  1. I remember when I first started going to Manhattan in the 90s, there was talk about hotels catering to gay men - to be more exact, there were usually gay escorts hanging out in the lobby or lounge (and very approachable). I never went to any of these hotels, as I was travelling on business and usually travelled with coworkers - so we all stayed in the same hotel. Now that I can travel for leisure (and usually solo), are these hotels still in existence in NYC ? I never hear anything about them any longer. I believe they were mostly in the Times Square / Hells Kitchen area. Did they all get 'cleaned out' like some of the gay strip clubs in TS / HK areas ? Thanks in advance for any info. Looking to go to Manhattan in the fall.
  2. Brad Rowe was being heralded as the next Brad Pitt. I thought he was better looking than Pitt, more talented, and much sexier. His career didn't go too far after this film. Can't recall anything he's done in the past 25 years.
  3. Just received it from the library...this will be my October reading.
  4. Three weeks in, and this season is horrible. Maybe the writer's strike is really having an effect on the quality of this show, after 5 months ? And can someone please tell Ana Navarro she is NOT a comedian ? Her jokes fall flat every time she utters one. It's going to be a loooooooooooooong season, but I'll stick it out. Listening to Sunny's hypocrisy every other day is worth it.
  5. He should do an OnlyFans...or at least share some dickpicks with us .
  6. The difference is "Big Brother" has some hot guys walking around in shorts and bare chests all episode. That keeps my attention. "Jury Duty" didn't even have that to keep a viewer watching.
  7. Javi is cute - I like him with the lines in his forehead at 31. I like men who look like MEN from head to toe. If I want a 21 year old over a 31 year old, I'll find me an authentic 21 year old, not Javi.
  8. I hope I can clear some confusion for you, and answer your question, as this is a topic of conversation on may different forums I belong to these days : Because gay men have always been the majority of her fan base. I can't imagine with the all the gay men on this forum spanning different generations, no one is enough of a Streisand fan where they don't care or have any interest in her memoir, covering her 60 years in show business. That would confuse me. Granted, gay men / boys who are Gen Zers and late Millennials are not familiar with her or her career (if anything, they know her from the 'Fockers' movie, which they watched growing up), so I don't expect them to be interested. But any gay men who are Boomers and Gen X'ers are most likely to be. (I would guess those who are 35 years old and younger may not know her career as well as older people). I hope that helps you.
  9. I agree - I don't believe it will be too forthcoming. For years - including just last week on Marty's 94th birthday - Streisand has been lauding Marty Ehrlichman, saying he's been her manager for more than sixty years. Fans go along with her. Any fan or factchecker knows this is not true at all. In 1975 she publicly axed Marty as her manager and gave the job to her new boyfriend, Jon Peters. Peters was her manager for 10 years - her most lucrative ten years in movies and music, pointing her into a direction where she gained millions of 'young fans' (including me) from such projects as 'A Star Is Born', her duet with Donna Summer, the 'Guilty' album, etc. He opened her celebrity to an untapped generation of fans which Marty never even attempted to do. She ruled the box office, and she ruled pop radio. Once she dropped Peters as her lover and manager in 1984-85, she signed on with Sandy Gallin (who was successfully managing Cher, Mel Gibson, Dolly Parton, ONJ in the 80s). She stayed with him for a few years, and then went back to Marty in the late 1980s. So there's around a 15 year gap where Marty was NOT her manager - yet she seems to forget this. And these were her most successful 15 years. So how will she explain this away in her book ? What will be 'her truth' ? Will she erase Peters and Gallin from her career completely ? These are the chapters I'm most interested in, especially since she thanked Marty on his birthday last week for being by her side for 60 years.
  10. Any Streisand fan who's following along - some good news / bad news: Good news released today is that STREISAND HERSELF is reading the audiobook of her memoir. But that's also the bad news, since completests will have to invest in this, too. Even if you're not a completest - every fan will want this. The audiobook promises 'anecdotes' and 'music' to go along with the reading. OY VEY!
  11. It's funny - usually the guys who come in the house with a hot body or even an "okay body" are really smokin' by the middle of the season and onward. They watch what they eat, and work out with weights - getting better bodies every day. So why hasn't this happened to Jared ? He had a nice body coming in, but now he looks like he's gaining weight (especially in the face) and is getting manboobs - no more pecs. He went from sexy to OK. Even gay twink Cory has gotten a little sexier. Matt still has the body (and you know because he's working out) but a little pudgy in his face - especially in his chin.
  12. Either player would be ideal in the #2 seat for the finals. It would be so easy for the house guest in the the #1 seat prove he / she should be the winner. In BB history, we all know the 'floater' never wins the grand prize.
  13. Who is Mecole ? 😄 Whenever she's on camera, I ask myself "She's still on ? I forgot about her. "
  14. So will he finally come out of the closet ?
  15. Uggggggggh. Jared put up Cory and America, with Cameron as his back-door target (no shit!). Jag wins POV and takes down his ally, Cory - and Cameron goes up. Cameron has been doing a damn good job convincing the houseguests to keep him in the house, so he can finish getting out Cirie and Jared. It's come to everyone's attention that Jared is a liar, and Cirie covers for him (though they haven't made the mother / son connection). Oh, I hope Cameron stays...he and Cory are playing the best game.
