You don't want oil/creme on your underwear so ALWAYS undress. If the masseur wants to work without nudity he will drape you with a towel. I've never been to any spa with a male masseur that asked me to leave my underwear on.

I'm always nude since a standard spa will drape you like a mummy anyway.
Even with therapeutic only M4M masseurs, none of them had any issues when I would get on the table nude and not drape myself with the cover they had placed on the massage table (I usually roll it at the bottom of the table to let a masseur know it's not needed).

I've mostly had strictly therapeutic massages over the past 20+ years, and they've always been in the nude if the therapist/provider is male.

I don't even remember ever doing a massage with underwear. Always nude.

Once I got into the male massage routine, I've been comfortable to mount the table naked.  I've usually already expressed to the masseur that I prefer a sensual type of massage so there's no need for hesitation.

100% tip is for absolutely exceptional level of service, not just "more than therapeutic". We all know why we go to these gay spas (and they know why we go them), if there wouldn't be an "extra service", it'd be odd.
I agree with the above poster that 40 dollars is a good tip. I only tipped 100% one time and the masseur was so taken aback that I think it doesn't happen often. But then his service has been exceptional.

$40 tip at a spa is more than adequate. I’ve spoken to several spa managers and they get plenty $20-$30-$40 tips. Sure everyone wants a $60 tip if it’s offered and likely the $60 tippers will get better service. That’s how it works. But let’s not shame people.

It is clearly proven that neither the vaccines or face masks prevent the spread of covid. It was all a lie. Both cause more harm than good. Moreover, the face masks are contaminated with many different and large amounts of toxic chemicals like VOCs.

I saw him last month. Decent massage, a little lighter on the pressure than I prefer, but overall a fine experience. 50/50 on whether or not I’d repeat

You mean ‘they’. Singular ‘they’ is used when gender preference is not known.

In this case he goes by Michael so ‘he’ would be appropriate.

A couple have blocked me just for looking at their profiles more than once,  not even their locked pics. I generally consider it a favor because they told me all I need to know that I don't want to book them.

Otterlybelievable reacted to + dctraveler in AITA - Questioning the Price
Price increases to accommodate an inflationary environment in itself is not the issue, but it's how a business entity goes about properly notifying their clientele about it. The problem with many of these independent masseurs is that they are often completely clueless on how to handle business end of things, with setting proper client expectations being one of the most crucial elements. A client being told of such a price increase (with an explanation) *before* an appointment is booked makes a world of difference for a client's overall experience and so many of these masseurs just do not understand this. Most clients would accept the increase and understand the justification behind it, and some that do not wish to accept the increase can simply refuse the newly increased price.

WOW, how unpleasant and unfair! I'd be SO done with him too.
Today's inflationary environment can be used as a convenient excuse to confirm the masseur's "current rate" no matter how many times we have seen him. I've been doing that recently, nothing beats having their text message in defining the terms of the exchange.

Somewhat related experience a few weeks ago - I saw one of my favorites that I hadn’t seen in about a year due to various scheduling issues on both of our ends. I was used to paying a certain amount for a 60 minute session with him, but after the massage he said his price was $100 more than what I previously paid. I mentioned that he hadn’t said anything about that when we booked and that it’s not reflected on his ad (it used to list his rate but now says “ask me”). It was a good massage so I paid the inflated rate but no tip and I’ve got no plans to see him again in the future
