I do feel like anyone who is strict about punctuality, should let a provider know up front.
While I am normally on time for client meetings, I can also say that clients I see who are rigid on absolute punctuality, pay more. If I have to set aside a block of time ahead of them to make sure they get in my office at exactly 3pm, they are paying for that.
I remember years ago being chastised by a client who had to wait a few minutes. At our following appointment, I announced that he needed to stop talking, and it was time for him to leave my office. He was aghast. I explained that, I knew punctuality was important to him, and I was sure he wouldn't want to be the reason another client had to wait a few minutes. He had a different perspective on my punctuality for our subsequent meetings.

You can either make yourself more attractive.  Or hire less attractive providers.   They can only pretend so much.

As someone told me when I moved to SF, there is no such thing as being late for work here. You get there when the bus gets you there. That being said, it is the responsibility of the traveler (whether client or provider) to allow for "normal" traffic delays. As a client, I sometimes arrive fifteen minutes early, in which case I walk around the block or find a place to surf the net, until I ring the doorbell at the appointed time. For a purely social date like lunch with a friend, (not a business date where the provider has a schedule and likely multiple clients thoughout the day), fifteen minutes after the appointed tim constitutes "on time." And today it is so easy to text with ETA, it's just common curtesy.

I prefer clarity. If the time agreed is 1:30 then if it’s an outcall I aim to be there at 1:30. I’ll check the location and for example if I’m visiting his hotel then I’ll get there early and I can sit in the lounge until the time. If the client is coming to me and we agree a 1:30 start time then I’m ready and waiting at 1:30. It’s really simple. The time agreed is the time to be there. If you’re unavoidably late then communicate it.

It brings to mind the time I was dating a youth who lived with his parents in council flats in Liverpool, where the walls were at most three inches thick. Happened to be his parents were both deaf, and his bed was against the wall of his parents' bedroom and they were literally inches from us. We fucked like rabbits and screamed like banshees, with not a worry.

And sometimes you just have to be quiet... No matter how much you want to yell.
Like the time I had sex in a neighbor's side yard next to the garage.  Or the time I had sex in a friend's backyard of his mobile home with his partner inside.  Or the time I had sex in a storm drain beneath a public park.  Or the time I had sex in the ocean off the beach in Barbados.  Or the time I had sex in the ocean off the beach in Hawaii.  Or the time I had sex on a cruise ship in a stairwell beneath the Bridge.  Or the time I had sex in a porta-potty with my boyfriend nearby (his friend snuck into the porta-potty with me).  Or the time I had sex with a Realtor in a basement of a house he was trying to sell.  Or the time I had sex in the back of a bar in New York City.  Or the time I brought a date to my office and we had sex on the floor.
In each of those times, the excitement and the memory was enhanced by needing to bite my lip to keep from shouting in ecstasy.
    We've all been there.

    lol I have gags too.
I like it when my clients express their pleasure verbally. Moaning, groaning, whimpering, begging, shouting. It’s all good. My place is very private and I have no concerns about my neighbors. That’s one of many reasons I choose to rent a detached house for my studio space.
I get more turned on knowing my client is thoroughly enjoying himself, by whatever signals he sends me, and it becomes a feedback loop. I believe we all enjoy our physical sensations more when we express ourselves verbally. Not just in sex, but especially in sex.

I have traveled a lot, and sex has always been an important part of my life. So many stories I could tell. Here's an extra special one. One evening, in my early 40s, I was in St Peter's Square, Vatican City, and there was a cute (turned out to be French) 18ish boy hanging around. We chatted, and quickly picked each other up. He was staying in a cheap hotel, and we went back to his. We hopped in bed and immediately were going at it. Soon there was pounding on the door and the Italian grandmother hotel-keeper screaming at the top of her lungs. She had seen us come in, and was irate that there were two people in the single room. She threw us out. He grabbed his backpack and we headed to my place. Through some unusual circumstances I was staying in a convent catering to pilgrims, right on the edge of the Vatican. Through a priest friend of mine who was stationed at the Vatican, I wrangled a front door key out of the nuns who ran the place, so we were able to sneak in late at night. We soon were in my single bed, fucking like bunnies. He stayed three nights with me, fucking our eyeballs out, until he had to return to Nice. Each morning we would leave with the morning crowd of pilgrims, and never got caught, and snuck back in nights when they were all in bed. I can still see him, laying naked on the bed in the morning sun, cock at full mast, in front of a window with St Peter's just beyond.
He later came to study in the US, and for a couple of years we would call each other occasionally. Ah sweet youth.

