  1. Finally - the corpse known as "Mercole" got booted out and the other corpse Bowie Jane (who laughs at fart jokes, even though she's pushing 50) is HoH. It took to the end of the game for anyone to notice them. Has anyone noticed Matt is getting pudgy in his face and developed acne that not even TV makeup can cover up ? And he no longer walks around shirtless ? And can Cory get rid of his teenage mustache that looks like a caterpillar ?
  2. You talked about being uncomfortable with the unattractive guys in the pool, and then you said you were the only hot guy 'in the place'. Logic dictates 'place' referred to 'pool'. If you were referring to the hotel itself as 'place', and you were the only hot guy staying there - that's even worse. Why would you even spend half a day there if you were that uncomfortable ? Many excuses you could use to leave without any fees.
  3. So why did you choose to go into the pool naked ? If you saw the pool was filled with unattractive men, why didn't you turn around and leave ? Maybe go at another time ? Why make your time KNOWINGLY uncomfortable ? I mean whenever I survey a situation to socialize, and I see I'm not going to be comfortable (and I'm not just talking a naked pool with gay men: I'm talking holiday gatherings and other events, as well) , I turn around and leave. It's happened many times in my adult life. Life is too short to knowingly subject yourself to this.
  4. I like to slowly peel the clothes off the escort / masseur which I hired - especially if they are built. They seem to get very excited when I do this, rubbing my hands slowly over their arms, chest and torso. By the time I'm ready to take off their underwear, they have a full erection (and that wasn't there when I started). I've done this with professed straight friends, too - and if they let me go all the way, I get the same result.
  5. Looks beautiful ! I wish you many happy years in your paradise that you created.
  6. Wonder if he will stay in the closet and re-beard once again, for the sake of his career ?
  7. If a hotel chain had a designated floor or number of rooms designed with her suggestions, they could be on to marketing to a whole new demographic - and winning. The extra wide halls are probably impossible to create without extensive remodeling of the floor, but the other ideas are definitely doable. It's a win for the hotel and customer.
  8. 1 & 2 is correct. As for the last sentence, it needs to be broken up into 2 sentences. Put a period after space. Capitalize However with the comma after it, and you're all set.
  9. Jackson, who turns 55 next week, is reportedly writing a memoir (according to sources close to him). An Us Weekly insider divulged that the Wolverine star “is in the early stages of writing it,” but there is a specific reason for why Jackman thinks it is the right time to open up. “Hugh’s choosing to [write this book] now because he’s finally [being] honest with himself [and] the divorce, and this book is the first step,” they noted. While he will likely talk more intimately about why he and Furness called it quits after almost three decades together, the source is also teasing that the memoir will include “big bombshells.” That little bit of tea alone is enough to get every tabloid speculating about the revelations in Jackman’s book. “The content will be Hugh speaking about his life,” the insider said. “He’ll be opening up about his life like never before. It’s been very healing for him.”
  10. "I'm swaying side to side, these dancers need to stop The gayest man on earth would call this 'over the top' " 😄
  11. 40 years ago this week, Jim Steinman's opus "Total Eclipse of the Heart" - recorded by Welsh singer Bonnie Tyler - began a four week run on top of the Billboard Hot 100 Singles chart, and the 6th best selling single for 1983 . The song also topped the UK Charts, becoming the 5th best-selling single for 1983, and won the 'Variety Club Award' for Best Single in the UK. The song topped the charts in Ireland, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Norway, and South Africa. At its peak, the record was selling 60,000 copies a day around the world, and 6 million in total. The song was 'radio edited' to 4:30, down from the album track (and 12" single) of 7:00. Though CBS records wanted to release the full album version, Tyler thought an edit would be better for radio. (In the second spot was Air Supply's "Making Love Out of Nothing At All", which Tyler later recorded in 1995). According to Tyler, she wanted to sign up with songwriter / producer Steinman when she went to CBS Records in 1983, after hearing his recordings with singer Meat Loaf on his 1977 hit album 'Bat Outta Hell'. When she met him at his Manhattan apartment in early 1983, he gave her a few songs he thought would be great for the album (she wasn't totally convinced, but recorded them anyhow) and then presented her with 'Total Eclipse...' , believing this would be the hit single and the first single. After its successful release, Meat Loaf - who worked consistently with Steinman - said in interviews that Steinman originally wrote the song for him, for Meat Loaf to record the song for his 1983 album "Midnight At The Lost and Found", but he passed on the song, claiming he didn't like it. (Steinman then debunked what was said, and reiterated Tyler's claim that he wrote the song just for her, and it was not leftover from ML's album). The video was filmed on location at the Holloway Sanatorium, a large Victorian Gothic hospital near Virginia Water, Surrey, England. It features Tyler clad in white, dreaming or fantasizing about students in a boys' boarding school. Young men are seen dancing and participating in various school activities and singing in a choir. Though the video has not held up well over the years, the single certainly has for the past 40 years. During the 2017 solar eclipse, the song recorded a 503% increase in sales. The "literal video'' has scored nearly six million views since its release on YouTube.
