Gracepoint on Prime is an American recreation of Broadchurch starring David Tennant as well. Nowhere near as good.

Saw it in IMAX which proved to be a big plus. (spoiler)_ If anyone knows who milked a cow and left a full pail of milk abandoned in the barn in the middle of the war is let me know. Thank God they did so the baby could be fed a couple of scenes later - manipulation like this drives me up the wall.

Not great but The Stranger and The Valhalla Murders on Netflix kept my attention. Big fan of cop procedurals so City Homicide and Silent Witness on Amazon Prime are good if that kind of show suits your fancy.

My favorite film from last year, Honeyland, is back at the Quad this week in NY. It's been nominated for best foreign and best documentary. A tiny film about an elderly woman in a very rural area of Macedonia who collects and sells wild honey. Remarkable in that this small microcosm of a story explains the macrocosm.

Saw it this past Sunday. It's one of the better jukebox musicals and I enjoyed it. -