PrEP has been a game changer and has saved many lives not only because of the prevention of HIV but also catching other kind of STD on time and also detecting any changes in liver, kidney, etc.
I disagree, the stigma is what keeps folks from getting tested. Legalizing a private behavior most gay men already find acceptable would be a good thing.

I've never met a provider who asked my STD status.
I'm hoping it's because, like me, they assume that all their partners have STDs (including HIV) and take the proper measures.

I DISAGREE.  It's each person's job to educate themselves, take action to protect themselves and make educated choices...that includes accepting known risks.   If this person was not on preventative meds themselves, that was their choice, and they must accept the consequences of their decision.
Having gestapo enforcing STD transmission is akin to what's happening with abortion right now....do we want the government tracking everyone who has STDs and their sexual partners?  Absurd.

    SDT?
But yeah, this topic has been well-worn here and realistically, legalization isn't happening anytime soon.
I know people who have gotten HIV from Grindr trade.  Getting a disease takes no talent...  Just the idiocy of not protecting yourself.
It takes two to tango.  If you're going to fuck raw, know what PrEP is and use it.
Otherwise, either don't fuck raw in the first place or don't complain when things turn out badly for you.
Take responsibility for your own health at all times.

I think a masseur should post a baseline 60 min incall rate on his RentMasseur ad, perhaps his lowest rate should he offer multiple. A few only offer outcalls. In that case, his base hourly rate should include some nominal amount for travel, and he should make this clear in the ad copy.
Masseurs can specify in the ad that he offers different styles, hot stones, 4-hand, or whatever else and tell the client there that rates vary on factors like travel, modality, etc and prompt the client to ask more about his services for a quote. He need not be completely explicit about anything sexual to get the message across that “we need to talk about what you want” before quoting. The baseline rate signals to the client the minimum he should expect to be paying for an hour of the masseur’s time. That saves time on both sides.
That’s just me. Some clients are more comfortable asking. Many are put off by having to ask. I know I am put off when I see “Ask Me” in a masseur ad. I skip those guys entirely when I am hiring. I like someone straightforward, honest, and fair. “Ask Me” is the first clue that they aren’t what I am looking for. A baseline rate is essential for giving the client some sense of whether he should even bother spending his time engaging the masseur with questions.
Also, if you have “Ask Me” and no other rate info in your ad, you can’t complain about “time wasters” asking too many questions about your rates and your services. You either be upfront in your ad, or be prepared to patiently answer all of your prospective clients’ many questions in a prompt, professional manner.

I think this could be because sex work is legal in the UK. You don’t need to hide behind a euphemistic massage therapist label and be coy about rates and services as is necessary in the US where selling sexual services is against the law. Everything can be communicated clearly in a society where attitudes to these things is mature.
The other reason is the restrictions of RentMasseur’s system. My rates are on my RentMasseur profile but their page doesn’t give much flexibility: just an in call and out call rate. You can’t quote for different durations or styles or services…at least not when I last updated my profile. But I quote more rate details on my website. The thing is, you can put the basics on the website, rates for the different durations etc but clients sometimes want special things like a 4 hands, or their partner to watch, or for me to play a role (e.g. sports coach massaging player after the game and…well you guessed it…the player gets feedback on their game😂) and those things can take extra so for those it’s ’ask me’.

I know! What is the world coming to when a rub and tug provider acts like a bit of a hustler. Tuggers with no respect for the integrity of tugees. When I was posted in the Vatican in the 70s it was not like this. The boys knew where they stood, or in the case of the more talented ones, kneeled.
