  1. I agree and everything that has happened has been for the worse, particularly Acapulco.
  2. I was in Mexico in 1972 and 1974. A long time ago. I recall walking in along the street in Mexico City and young men embracing me and saying “amigo” and frisking me. I was lying on the beach in Acapulco and a guy coming up and started talking to me. I developed a sixth sense and turned around and his mate had come from behind and was running away with my shorts. As soon as he saw me he dropped them. The Mexicans would be some of the most rapacious people I have ever encountered. Totally spoilt by Americans and see foreigners as people to be ripped off. In Acapulco in those days working boys were certainly not allowed in hotels.I might add that these days, from articles I have read, it is right in the middle of the drug scene and is literally a war zone, a massive change from the 70’s when it was a playground for the rich and fatuous. I believe crime is a major factor all over Mexico and I would not care to stay at a hotel crawling with rent boys.
  3. Very cute. Has three very nice reviews on Rentmen.
  4. His 12 Rentmen reviewers certainly like him.
  5. I had my third hair transplant the week before last. I think I prefer hair.
  6. The conductor at the Met performance I was referring to was Carlo Felice Cillario. The “Opera” reviewer said he let the singers get away with “murder”. Cillario had a very long association with Opera Australia dating from the 1960’s until near his death. He was musical director but his international commitments meant he had to relinquish this role but he returned to conduct every year. He was much loved by Australian audiences.
  7. I recall reading a review in “Opera”magazine of a performance of “Tosca” at the Met with Caballe and Pavarotti. In the second act “torture “ scene they were at opposite ends of the huge Met stage standing there like stuffed dummies belting out the music with characteristic beauty but hardly looking at one another and refusing point blank to act.
  8. The death has been announced of Montserrat Caballe aged 85. This singers versatility was staggering. Apart from the bel canto repertoire she cut a swathe through the major works of Verdi, Puccini, the French repertoire (including some rarities) as well as Wagner (including Isolde) and Richard Strauss. I recall of a review of her performance of “Salome” (I think at La Scala) although the Dance of the 7 Viels was for obvious reasons a rather tepid affair. Her propensity for cancelling performances was legendary although in fairness this was due to ill health including I believe a brain tumour rather than Pavarotti like capriciousness. A great artist. RIP Montserrat.
  9. Thank you. Much appreciated.
  10. How true. You can get decent seats at every performance.
  11. If he came my way I don’t think I would hesitate but I have a serious concern. How could I possibly compose a review of such literary merit like the one I quoted above to do justice to the experience? Australia has only produced one person who has won the Nobel Prize for literature and that was Patrick White who was gay. Unfortunately I am no Patrick White.
  12. I thought he was too good to be true.
  13. If this guy is real he is the discovery of the century: www.sleepyboy.com/uk/London/escort/MARBOL
  14. This is slightly off topic but it’s an issue I would like to raise. My favourite London escort used to advertise exclusively on Gay Romeo but since the (disasterous) changes to that website tells me he has had a marked decrease in new enquires and now advertisers on Rentmen and Sleepyboy. To put it brutally Gay Romeo has been stuffed completely. I for one can’t get used to it and I’m not the only one.
  15. My favourite London escort charges 120 pounds on hour in call.
  16. As I have written on this thread I don’t totally share the effusive enthusiasm for the place. It suffers by comparison with the Brazilian saunas. Having said that if I return to Barcelona I will return to Thermas. I’m off to São Paulo in 2 weeks. Lagoa here I come!
  17. There is a sign in the foyer of Thermas in Spanish with an English translation to the effect of paying for sexual services prohibited. Management obviously does not lack a sense of humour.
  18. Has anyone been to this rent boy saunas lately? I have not read any recent reviews. The Google reviews are useless because they are written by people who did not realise it was a rent boy sauna. Comments from recent attendees welcome.

I suggest you look at the Rentmen reviews and go to a review by WHH dated 8 July 2018. Reviews do not get better than this.

Today’s cover boy is certainly a stunner. The Rentmen reviews are positively ecstatic. A rare find it would seem.
  21. I think you would have to be a rather unique individual to be straight but have sex with a person of your own gender. This is particularly the case as an escort when you are with a very wide spectrum of people. Some cultures eg Latin men often refer to themselves as “bisexual “ and do not have as many hangups. I have been to Brazil many times and I am sure that many of the guys I have met in the rent boy saunas are straight and sex with other men is not an issue but men from anglo Saxon cultures would to use my word in the first sentence have to be “unique”.
  22. He’s adorable but I worry about straights who work as gay escorts. Bradley is even cuter but the same qualification applies.
  23. From the Rentmen reviews this is my favourite dated 7 August 2018: ''Mike has this quality about him that is quite intriguing. I am sure a majority of people may disagree with me but for me Mike is like a great book. Some books have great covers but the inside is plain trash. Some books are just fine but don't last the test of time. Great books you just want to keep reading because each time you do one finds something new, something engaging, and something truly fascinating." Is the author of these noble words Wordsworth, Hazlitt or Coleridge reincarnated?