  12. He's morphing into Rowan Farrow with his plastic surgery:
  13. I think you nailed it. I feel more like a voyeur who shouldn't be watching than an lured, interested audience member.
  14. Without much fanfare, MAX has quietly added one of the UK's more infamous dating reality series to its offerings last week. MAX has added the first six seasons of the uncensored series, with a 'warning' added at the beginning of every episode. Little factoids are thrown in between segments (such as "71% of all women prefer having sex with uncircumcised men"). "In each episode, a single “chooser” critiques and eliminates six potential dates standing on a stage by scrutinizing their fully nude bodies, which are gradually revealed one part at a time (faces are revealed last). When only two potential dates remain, the chooser strips out of their own clothes too, giving the remaining two contestants the opportunity to critique them. The final couple then go out on a date, with their clothes on." I've watched a few episodes so far, and "hot guys" as contestants are a rarity on this show (IMO). Few of the guys, in all their naked glory, come across as sexy or titillating. Not sure who does the casting for the contestants on this show. Anyone else watching this series ? What do you think ?
  15. The 2022 Broadway musical "Some Like It Hot", based on the 1959 hit film, announced it will be closing on December 30, 2023. Though the show got mostly positive reviews, and won four Tony Awards in June (earning 13 Tony nominations), the show has struggled from opening night to find an audience. The show did not win the Tony for 'Best Musical', but J. Harrison Ghee took the coveted trophy for best lead actor in a musical, making history as the first non-binary star to win the award. Other wins included best orchestration, choreography, and costume design. Audience attendance was always a problem since it opened at the Shubert Theater on December 11, 2022 (at times in the winter months, the balcony seats of the theater were closed off and those with balcony seats tickets were moved to fill the empty orchestra seats - a good deal for those who bought the less expensive balcony seats in advance, but a bad sign for the production). The summer months were anticipated to be the most crucial, hoping to attract summer tourists to beef up the box office in June, July and August. It never happened as 'word of mouth' was tepid at best, and the show never became "a hit" on Broadway. The most recent box office report shows only 61% of tickets sold for the week ending September 24 with a gross of $681,485. That's far down from it's peak in June (just after the Tony Awards) with a box office of just over $1.1M. After that post-Tony boost, the box office dropped quickly. When the show closes, it will have played for just over one year with 483 performances on its record. A national tour has been announced, and will launch in September, 2024. A West End production is scheduled to premiere in 2025.
  16. I think CBS has learned a valuable lesson: This is definitely a summer show, not a 'fall show'. They are losing viewers each week since their Sunday show has interrupted start times due to the football games running on Sundays; they are moving the 'start times' for Wednesday and Thursday back and forth from 8 pm to 9 pm to 8 pm to 9 pm...to try and make room for 'other reality shows' joining the schedule ; they moved the show from Wednesday to Tuesday to make way for new reality shows. In other words - who can find it ? And this is to run through November ? Meanwhile, the show limps on...Cameron and Jared were evicted two weeks ago on the same episode, brought back in the game, and Cameron is back for good (that's good news - he's a great player). And please fire the camera operators ! The other day on the live feeds gorgeous Matt went to take a shower - the cameras moved away from him getting undressed and focused on two other contestants talking outside for the duration of his shower. WTF ?
  17. The past two days, the writers have been back and the women are now reading of professionally written cue cards and monitors and...WHAT A DIFFERENCE. That fire is back, and the show is re-energized.
  18. From everything I'm reading on social media, theater forums, etc. for the past week of performances : This show needs costumes and settings. It can not survive on the score alone, no matter how much the cast tries to make it happen. General consensus is that Jamie Lloyd was the wrong choice for the 30th anniversary revival.
