confess his shyness -- not about the nudity tho.) But last evening's event did see an impressive array of Adonises fully displayed with what I would definitely call a crowd filling the new "larger" space to brimming. (At one point there was a "line" 8pairings deep to get into the lap dance area.) But Tim and his team saved the day by bringing another couch into the backroom. All in all, I thought the setup at the new location was well-managed and well-staffed. Not sure I like it more than the other loft or Paddles, but the dancers all seemed to like it much more.

Had my session with Steve today. Torture is right but it was awesome. I really liked Steve’s communication style throughout and ended up just really liking the guy. Given the price-point and the location and Steve’s vibe+skill, I expect I will book again.

They do walk around with everything fully on display. Hard and soft and everything in between.

I expect to be to tonight's nude party event (August 31). Let me know if (a) you will be too or (b) if there's anyone you want a report on...

I booked with Steve, as his location's ideal for when/what I need. And I have been pleased with the ease, clarity and professionalism of the communication. Thanks to all for your guidance.

The second loop in Falcon's The New Breed (1981) is a "money on the dresser" scenario. It's not an especially remarkable scene, but it holds a special place on my porn-loving heart. It was the first hardcore gay porn scene I ever saw. (It happened in a dingy boothstore in ABQ in the mid1980s. I was maybe 16 years old and stunned that they let me into the booths. I used all the coins I had on me to catch the last seconds of the previous loop, all of this one and the first moments of the next.) I sometimes wonder whether my interest in hiring (which I've nurtured since my teens) was activated or fortified by my early encounter with this scene.

I've wondered about him. I enjoyed meeting him at a PalmSprings gathering and looked forward to connecting and then...POOF! He was gone.
