Judge Mathis & The People's Court Cancelled
Ali Gator replied to BuffaloKyle's topic in TV and Streaming services
I learned a lot from watching Judge Judy, which has helped me from time to time. Most important - an agreement is contained in the four corners of a page. Once it is signed, that's the only thing enforceable by law. I also learned from Judge Milian, too - most importantly, "If money leaves this hand, I get a receipt in this other hand." That has saved my ass a number of times in the past 20 years or so. -
Some of the escorts I have hired in the past who had crazy travel schedules worked for an airline; this is how they made extra money in their 'down time'. I'm not saying this pertains to him - just throwing my two cents in about travel schedules.

There was an episode where a 'groom' was suing a singer who couldn't make the wedding reception to perform (flight delays). The singer's name is Kayola Bora - her name was shown on screen more than once. Bora said when she first met the plaintiff a few years ago, she was just starting her singing career. Now she's a professional singer and travels regularly performing live concerts and meeting her fans. I was curious, so I Googled Kayola Bora - surely, she must have some kind of social media presence, or some professional web page so others can get in touch with her to book her services, or follow her on social media if they want to catch one of her concerts while she's touring, no ? Google search brings up zilch. No such person. Another fake court case. This was followed by cute guy Drew Hastings who sued his ex-girlfriend for using his semen in her 'fertility jewelry'. He came in his condoms and threw them away - then she would dry it out under a 'dehumidifier' and make spiritual fertility jewelry with this. Her name is Poppy West. Drew said he found her jewelry business on line, when he did a Google search. Again, I did a Google search - Drew Hastings is the name of a comedian (no trace of the defendant) and Poppy West brings up nothing - no jewelry business to be found under her name. These cases are so damn fake. -

Cameron has turned the house upside down (as Julie likes to say) and with Cory's help (he flipped the votes) sent Izzy packing. He also realized too late that Jared - whom he's trusted - has played him. Useless Jared has won HoH this week, so it's evident Cameron is his target. -

I've been watching this week, and I'm close to giving up. So far, all the litigants have been booked through a talent agency. That's more than obvious. The actors (including the children who appeared this week) have memorized their lines, and have been directed pretty well for outbursts in the court - so JM can respond with her trademarked "I've been doing this my whole life without your help", lest we forget. These litigants are now well dressed, well groomed and well spoken. No more real people who took the subway in for their case to be heard ! No more female litigants with janky , crooked wigs, in clothes too small for them with the "Juicy" logo across their boobs. No more tatted faces, boobs and necks. No more male litigants with the teardrop tatted on their cheek and no teeth in their mouth. No more litigants who mumble and butcher the English language, so the viewer can't understand their testimony. These are professionals, who look like they just stepped out of Neiman Marcus with a tailored wardrobe and professionally made up - which makes me question how this was allowed to tape this summer since the SAG has gone on strike (I'll assume these actors / actresses don't belong to SAG). I also question who wrote the scripts for these shows for the litigants to follow ? The one saving grace this week was the guy who sat in the galley - behind the defendants podium. Every time the camera was focused on the defendant, there was a cute guy with dark hair and a five-o-clock shadow looking over the defendants left shoulder. Who is this guy ? He deserves his own thread ! If he's an out of work escort or masseur in LA, I will fly him out to my area and keep him employed for a while. Yum ! -
Am I the only one in love with Javi (Perez) - the 31 year old fitness instructor who saw a few lines on his forehead in a photo and freaked out ?He's in the Botox commercials which are in heavy rotation on MSNBC and a few other cable networks. Anyone have any more info on adorable Javi ?

I just came across Will Evans - bailiff on 'Judge Mablean'. This guy pings for me. I wouldn't mind if this guy handcuffed me and brought me to his apartment ? BTW Judge Mablean - you need a new hairstylist. The one you have now keeps putting the most janky, crooked wigs on your head. They look ridiculous. -

Whoopi returned yesterday, and the show is still just blah. Though there was a 'tense moment' between guest Matthew McConaghey (who looks about 15 years older than he actually is) and Joy Behar. Sunny smoothed things over after a quick commercial break. Matthew McConaughey has tense moment over 'anti-gun' claim on 'The View' EW.COM Matthew McConaughey had a tense moment with Joy Behar on 'The View' after the cohost insinuated he was 'anti-gun.' -