  19. There's much more to catering to a gay clientele than that.
  20. Sometimes I prefer meeting them in person and see if there's any chemistry between us before the meeting, rather than texting on the phone and meeting them after.
  21. Don't know this guy, but he makes it very clear in his admission that he had 'severe lines on his forehead and frown lines' and as he turns his head for a side angle, says his crows feet had gotten 'more severe' (not sure how anyone can miss it if they saw the commercial). You may not agree with him, but that is what he saw in his self-examination through photos. Again, at this stage of the game with severe lines, he was beyond preventive, no matter how you spin it. When it's beyond preventive, it becomes a vanity project - he wants to look younger, not his age of 31. Another well-worn cliché appropriate here : Don't pee on my leg and tell me it's raining.
  22. This past week, Nicole Scherzinger (of 'The Pussycat Dolls') made her debut at the Savoy Theater in the "totally-reimagined", highly anticipated, 30th Anniversary production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical SUNSET BOULEVARD. Under direction of Jamie Lloyd, do not expect the lavish, opulent production which debuted in London (starring Patti Lupone) in July, 1993 or the lavish, opulent Broadway production starring Glenn Close in 1994. Don't expect the scaled-down setting (but beautifully costumed) revival starring Glenn Close on both sides of the Atlantic in 2016-17. Lloyd is a 'minimalist' director - which means no costumes, no settings, and no props. Just actors and minimal lighting, and a 17 member orchestra. Going after a much younger audience than the original or the revival, its said he has 'sexed up' this musical (an intimacy coach has been hired for the sex scenes between Scherzinger and costar Tom Francis), and sets the tone early on as you enter the theater in complete darkness. Norma's costumes have been replaced with just one silky, sexy dress for every scene and the rest of the cast have traded in their 1950s drag for more modern clothing (hoodies and sweats, at least for this week's previews). So far, the previews have gotten mixed reactions from audience members - going in to see a Jamie Lloyd directed musical, they all knew what they were getting. Tom Francis (and his beautiful body) has fared the best in their personal reviews, while Scherzinger has gotten mixed (saying she played some scenes as though she was performing with the Pussycat Dolls). Though Norma is supposed to be 50, Scherzinger is 45 and made up to look like she's in her 30s - just a few years older than 'Joe', not 20 years older. The ending and the curtain call shocked everyone (as Lloyd intended) , and video of the curtain call can be found on line. How's it selling on the West End ? This limited engagement, running for 16 weeks before it closes in early January, is not selling as expected. As of this past week, performances through October show ticket availability at 80%. We shall see if reviews after opening night will make a difference. Will it hit Broadway next year for the 30th Anniversary ? Broadway insiders say yes - with Nicole and Tom in talks to transfer with it. However, with so many revivals opening in the second half of the 2023-24 season, expect to be part of the 2024-25 season. Sources for ATG (which is financing this show) have been 'scouting theaters' for next season - small theaters to be exact, as they don't need a lot of room for a handful of actors in the cast, no staging or props, and a minimal orchestra of 17 musicians.
  23. Since Lea Salonga left the show in early September, this show has been struggling at the box office (and papered on a regular basis). It was already struggling before she left, but it really has dropped dramatically since then. There's a lot of speculation on whether this will make it through the holiday season (November - December), so buy your tickets (or grab some free tickets) now, not later.
  24. Did you actually watch the commercial in my OP ? If you watched the commercial, you will see that Javi wasn't using Botox for a deep-wrinkle preventative. He said clearly he already had 'deep wrinkles and creases' in his forehead (at 31) and 'deep crows feet' around his eyes, which made him look his age. He said he wasn't happy with naturally looking his age. Javi was well beyond the 'preventative' stage; he wanted to change his appearance to look younger than 31. It was not a preventative measure for him, it was a vanity project. He didn't want to look his age now that he hit his 30s, he wanted to turn back time to look like he was in his 20s. That's fine - a guy can use Botox for whatever reason they want in life. Please don't spin Javi's choice as a 'preventative measure' in this thread, when he himself admits it is not. If you would want to scrutinize the posters on this thread, you probably will see men who had no work done look fine and sexy for their age, and those with work done look a bit younger. So what would be the point ?
