Well, at least his 1300 posts cover a wide variety of providers. Your posts have about as much variety as the gene pool in a West Virginia Walmart. But please keep posting! You'll turn your 80 ads for Utopia/Shangrila into 1300 real soon, I'm sure.

What a deliciously offensive line. May I please use it?

  2. Mike was one of the first masseurs I saw when I moved to NY and I actually enjoyed my sessions with him (I saw him several times). His massage skills were (as I remember) fairly good and he was fairly interactive. He was also a pretty nice guy. He was in his mid-20s I'd say, and this was in (wait for it) the early 90s. The last time I saw him was at least 25 years ago, so he's definitely well over 50 by now. I'd be surprised if he's forgotten how to massage, but if you're looking for a masseur in his mid 30s (37 in his ad!) you're at least 15 years too late.

I have to say I felt bad for him when I read the review and his painful response, but I've been seeing his ads with the old photos for several years now and wondered what kinds of reactions he must be getting. It's probably time for him to update his approach.

  3. I don't think so. I think they are just very disorganized. When they closed a long time ago they didn't communicate it on their website so I only knew it was closed when I went. They kept pushing back the reopen date. When they did re-open they didn't communicate half the stuff wasn't working. I now call in advance to make sure they are open and everything is working before I go.

    Much appreciated. Thanks!

  4. I just went to K-Town Sauna. No one was at the front desk when I arrived, but in about a minute a man and woman came out and the man told me "I'm sorry we can't take any customers today. We're testing everything." There were no signs at the front desk indicating that they were closed, and the person downstairs in the building's lobby didn't mention anything when he directed me to the 4th floor. Has this happened to anyone else? Have I just been profiled? I wasn't wearing rainbow flags or anything but I'm a 50ish white male visiting for the first time. Just wondering...

  5. Well put, PA. Also, whatever their orientation might be isn't particularly relevant to the job they're doing. Whether or not they're making their clients happy is obviously more important than how they identify sexually in their private lives, and a certain amount of acting/role playing will definitely come in handy. Let's not forget that some clients would prefer to have a gay masseur, while others are more excited by the idea that they're being massaged by a straight man. How is the masseur supposed to know which clients prefer which role?

  6. Went to 27 Spa last week and not in a hurry to go back. I was confusing Sunny Boy Spa with another place on the same street--Moon Boy Spa I think it was called. They may have been affiliated. I had several great experiences at Moon Boy which is long gone; spent several Sunday afternoons with a hot Asian guy named Nick. I remember visiting Sunny Boy once and it was pretty much a dump; I have to say that's the word I would use for 27 Spa as well. There was apparently only one guy on; I know this is going to sound very unkind but he was very unattractive. And it's not just that he wasn't my type; I have several types and he definitely fit into one of the categories, but I couldn't even feign interest in the HE. His massage skills weren't terrible though. I was hoping to catch a glimpse of someone else on my way out to see what other options there might be but no such luck. The building it's in would need some improvements to be considered dilapidated; the staircase is frightening. And the interior of the "spa" seems mostly clean with the lights turned down very low, but it still seemed as shabby as I remembered it before. I'm afraid I have to agree with the other negative comments.

  7. Anyone know what happened to Allan, the tall Asian guy with glasses at Utopia who worked on Mondays? I kept meaning to go back and see him again and now he's gone. Hope he's materialized somewhere...
