He quoted me $380 an hour... pass.

I’m glad I asked because I’m stingy at waiting around 5 minutes for each hour we have scheduled! If I don’t hear from the provider, I just assume he bumped me for another client.

What’s an acceptable time to wait around for a provider at appointment time before walking out of the hotel lobby? Similar to the 10 or 15 minute rule for college professor to show up.

Do many providers have required minimum time durations for outcalls? I know many providers charge higher rates for outcalls since they have to travel, but I recently encountered a provider that had a 2 hour minimum for outcalls. If I travelled to him, we could have done a one hour. However, I was visiting a new city and not sure of the geography. I ultimately went with another provider for a one hour outcall.

I always try to contact visiting providers a day or two before they arrive in my city in hope of getting in with them. If I catch them too late, they are usually booked up when I am available to see them.

I was scheduled to see him on Monday evening, but he completely flaked on the session and went to the gym instead. He said it would take him an hour to get ready, so I politely declined after that!

He's in DC this week and has not responded to two text messages and one RM messenger requesting info on rates and availability.
-
He will bottom, but he didn’t really get into it with me during our session. Just felt like he was checking the box so he could get paid.
-
Since his profile says "Ask Me" for position, I have asked recently, and he said he was top only.

I’ve only ever had providers ask to be paid upfront, never at the end. I’ve never had an issue, so I have assumed it is the norm. What is the norm for providers asking for payment… at the start or finish?

He's in Atlanta for the month of March, and I hit him up since I'll be there next week for work. He has an interesting process for booking... no number listed on his ad, so you have to RM message him with your details and a very detailed description of what you want to do in the session. Then he'll give out his number, and you need to text a face picture before he will finalize the appointment.

To the providers, how long does it take you to get ready to bottom for a client?
I was supposed to have an 8am session with a provider this morning, but he overslept and said he needed only 10 minutes to get ready. That seemed kind of fast to me!

this is so interesting. So if he said to the other interested parties "sorry I am booked at that time" then you cancel last minute- he has missed out on both bookings.
The fact that you don't even see that, and instead chose to be offended is pretty wild to me!
I think the provider probably dodged a bullet with you here. if you were serious about the booking you wouldn't mind sending a $20- $50 deposit to lock it in.
Whenever a provider tells me he has other clients interested in my appointment time, I always give it up to avoid conflict with the provider. It happens all of the time.

Yesterday I scheduled a 2 hour session for Thursday night with a provider and he didn’t ask for a deposit when I booked. Just now he texted back saying he had other clients interested in our time slot and asked me to put down a deposit to hold the slot. I told him to let the other clients have my spot instead!

How could the provider have known you were going to cancel at literally the last second and schedule other clients instead of you?
And had the provider double booked himself with you and someone else, and then cancelled your appointment at the last minute while you were traveling to his hotel, wouldn't you be irate at his ridiculous and unprofessional behavior? Why would this be okay with you?
I’ve had a few providers ask me to move my appointment last minute so they could accommodate another client. It didn’t bother me. Why should it!

Point taken… next time he’s in town, I’ll offer to prepay for that session if he’s interested. If not, there are plenty of fish in the sea!

@Archbishop sounds more like you were having “second thoughts” vs. asking us about second chances?
I was not having second thoughts. I'd like to give the provider another chance next time he in town, but I was nothing but respectful and calm in our conversations.

Are you asking if you should give him a second chance? Or if we think he will give you a second chance?
Early is on time, on time is late, late is unforgivable.
If I should give him a second chance based on how he reacted... I agree late in unforgivable which is why I cancelled when I did.

Hello... new to the Forum, and I have a dilemma. Recently I had my second session scheduled with a provider, a longer three hour session compared to our first one hour session, but traffic was going to have me arrive at his hotel 15 minutes after our start time. So right before what would have been our start time, I cancelled the session out of respect for the provider's time and told him I would reschedule with him next time he is in town. I thought I was doing the right thing by cancelling and giving his time back to him, but he got so irate and belligerent with me via text saying he turned down other appointments and such. I cancelled as soon as I could so he could do fill our time slot. If the provider received other offers, he could have taken them over mind and I would have understood.
I really liked our first session together and would like to schedule again, but based on my experience this time, I am hesitant to book again. What would you all do?

I will send a hi how are you message if I’m interested in someone new to see if their auto reply has rate info. And I’ve seen more guys without their phone numbers listed so messenger is the only way to initially contact them.
