  1. I have a friend whose mother is in end stage renal disease and she has declared she wouldn't take a kidney even if one were available, because at 79 she thinks it would be an irresponsible allocation(her late husband was a doctor).
  2. Fine, but lots of people don't bother to take the precautions you do.
  3. Well it's possible he's in an S/M relationship with a dominatrix who is making him do it. But I agree it's unlikely. But I do think there are bi guys who are 90+% one way or the other, and I don't think it's really worth quibbling about it if they "round up" to straight or gay. So if, say, he does this once a year and is otherwise only involved with/pursuing women I think he's straight enough for horseshoes.
  4. Well because in many cases the escort has your phone number and that's all they really need to find out your identity and make mischief in your life if they should be so inclined.
  5. I don't know if they specifically expect it, but I would tip more on that day. If a regular even any time that week, really.
  6. Er, aren't most of them straight?
  7. I'm actually going to Vegas the following weekend. But I already changed my ticket once, I'm not shelling out another $200 to move it now.
  8. So why would anyone pay when there will be plenty of volunteers in town?
  9. There are plenty of places that view of it prevails today.
  10. Your kids will be like. "Dammit I might have gotten into my reach school if I could have said I had two dads in my essay! You should have come out earlier!"
  11. It's possible he just means he's okay with weed. I would think asking him about it would be a question for in person rather than via text though. If you've specifically said "no drugs" to him in the past you are certainly within reason declining upon the spot if you arrive and he's high.
  12. I heard about them in college in the early 90s but being scared shitless of AIDS i wasn't about to do anything in one. I did occasionally go looking around the ones on campus but almost always seemed to be the only one there. Once I did jerk off while another guy and I watched each other through it, but when he started to crawl under the stall I freaked out and bolted out of there. It was another 6 years before I actually did anything with a guy.
  13. It's not immediately obvious to me that there aren't some smaller guns that could be stopped by thick books, but...wouldn't you do a dry run first WITHOUT A PERSON BEHIND THE BOOOK??
  14. If you have homeowners or renters insurance, be aware that you have coverage for "loss of use" of your dwelling and additional expenses you incur as a result of this. Call your insurance agent. They may put you up in a hotel, or reimburse you for any rent you pay your friend.
  15. Also - lot of IT people are in IT partly because they are horrible dealing with people. throw in a tendency towards Aspergers and passion for "Rules" and they tend to get disproportionately upset about things being "wrong." The rules obsession is actually a useful trait for fixing problems with computers, but it tends to hamper their human interactions.
  16. The Miss Manners rule is 9 am to 9 pm, with exceptions made for friends whom you know it's okay to call at other times, and you should always be prepared to have your call declined as the phone call is an intrusion. I don't think I'd call a business, unless it were a storefront with posted hours, after about 6 though. I think you were late to call but not outrageously so; he should have simply said, "My business hours are X to X; please call then." And if he DOES get that upset about variations, he should have them on his business cards/website/etc.
  17. I'm currently about 300. If I ever succeed in getting back down to 220ish, I may well have some sagging skin that I would want to address. I've seen a couple of guys at my gym who lost substantial weight and their skin didn't really adjust, and I would be very self-conscious about it if I looked like that. Also apparently it's a real issue with chafing. Aside from that no. My skin is extremely fair and sensitive and doesn't heal all that well, so I would be one of those people you could tell had work done.
  18. It would be super awkward if the BIL has been a lurker here and known for a couple of years now...
  19. Yeah we've pretty much all got internet-induced ADD at this point. It(well my inability to ignore it) has hindered my life, I would say. In particular it's been ruining my sleep. I need to go buy a 5 dollar alarm clock and put my phone away at night.
  20. Don't leave us hanging, man!
  21. Um, what do you mean? They don't just jerk off the bull?
  22. Yeah I just kinda figure Vegas is a gamble anyway, I have other fun things I'm doing, so willing to take a stab at it. I would guess you do better last minute with him than pre-planning if you want to be strategic about it. He posts on his twitter sometimes when he is available "right now."
  23. If you have "sugaring" done rather than waxing, over time the hair supposedly becomes thinner and in some cases goes away. I had my crack sugared just once and some of that hair just never came back. But I have very fair thin skin so I may be more prone to the follicles getting ripped out.
  24. SPILL, girlfriend!
  25. Dark rooms freak me out. Sorry, I need to be able to check for open sores.