  16. If you haven't heard the news this weekend, Hugh Jackman 55, has filed for divorce from his wife of 27 years (she's 13 years older than him). According to many 'sources' who worked for the couple over the past two decades, there wasn't much of a marriage in private - it was mostly for show. One source, who worked as his personal assistant for a few years in the 2010s, said the couple barely spoke to each other and slept in separate bedrooms. Now there has been speculation and rumors about Jackman (and his 'beard') for years. Maybe he will 'come out' at 55 ? Maybe he will show up on someone's Grindr ? Just sayin'.... 😀
  17. My cable / internet is coming due at the end of November, and I really want to cut my bill down (I have a DVR, remote DVR and the second-tier of cable programming, with free HBO). I also subscribe to Netflix and Prime. I'm thinking of dropping Netflix, as don't watch it enough each month. I'd like to cut back further on my cable, though.
  18. I don't mind them if they are on a well-sculpted (but not overdone) smooth chest, or one which has little hair down the middle between the pecs. As much as I like a fully hairy chest on a guy, I don't like a gold chain against a hairy chest. I don't know why ...
  19. Crabtree & Evelyn. They didn't realize their loyal market were older women (30+) and decided to go after the trendy Zoomers instead. The lost their core market and never attracted enough Zoomers.
  20. I encourage everyone here to watch "Scouts Honor: The Secret Files of the Boy Scouts of America" which was just released the other day on Netflix. At times it's very disturbing, yet it's a show that should be seen by everyone (I was never a scout, but I have a few close friends who were at different times). It details the decades of sex abuse against these young boys which was covered up by the BSA, and the trauma these guys - now in their 30s, 40s, 50s + are dealing with today. At one point, the spokesperson for the survivors claims there are more sex abuse claims in the BSA (82,000+) than there have been in the Catholic Church of America, or the Southern Baptist Youth Programs. More attention has been placed on the Catholic Church, because the Boy Scouts did a much better job of covering up the crimes and moving scout leaders to different locations quickly, as questions were raised by families. Unlike the Catholic Church, the BSA rarely kept paper trails on their decisions to move scout leaders. (In other words, there are probably thousands more sexual abuse crimes over the decades, yet harder to investigate because of the tactics of the BSA). In April, 2023 the BSA filed for bankruptcy, so it wouldn't have to pay the victims. 10 Most Shocking Boy Scouts Reveals From Netflix's Scout's Honor Documentary SCREENRANT.COM The Boy Scouts documentary had shocking moments.
  21. I remember watching TPC in the early 2000s. Filming took place on Madison Avenue, on the fifth floor of a bank building in empty office space. I would stay in Times Sq (Millenium Hotel) three or four times a year, and Harvey Levin would be in front of the McDonald's / TS Visitor's Center / Palace Theater giving out free tickets to the show early in the morning, and then have cameras surrounding him as he 'talked' to audience members in TS for their reaction (the TV screen used to be in the TS Visitor's Center Lobby). I never took tickets from him for a taping (I wasn't visiting NY for that), but I would hang around later to see him talk to the 'people on the street'. He surrounded himself with hunks who worked as strippers at the Gaiety across the street. You would see them walk over to the theater when the taping was over, getting ready for their 'matinee'. More than once on TPC back then I would see former Playgirl models as well as Manhattan based escorts and masseurs (some who I had hired) as litigants. Most of the time they were defendants, being sued for rent by their landlords or for loans by their girlfriends. So weird seeing these men dressed - sometimes with a suit on !
  22. BTW, there's no better way to be a 'traveling escort' or 'traveling masseur' than when your full time employer pays your way and lodging from city to city. I mean - best of both worlds, right ? (And maybe they should cut their rates a bit since they have no travel or lodging to pay for while visiting a certain location - just saying).
  23. I loved the bad boys of Judge Judy and TPC. Some of them were the sexiest guys on the planet.
  24. Every time I hear or read about Mitchell Gold, I immediately think 'The Good Wife' TV series. They furnished that show with the dullest, most boring furniture imaginable - the office furniture, the apartment furniture, etc. Close to home (in RI) a wealthy (think 'trust fund babies') young couple took a gamble, and opened store in a very upscale neighborhood of exclusively all MG furniture and accessories (they didn't name it 'Mitchell Gold', but they advertised 'featuring Mitchell Gold' in all signage and promotional marketing). They got plenty of press - as 'The Good Wife' was a hit on TV (and they would advertise 'as seen on 'The Good Wife'). It was the most boring store to 'shop' in; beige and gray with a hint of black accessories. I would stop in from time to time on my way to meeting friends for dinner in one of the restaurants surrounding the store. No one was ever in it. They were in the right location - surrounded by moneyed families in upscale apartments, condos and homes. But no one was interested in it. It just wasn't "New England" taste, I guess. Needless to say, the store lasted about a year before it closed up shop.
  25. A lot of the guys I met up with are relatively new to the job (a year or less) and many are not working for major airlines. They are on the smaller airlines which never fly into major hubs (which make their passenger tickets 'such a deal'). More than once these (hunky) guys have told me their pay is 'OK' but they make their real money meeting clients while they are spending a night here. A few times, I've asked the muscle hunks if they ever recognize a client as a former passenger they just served on the plane - and surprisingly, the majority of answers are YES. A fantasy come true.