Whatever happened to the cute Curt Chaplin, hallway interviewer on TPC for a while ? I can't find anything on the internet about him. The guy was seriously sexy and hot ! -
I was hoping Ari was Ari Melber. Alas, it's not. Moving on...😜
-
I always have a great time with him and a great massage / waxing. He's the only one I trust with waxing. I'm about 20 -25 years older than he is, and he has told me more than once he's very attracted to older men. Takes him no time at all (with me) for him to 'stand at attention'. So if you're an older guy - give him a try.
-
His ad is only a few words, he's had a profile since mid-August, he has no reviews. I'm wondering if he looks familiar and went by another name at one time ? Rather sexy dude. Any info ? TheMann on RentMasseur RENTMASSEUR.COM View my profile on RentMasseur.com

Agreed - Cory is gay. Worst kept secret on television right now. All the more, CBS should remove the predator in the house. Again, if the roles were reversed and America was a 21 year old lesbian, and Cory was the 27 year old male pressuring her to have sex with him every moment of the day, I believe the network would have him removed from the house. Double standards. -
My friend and I both picked this up at the library last week so we could read it at the same time ( 2 different copies, 2 different libraries). We both quit the book after Chapter 2 - it was just blah. Good story there somewhere, but terrible writing.

Colleen Hoover has become a very popular author the past year, with her novels 'It Starts With Us' and 'It Ends With Us' topping the best-seller lists. I just finished "Verity' (from 2018) and I have to say, it really caught me by surprise on how good it was ! A very easy read, flows pretty quickly, and a satisfying ending. Great read for a getaway weekend.

CBS 'Big Brother Season 25' thread
Ali Gator replied to Ali Gator's topic in TV and Streaming services
A lot of attention has been on houseguests Cory, 21 and America, 27. The past few weeks they have become a couple, though college student Cory has said he doesn't want a showmance. He doesn't want to have sex with her, but America keeps pressuring him (especially because they spend time together in bed relaxing most of the day). Yet, America keeps pushing herself on him, wanting him to be more intimate with her (I don't believe he has even kissed her yet). Social media is laughing this off as a 'showmance'. Imagine if the roles were reversed. Imagine if it was a 27 year old man in the house pressuring a 21 year old female college student into having sex - even though the 21 year old has made it very clear they don't want to have sex with him. Viewers would be up in arms over this (as they should be) demanding that the 27 year old be removed from the house for being a sexual predator. Who would be laughing this off as a 'showmance' like they are doing today ? Why would CBS allow this to go on, and make it appear to be 'cute' to audiences ? -
The second album to be released on October 27 is YENTL 40TH—DISC TWO: THE AUDITION TAPES & MORE. This is to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the release of the movie 'Yentl', along with the movie soundtrack. This has gotten more positive attention from die-hard fans (including me). Disc One is the original motion picture soundtrack to the movie, which was released 40 years ago. The nine tracks are believed to be remastered, though no official word has been said on that (but why wouldn't she have remastered with today's technology, compared to that from 40 years ago ?). Disc Two features 15 additional song tracks - including Barbra's demos of the songs, as well as two tracks which never made it to the movie or the soundtrack ('The Moon and I', 'Several Sins A Day'). The disc closes out with the lush orchestral arrangement which closed out the film when the credits rolled - this has never been released on any format before. Barnes & Noble bookstores are releasing an 'exclusive' double LP on Gold vinyl. However, the disc 2 of the vinyl package does not appear to include all 15 additional tracks (according to their website, it stops at the 10th track, leaving off the additional five. Buyer Beware! Here are the additional tracks on Disc 2 for the YENTL Deluxe package: 1.Where Is It Written? (demo) 2. Papa, Can You Hear Me? (demo) 3. The Way He Makes Me Feel (demo) 4. Several Sins A Day (demo) 5. No Wonder (demo) with Marilyn Bergman 6. Tomorrow Night (demo) 7. Will Someone Ever look At Me This Way? (demo) w/ Michel Legrand 8. The Moon and I (demo) 9. A Piece of Sky (demo) 10. Papa, Can You Hear Me? (studio version) 11. Several Sins A Day (studio version) 12. Where Is It Written? (with Rabbinical chorus) 13. Papa, Can You Hear Me? (single version) 14. This Is One of Those Moments (reprise) 15. End Title (instrumental medley)

