Since I have a similar daily contribution on Facebook and since the first few pictures I saw all looked familiar, I went a bit further in depth than usual to see if there was anything new there. There really was not. Your post has alerted Moondance, who did not start this thread. It wasn't advice it was a suggestion that this particular topic has a very extensive Facebook presence.

It seems that most every picture here has been posted on a facebook account, Muscle Guys Smiling. I looked at it once about 2 years ago and now, everyday, on my Facebook account I get a series of these pictures. Perhaps a link to that site might save Marylander the time involved in reproducing them here.

I once had an altercation with a postal employee who came into my office, in summer uniform and began shouting obscenities, ostensibly because one of his children had lied to him. It came to the point that I called the police and when he ran out of the office upon hearing that, I copied down his license plate number. The police contacted him and apparently they also contacted the post office. Two days later, the Post Master General for the NJ area came to my office. He informed me that if i pressed charges, the employee would lose his job. I am sure he knew that his job was on the line as soon as the police became involved. I had no desire for the man to lose his job, though I did recommend that he take anger management training. I have no idea what happened as I decided that I did not want to press charges. That was mostly out of compassion and partly out of fear of repercussions. Organizations and employers take their image seriously and employees who do not represent them well, are ofttimes fired.

Opiate epidemic is a hot topic these days. It is not just kids getting involved though the ones that usually overdose do so on heroin to which they switched when they were not longer able to afford the prescription drugs.

Are you are saying that remarks made in a public forum by a public person which potentially impacts her employers in a negative way, only should have consequences once the effect it known, so it should be delayed and tenative? Or are you saying she long ago passed the point of public decency in her posting and that this was very late in coming? It seems if it is the first, would you ever expect employers to hold employees to a standard of behavior which does not negatively impact the company directly but which is offensive to the sensibilities of a large portion of their potential clients? If if is the second, you should be applauding the ABC exces for finally waking up. I am not as indecisive as Chidi. Is different I guess than I am more decisive than Chidi. But do they both mean I am not as indecisive than Chidi.

I like muscular men. I do not hire thin men, twinks, sticks, bois. etc. I do not exhibit this preference in other aspects of my life. I see no reason why having a "type" and that includes racial preferences makes one a racist. Who you want in your bed has little to do with how you treat people out of it.

While killing a character off in a comedy is difficult, it is hard to imagine them killing off a child. I cannot recall a comedy killing off a child, usually if the actor is to be dismissed, they send the kid off to camp or college. Or in the case of Happy Days' Chuck, he walks out the door and is barely mentioned again. Not much funny about that. Killing off a character such as DiDi, Shelley Long, or Phil's dad, allows for some pathos without the drag of the death pulling down the comedy. When they killed off Phil's mom a few years ago, they used it as a subplot for his dad starting to date again at his mother's bequest. Killing off Didi once again would allow some pathos. Killing off Ed O'Neil near the end and having the finale reveal that the show was Ed O'Neil reflecting back on his life, would be possible. They do break the fourth wall frequently in this show and that would also give an explanation for that.
