first, make sure you and the guy already get along in person (previous meet).....though several here have done fine with it, most will say don't hire a provider for the first time for an overnight or a weekend meet ...... ask the provider what he likes to do and make plans around that, though you don't have to do something you utterly dislike......don't tightly schedule the weekend hour-by-hour.....hang out like good buddies......read the paper, have coffee, grab a meal, watch a movie on the TV, ask him to help with that chore that needs an extra hand...... always give the guy three or four hours off each day to be entirely by himself (completely away from you)....he'll need to check emails and texts, maybe hit the gym, make some private phone calls, other errands..... are you comfortable sleeping with somebody else in your bed or in the same room?..... don't feel the need to keep him entertained at all hours.....meet with an experienced, well-reviewed guy and communicate the plan with each other ahead of time......he'll probably say "let's just go with the flow": a good idea..... you may also want to consider a long meet, but during daylight hours only......I have a seven- or eight-hour meet coming up next week, but it'll go from about noon to early evening.....allows us to hang out by the pool, go grab a bite, walk around, relax....I usually don't like other people in my bed or room while I sleep, so this works out - and I'm awake the entire time!

as @rvwnsd says, a 100% tip is unusual.....I don't know why you felt the need to do that (that may be a whole other thread subject??), but you established a pattern with that action and now the provider feels anything less for the same time and service indicates either you're shorting him or he's not performing as well...... if you two are still "speaking", you might want to just be honest and say you tipped very highly the first time, but that you're still operating as if $400 is his standard rate......gee, on second thought, I think you screwed this up with that first tip......hmmmm
