keep it brief, to-the-point, polite, and professional.....I don't say, "I think you're attractive" (should be obvious!).....I don't ask for rates in the first communication, usually to be discreet and to not appear like I'm shopping around......I do give a brief accurate description of my stats and appearance in the first chat and I suggest very specific dates and times of day (a few options) for the meeting in that first chat (many see that as a serious client)......I don't mention specific "acts" so as to minimize appearance to the provider of a sting.......and I close it (the first text/communication) with asking the provider if they have any questions or requests for me......more specific logistics and planning can rapidly come in the second text.......after the first communication, DO NOT make giddy daily "can't wait!!!" texts.......only the minimum necessary communications this is not written in stone and clients have their own styles.....some will disagree with my method........

Always best to directly ask the provider. Several variables can determine the rate. Yes, rates can vary from client to client!!
