*Encouraging Providers to Participate more on Forums.
TBD replied to TBD's topic in Questions About Hiring
Thus proving the point that you created the thread simply to invite mockery, instead of genuine interest in the provider. We can all see that. And rather than admit it, you choose to double down with a very weak come back of 'if you don't like it, move on'. You are better than this, and so are your contributions. This entire thread has in fact made a resolve in me that I will not just 'move on', but instead call out poor behavior. If you do not like being called out, you be better. If anyone needs to be told something 'one more time', I encourage you to read this thread from the start. Good day to you. Be Better. -

It's not fooling anyone. It's a shame you are choosing to act this way because I previously thought well of your posts. -

@marylander1940 absolutely started that thread in order to watch people ridicule and mock that provider. Pretending otherwise is simply inauthentic. -

It has. But in that it has also been illuminating. For me I guess the question that follows is - if this is a largest batch of clients, and the environment is so toxic that providers chose to stay away rather than engage- what can we do about that? To me at least, this is a sign that should come to moderators, but also us collectively as a community. More than one poster here has pointed at one person in particular. I have been often confused when someone posts a 411 about a provider to then see the posts that follow often just be comments for others as to why they don't find the provider attractive, rather than people commenting on actual experiences with the provider. It seems strange, like if I was showing a group of friends a shirt I wanted to buy, i wouldn't expect them all to tell me why they think it is horrible and they themselves would never wear it. I have called out people for this before 'no one asked if you like him, we asked if you have experience with him', and often a chorus of people telling me to get of my high horse. perhaps the community needs to be more vocal and self policing of these kinds of comments. I would say the line is - criticizing an experience, a behavior = fine. critiquing body/looks/likes/dislikes = not fine. It's not actually that difficult or a stretch of social norms to adhere to. Thanks for everyone that contributed. It is sad to see @Simon Suraci go, and even sadder the behavior that has lead to his exit. When I am on the west coast I am going to do my darnedest to see you. -

The contributions we get from providers here are highly valuable, although the number that do is small. I want more providers to comment and participate on the forums. Having them participate creates less of an echo chamber. When we see a provider comment, often it is to clear up a misconception or defend themselves in a post - they are greeted warmly with "welcome to the fourm!" and then promptly disappear. I see pile ons here and think 'this is why they don't'. So my question to the group is: 1. Why do you think we don't see more providers post, and 2. What can we do to encourage more of them to join in. (I am especially curious to hear from @Simon Suraci @nate_sf @GentJ Why do more of your colleagues not post here?)

@PhileasFogg these are not troll like/negative comments. I feel it's unfair to say he is only negative. I want more providers to post here, not less. I wish they were more active on these forums.

you can never fully trust anything about someones status - that is why you must be responsible for your own health and be taking prep or using condoms. I have had scares when fucking women who assured me they were on the pill, and I trusted that. With prep, I like that I do not have to worry about whether my partner is taking it or being honest about their status - all that matters is that I am taking my prep every day. I can understand why some providers are not honest about their status due to miseducation and the massive fear campaign around HIV that we (rightly) grew up with. Be responsible and use protection when you are with anyone - whether that be condoms or prep.

also only had a rentmen account for 4 weeks.
-
it has been in my experience.
-
https://rentmen.eu/DallasSkye cute looking guy who has had a profile since 2020 but no reviews as yet- curious if anyone has indulged.
-
this comment shows that you are lost cause. if you don't think there is a difference between paying some KID on grindr who looks 17, instead of a provider with reviews both here and on rentmen, Good luck to you pal.

My friend recently had twins and said to me "it is more than double the work".

How to avoid providers under the influence?

Not cowardly, and exactly the correct and safe and SMARTEST way to extract yourself from this situation. Two things - #1. Don't hire provide who list that they are involved with PNP. and #2 - while it is indeed a sad situation, it is not your problem to fix him, but it is best that you leave a review here to warn others of your experience. It is not unfair to help others not be in this situation as well. You yourself may have benefited from others leaving warnings of this kind of danger. Pay it forward. And what to do when they show up high? exactly what you did do. The only other thing you can do is make sure it doesn't happen to someone else. Wait a few weeks if you don't want to leave a review that he can trace back to you. -
this was actually the most useful comment on this thread and it went way over your head.

this OP posting this and his reaction to the response reminds me a lot of the scene with "The Favourite" by Olivia Coleman.
-
Don't ask the question if you are not ready for an answer dude.
-
you can not go wrong with Kiddo. He does have a career outside of this, so that can impact the immediacy of his replies - however there is a reason why he is still so popular. The man is fantastic.
-
agree with everything you have said except it will have value - we will all see it. I want to know who it is.
-
for me, without a name attached to it, the complaint means nothing. I had an issue with a provider (non-deposit related) and when I posted here about it, the provider was suddenly very quick to want to resolve it. I would imagine you will have similar reaction, so I encourage you to do so. side note - I have followed this simple common sense rules - SMALL deposit ($50 max and/or uber covered) to well reviewed provider both here and rentmen, and never to a provider who lists or indulges in PNP. Any and all horror stories I hear on these forums people have deviated from these common sense rules.

My hire recap ( I tend to only hire when I am traveling for work) Feb - really nice top from Puerto Rico. would see again but he has moved out of business March - hot guy from Orlando. nice chemistry, would rehire. Average looking guy in Cleveland, wouldn't recommend. April - one of the hottest hires I have ever seen. Amazing. saw him again, but he told me he couldn't do the business as some clients were hard work. He also was wary of how temping it was to get stuck in the industry. smart guy. He gave me his personal number and still sees me when I reach out (which I have twice) May - hot top in Boston. would repeat when I am back in town June- vers guy that was awful and I left a bad review here and on RM. He sent me my money back with apologies and I removed reviews as I believed he learned his lesson. August - tried to hire a guy in Philly but he cancelled last minute and I just got a guy from grindr instead. November - Atlanta, saw a hot twitter/OF star bottom. Was very hard to pin down, but he had fair rates (could easily charge more) and he performed SO WELL. we exchanged personal numbers now we have met and I will see him every time I am in town for sure.
-
I find that RM has mostly big muscular guys who offer to FUCK YOU HARD or little fem twinks who look anorexic. My tastes lie somewhere in the middle - I am much more attracted to lean boy next door guys, and I like guys who are in early 30s not 21. These types seem to be the diamonds in the rough on RM. I am also bi so maybe we are similar in flavor preference.

I would say it's Christmas Day, so most providers traveling now will be near and with family. Chill out.
