I wouldn't pay it either but some might. If they get it good for them. If they don't they either drop the price or drop out of the business. If you don't want to pay it move on to the guys who charge what you want to pay. -

A number of visitors like to get paid in USD. You can get it out of some ATMs here.

He's new to Toronto as far as I can tell. His rate shows $250 USD for me ($344 CDN). That seems to be about the new local rate
