I'll just add that masseurs in spas get 30% of what we pay. Our tips are important to them. On a $60 massage, I tip $40 if it was OK. If it was very good, I tip $60 .. And I don't consider myself all THAT generous. "Private" masseurs are something else. Many don't tip, including me. Their stated price is it, and it's high enough. If some 21 year-old kid is just starting out, and charges $100, I'll usually give him $20 extra the first time.

It may be wise in coming weeks to stay out of crowds, such as movie theaters. It may also be wise to avoid intimate contact with people whose previous contacts are unknown to you. Right now, no; but perhaps soon?

There are so many well-reviewed guys out there, and this message forum is SUCH a good source of information that it really foolish to take a chance on a $150 massage. I suppose it depends on how you react to disappointment, and how much you want to spend your money wisely -- or how much money you have for this. All you have to do is to read these threads, and you will see how many scam artists and bullshitters there are out there, just waiting to take your money. Caveat emptor!!!

I think that Typical may be on to something. We often identify reviews on massage sites as fake when they are written in the same broken English as the masseur's ad. I would not be surprised if someone at another spa wrote this to disparage a competitor. On the other hand, this may be a legitimate report, and it may be poorly written if the alleged client is genuine, but not familiar with English.