Barbra Streisand will be releasing two CDs on October 27, about a week before her long-awaited memoir "My Name Is Barbra" is released on November 7, 2023. The first album is titled "Evergreens : Celebrating Six Decades on Columbia Records". This is a compilation of previously released tracks, but this is not a 'Greatest Hits' package or 'Singles' package. These are 'deep cuts' from various albums which have been selected by Barbra personally. One can not help notice that many of the songs she personally chose are co-written by her, which means she gets more royalties from each album sold (very clever, Barbra). The last track is a 2023 'remix' of her 1976 recording of 'Evergreen (Love theme from A Star Is Born)' . There is one track which says it's unreleased - an edited version of "I Believe", from 'Higher Ground' in 1997. On the album, it's mixed with 'You'll Never Walk Alone'. Apparently, outside the USA, "I Believe" was released in its edited form as a single, though never appeared on an album. The compilation will be released on one single disc, or two vinyl records. Target Stores has an exclusive on releasing a 'pink vinyl set to their customers. There's been a lot of 'blowback' on the recording - who is Barbra and Columbia trying to market this to ? Her diehard fans (such as myself) have all the original LPs, cassettes and CDs over the past 60 years. Younger fans who never bought physical copies have it on their playlists. Except for "completionists", no die-hard fan seems to be interested in this. According to message boards and fan sites, the majority of those commenting are 'underwhelmed' and 'disappointed'. As for the 'casual fan' - they will stick to her Greatest Hits collection (there have been enough of them released in the past 25 years, plus the original 'Greatest Hits' from 1970, 'Greatest Hits Volume 2' from 1978, 'Memories' from 1981, and Greatest Hits...A Collection' from 1989. Those would be a better companion piece to the memoir, at least for the casual fan. The album / CD is available now for pre-order on many retail sites (remember, only TARGET has the 'baby pink' limited edition vinyl). Here's the track listing: 1. I’ll Tell The Man In The Street 2. Bewitched (Bothered And Bewildered) 3. Absent Minded Me 4. The Shadow Of Your Smile 5. Where Or When 6. Ma Première Chanson 7. I Don’t Know Where I Stand 8. I Never Meant To Hurt You 9. Letters That Cross In The Mail 10. Answer Me 11. Tomorrow 12. Can’t Help Lovin’ That Man 13. Two People 14. Some Enchanted Evening 15. I Believe (previously unreleased) 16. Isn’t It A Pity? 17. Moon River 18. Here’s To Life (Orchestra version) 19. The Windmills Of Your Mind 20. Who Can I Turn To (When Nobody Needs Me) w/Anthony Newley 21. Lady Liberty 22. Evergreen (Love Theme from A Star Is Born) (2023)

MEANWHILE.... This week's HoH Cam (who is not aligned with anyone right now, since Red was evicted last week) has made a 'bold move' and as Julie Chen likes to say, "Has turned the house upside down." He nominated Felicia and Izzy - a genius move. Jared won Power of Veto, but is uncertain if he wants to use it. He fears if he does use it (on Felicia) , then Cam will put up his mother Cirie. If noms stay the same, Felicia fears she will be sent home. Cam should win this season - he's playing a great game. -

The HOH competition had to be the worst one they ever thought of in 25 seasons. They had to watch video of themselves and the others 'farting' in different colors, and then recall the order of colors to score points. One-time journalist Julie Chen Moonves has sunk to a new low when she's resorting to asking what color farts the contestants witnessed. The houseguests looked mortified to play along with this game, except for Bowie Jane - who seems to have the maturity level of a 10 year old kid in the school playground. She thought the clips were hilarious. Speaking of Julie Chen Moonves, when she looks into the camera each week and closes the show with "Love One Another", is she thinking of the hundreds of people who were put out of work in 1998, when her husband Les Moonves (then president of CBS) canceled the hit show 'Cybil' because the star, Cybil Shepherd, wouldn't have an affair with him ? Not showing too much love for everyone who was abruptly put out of work back then, eh Julie ? -

Anna needs to learn etiquette. She needs all the attention, so she will say some of the most ridiculous things for the attention to turn to her while another host is speaking. She contributes little. With the writers and actors strikes still going on (since May 1 !) there having a tough time booking guests. NO ONE will come on to promote their new movie, new TV show, etc. So they've resorted to showing movie trailers and booking cookbook authors and lawyers / clients to fill their time slots. Unfortunately, the hosts are woefully unprepared to hold an interesting conversation with these guests, since their researchers and writers are on the picket line (the hosts are doing their own research and writing their own questions). This has been a painful week to watch. Hoping next week is better. -

More controversy over Big Brother - fans are saying Cory voted to evict Jag, but producers dubbed his voice and had him say 'Red'. After looking at the feeds, it does indeed look like his mouth is saying "Jag" but his voice said "Red". It wouldn't change the outcome of the final vote, but why would CBS do that ???
