  1. A Talkin' Broadway review about the production in La Jolla. https://www.talkinbroadway.com/page/regional/sandiego/sd213.html
  2. +1 - a very good production of this play, well worth a visit.
  3. Just binge watched this new series on Netflix and really enjoyed it. https://www.rottentomatoes.com/tv/American_Vandal/s01 It's a humorous faux documentary trying to get to the bottom of who painted the dicks on the cars of 27 teachers.
  4. Enjoy (I hope) The only one of yours I haven't seen is Buffalo 66 so I'm adding that.
  5. 1) Dogtooth 2) 4 Months, 3 Weeks, 2 Days 3) Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter, Spring 4) The White Ribbon 5) La Strada
  6. And then again Love & Kisses needs to be remembered as well.
  7. Souvenirs by Voyage is one of the best.
  8. And the winner is You Make Me Feel by Air.
  9. I marched in the first NYC Gay Pride Parade in 1970 and, happily, saw Bette Midler perform in Washington Square after the third. Haven't done much lately. In 1970 I was working in a very gay friendly business and knew there would be no repercussions so I figured, if not me, who?
  10. If biTopKris is advertising he would make a wonderful choice.
  11. I believe Bette Midler's contract is up in January.
  12. http://www.talkinbroadway.com/allthatchat_new/d.php?id=2378776 This show was done at the Atlantic this past year and has incredible buzz. Could very well be the next "hard ticket" on Broadway.
  13. Undertow https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/undertow_2009
  14. Of course how can any of us forget Bobby Marchan's There's Something On Your Mind Part 2 Listen to the end, it's worth it.
  15. I saw Come From Away yesterday and it looks to me like another big hit is on the way. Believe it opens 3/12. It's the story of the people of Gander, Newfoundland who found themselves with 38 planes of stranded passengers on September 11. It's a musical and I believe will be a hard ticket after it opens. It's the feel good about humanity story we all need right now.
  16. A bit out of left field but the soundtrack to Cirque du Soleil's Saltimbanco works wonders.
  17. Back in the 70's I worked in a 5 star very exclusive hotel so I've met many: 1) Paul Newman 2) Steve McQueen 3) Julia Child 4) Mick Jagger 5) Warren Beatty, etc. etc. etc.
  18. A few of my favorite shows over the years: 1) A Dolls House with Janet McTeer 2) Threepenny Opera with Raul Julia and Ellen Greene 3) Il Teatro Roma's production of Orlando Furioso 4) Alan Cumming in Cabaret 5) Next To Normal 6) Buyer And Cellar with Michael Urie 7) Our Town directed by David Cromer 8) Ivo Van Hove's production of A View From The Bridge 9) Altar Boyz and, of course 10) Hamilton.
  19. Always remember - when I open my mouth and speak I don't tell you who you are, I tell you who I am.
  20. http://dearevanhansen.com/ glennnn you can sign up for an e-mail alert from the production company.
  21. At the moment you can probably find more info at the Second Stage website. Rumor has it that it won't move to B'way until spring of 2017. Nothing has been announced, no theater has been mentioned. I'll be first in line to see it again.
  22. Here's the NYTimes review. http://www.nytimes.com/2016/05/02/theater/review-dear-evan-hansen-puts-a-twist-on-teenage-angst.html
  23. Check out The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Nighttime - It's well worth a look. Great staging by Marianne Williamson.
  24. Blew me away. I can't recommend this more highly.
  25. This show got great reviews at Arena in Washington, D.C. and has just started previews at the Signature here in NY. I see it on the 23rd. It's selling quickly and if interested you should grab tickets. https://www.washingtonpost.com/entertainment/theater_dance/dear-evan-hansen-radiates-charm-and-wit-and-thats-no-lie/2015/08/03/9a263ee4-390b-11e5-8e98-115a3cf7d7ae_story.html This one is expected to make the move to Broadway after this run.
