  2. Ketamine infusions for depression are showing great results. A nasal spray form is in the works and for the 70% who have a positive response it's much better than any anti-depressant on the market.
  3. For those who don't watch every episode, this blog is filled with spoilers about what's going on in the house. https://big-brother-20-blog.blogspot.com

  11. These are all reality t.v. shows and are produced accordingly.
  12. I'm enjoying it as well. It's more a send up of the Murdoch clan, media empire and all that.
  13. Here's a thread discussing the show on Broadway World. People who've seen it chime in on later pages. https://www.broadwayworld.com/board/readmessage.php?thread=1107242&dt=273 Buzz seems sort of positive.

  16. I did see the Transport Group's production 8 years ago and that is the reason I've decided not to see it again now. The Transport Group did the play in a loft, the audience was on 3 sides and the wide aisles between sections were part of the set. I remember that the apartments bar was at the head of the aisle where I sat, a lot of running back and forth. The effect was that we were all guests at the party but just never said anything. It was very powerful and I can't imagine seeing a conventional proscenium production now.
  17. Loving Vincent is very good and was nominated for the best animated feature Oscar last year. Over 680,000 frames painted in the style of Van Gogh.

  21. It wasn't all that creepy until he decided he needed to shave the boys involved in painting the sets too.
  22. No - I'd miss out on so many great films if I did. The Insult and Loveless from last year come to mind.

    The Rider

I saw this on Friday and liked it a good deal. The director, Chloe Zhao, has said it's a doc-drama - a scripted film telling the true story of rodeo cowboy Brady Janreau who suffered a catastrophic head injury while in the ring. All of the "actors" are amateurs including Brady, his father, his sister and friends basically playing their story. You become immersed in their world. Helps that the star - Brady - is attractive and charismatic. https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/the_rider Here's an interesting interview with the director. https://mubi.com/notebook/posts/better-than-wages-chloe-zhao-discusses-the-rider Check it out.
  24. A documentary about Hedy Lamarr was released last year. https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/bombshell_the_hedy_lamarr_story It releases for home consumption on April 24.
