I've never been to Miami. Any recommendations on where to stay and have easy access to rentboys, beach, upscale retail and restaurants? I'm a typical guest at Westin, Warwick and Marriott... not much for top tier or budget properties. I'm open to priceline, kayak and direct booking. TY

My solution for this growing annoying trend is to simply just tell the waiter take the appetizer back as now I'm on to the entree and won't need it. Management, wait staff and culinary team can all figure out where the breakdown was, but honestly it's just not my problem and I've been in the hospitality industry for over 30 years.

I agree with the over stimulated thought... every day at work I have hundreds of folks relying on me to 'shepherd' them around. I love the idea of alone time and actually create it by traveling to cites away from places I have friends. I have two places to go today and I'd rather sit and watch Macy's Parade and chill and enjoy cigars and wine by myself.
