  1. I just felt like it was way too short for the pace of the story. 8 half-hour episodes each season, and it just seemed like the second I'd get INTO an episode, the credits would start rolling. It was incredibly frustrating to watch.
  2. It actually led to me spending quite a bit less on entertainment. I recommend it to anyone who's having trouble budgeting. Once you get over the hump of the first month where there's never going to be that much in the envelope, it's nice to watch it physically grow.
  3. At one point what I did was set a certain amount of discretionary money I could spend, convert that to a daily figure, then any day I spent less than that on movies, eating out, etc, I would put the difference in an envelope. And whatever was in that envelope at any given time was the most I could spend.

    Grindr?

I saw this phrase in someone's Grindr ad: "professional on the side." Was that a discreet mention that he was for hire, or was it just a joke that his day job was like a hobby?
  5. Why not just go to Piranha, check out the dancers, and chat up one you like while tipping him? I'm sure they won't be offended at your asking, and you can probably tell from their body language whether they will be a decent time or not.
  6. Kathie Lee must be seething...

    WTF?

Can I get your doc's number? I tried a new practice for primary care and it turns out they're all idiots. Nurse calls supposedly with test results leave message asking to call back, then I call back, get nobody, but no ability to leave voicemail. I keep calling till I get a person and they say the doctor still hasn't reviewed my results. ugh.
  8. I think some people use "erotic" to connote going further than the basic HE.
  9. It's not a lot, but it's enough for him to spin off $30k of income, which is likely more than his disability checks, in perpetuity. Or less and allow it to grow.
  10. Also, disability isn't means-tested. He may have lost MEDICAID, meaning his health insurance is no longer free, but that shouldn't be a problem for him.
  11. He will be back in a shack in three years at the rate he's going. Two houses? WTF?
  12. Is it possibly a military hotel only for soldiers and people with NSA business?
  13. His ad seems to have expired. Hope he comes back to Adonis...
  14. Cleaning people really are fairly inexpensive, it would seem like a worthwhile investment for an escort to have someone come in and clean for them if they aren't good at it.
  15. Unclear. You might have been able to buy options that would protect the downside while still allowing you to keep more of the upside, but without seeing what the quote was, who can say.
  16. If those are really all pics of the same guy, they are exhibit A in my "Hipster beards are making hot guys ugly" argument.
  17. Yes, there are definitely still 20s-only ones, didn't intend to suggest they all give either 50s or 100s, but I see now my post reads that way. And the one I go to that gives 5s and singles (which is in a branch that was recently built from the ground up so it has their absolutely latest technology) STILL insists on multiples of 20.
  18. Bank of America gives 50s at some and 100s at others. Some give you 5s and 1s as well. But a few years ago it was 20s and/or 50s with no way to choose. I would take out $100 for errands and always get two $50s. But if I took out $800 because I was going to the casino, I'd get 40 $20s. THAT was a pain in the ass.
  19. Were you looking for Christmas Eve/Day or NYE/Day? The doubling could have simply been because of the date.
  20. Neither of them is politically pure. Lyft was partially funded or founded by Vichy Gay Peter Thiel.
  21. Almost any new guy Tim and Matt get is new to the business altogether, and it seems they get a lot of these guys by chatting them up at the gym. So I wouldn't expect most of the brand new guys to be all that into escorting if at all. But someone who sticks around for more than a few months is likely to be a little more willing to partake in more than a lap dance.
  22. Who cancelled, you or him? And if you, how much notice did you give?
  23. I would not bother telling him you are turned off by the negotiating. That's just inviting further discussion/bad feelings and you may in the future if he starts advertising a rate that is acceptable to you wish to give him a try.
  24. You could just thank him for the offer and say you had already made other arrangements if you don't want to accept it.
  25. 5. He had a last-minute cancellation and now has more free time. Basically the reverse of Uber's surge pricing.
