I think you can set it to how far you want it to show you are from your real location. So people know the general area but not the exact street/building. With Grindr doesn’t it show how many feet away you are which seems more of a security issue. They can walk down the block until they get zero feet.
Re Travis I have seen some providers say they dislike phone calls because callers tend to be less serious about booking and looking for a version of phone sex. Combine that with asking about an appointment two weeks out and the caller could seem to be a time waster. Don’t know Travis but just a theory.
