  1. update: received a reply from the "author" of this article and she apologized and said she would "triple" check next time......
  2. I think this is very much part of it....thanks for that suggestion.....I've seen reporters' spoken words from video news reports copied directly into an "article"......
  3. check out this very short article: http://www.kvoa.com/story/38443599/fire-chief-debunks-common-myths-for-lightning-safety read through it from start to finish and notice the variety of problems.....rife with run-on sentences, your/you're confusion, grammar mistakes, singular/plural disagreement, and more.....the mistakes will pop out instantly as you read! I'm a stickler for grammar and spelling.....(and I realize my writing style in this very post goes against that!!.....I do know how to write a proper letter when necessary, but prefer to write this way in this context.....) do computers spew out these articles without human oversight?.....I did, in fact, write a note to the "author" (!!??) of this article expressing my concern...... sorry to grumble!.....but I'm embarrassed by this, to be honest......
  4. possible candidate for @30somethingsexybear needing somebody "less than bright"????
  5. http://bjroosters.com/ went there only once on a quiet Sunday (Swinging Richards was closed ) during an Atlanta visit in 2016.....very casual, neighborhood feel.....had a great "private" with a very cool and remarkably honest (!) guy who I think?? was Latino? - don't remember his name....... grab dinner at the nearby well-known old-school Colonnade ("gays and grays") and gawk at the notorious Cheshire Motor Inn next to the restaurant from google reviews re: Colonnade: Good comfort food. Clientele is definitely on the elderly side. My biggest criticism is it's location. It's in a scary area of town. We we're approached by a panhandler as we were walking out the front door. Across the parking lot is an unsavory motel I wouldn't be surprised if you can rent rooms by the hour. As a female I would definitely not go there alone or with my kids without my husband and not after dark
  6. thanks for the report on the technician.....you do know that's really all we cared about, don't you??!!
  7. now THAT'S how you arrange a forum meetup in NYC.....bravo!!.... did you all see how @WmClarke set this up????.....there's a lesson here for all of us

thanks @tassojunior for the travel comments....practical observations like these are really helpful over tired travel guides and scripted history recitation....looked up your hotel and they even have a "Cold War Package" special offer!......
  9. that tell-tale two or three seconds of silence (with a quiet click or two) after I say "hello" before somebody starts talking always indicates a marketing cold call, of course......obviously, the auto-call computer is telling the marketer my name after I pick up so I can receive a "friendly" greeting..... remember signing up for that "do not call" list that was much-heralded several years ago by the government after the legislature finally set up marketing call rules??.....seems like a quaint remnant of yesteryear, doesn't it??!!
  10. Fairly sure he has a rep who usually handles initial contact.....at times, there can be an art to crafting inquiries and the rep/provider may sense if a client is serious or not.....I don't know why your two contacts were never acknowledged, but it's always good to be polite, to-the-point, brief, very professional, discreet, and honest......I usually never ask about money or meet specifics (what I like to do) at all in the very first contact, but, rather, offer a very quick greeting, ask if they are available at a very specific date and time, briefly describe myself, and ask what questions they have for me.......especially for more "exclusive" dudes like Jesse and the others who have reps, it's important to appear experienced and aware of the business however, there could be several other reasons your inquiries didn't receive a reply.....
  11. they've been very popular for decades, of course, with some......nothing sexual at all and I think one is very quickly kicked out if it seems you're only there for gawking or sex..... yeah, I think it's about freedom and natural stuff......they call themselves naturists https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Naturism http://www.naturist.com/

  18. ugh...my fault!....I apologize......I was looking at Clark Co., WA.......thanks for correcting me!
  19. there has been chatter that the local politicians/powers/leaders (permit-giver-outers) don't want that sort of activity in the area.....Adonis tried to set up shop in LV and ran into heat (I've heard)......it's never had a rep as a gay mecca it may also have to do with money......the locals may not perceive gay stuff as being much of a money-maker for the public coffers...... and, maybe, it would just be one more hassle to manage with their hands already full with gambling, sex, drinking and the related crimes from those...... as LaffingBear says, it's close to being a conservative city......but they have become addicted to the money train set up by now long-dead leaders......
  20. Cher (2002) What She Said Then: "If I come back in five years, I'd be driving around in one of those carts with the joy-sticks. This truly is it." - Cher, 2002 Years Until Next Tour: 10, but there was a long-running Las Vegas show during the downtime. Explanation: "This is my farewell tour. I'm never coming back. I swear to God." - Cher, 2014

  22. your question has no "correct" answer....I was suggesting everybody has their own preference and no two people are alike in those preferences......(gee, do I really need to explain that??!!)
