  1. I’m back in London in just over a week so any further recommendations welcome.
  2. On Thursday I attended the opening night of the Royal Opera’s new production of Lohengrin. I have seen the opera twice before in an ultra traditional Opera Australia production dripping with medieval mysticism. Rather predictably this David Alden production was updated to about I would guess the 1930’s in a European country probably Germany. Although I am an unashamed reactionary when it comes to opera production I would have to admit the production had a dramatic cogency. Reading the reviews it has divided the critics. The heroes of the evening were the conductor Andris Nelsons and the magnificent orchestra and chorus. Hearing that band and chorus in full flight was a thrilling experience. Of the singers the women won the night. Christine Goerke was superb as Ortrud and the young Jennifer Davis excellent as Elsa. She was to be the understudy to Kristine Opalias (the estranged wife of the conductor) but Opalias cancelled early in the proceedings (I wonder why? (sic) ). Klaus Florian Vogt as Lohengrin was sweet voiced but not exactly thrilling but dramatically very plausible. He certainly has the physique du role. All in all an entertaining and thoughtful night at the opera.
  3. I endorse the review of David of joyoftouch. I engaged him yesterday. Excellent masseur, cute as a button and a HE.
  4. I think my Pavlovian reaction to this lad was a little impetuous.
  5. Today’s cover boy. What is there to say but WOW! One of nature’s masterpieces.
  6. Anyone been to Mykonos lately?
  7. The one review on Rentmen by DominateDude is bizarre and contradictory.
  8. Comments, recommendations anyone?
  9. I agree Adam looks great but he does say what he is into. 200 pounds an hour is expensive.
  10. I have it on excellent authority that Herr Kaufmann will sing the lead in a semi staged performance of “Andrea Chenier” in Sydney next year. Sydney is still recovering (in the best sense of the word) from his Parsifal last year. Let’s hope my “authority” on Chenier is right!
  11. This whets the appetite for Ms Netrebko’s Aida at the Met later in the year. Lucky New Yorkers!

    Craigslist

There is no content this morning on Craigslist for gay massage or escorts in Sydney or London. Could be just an aberration or is it going the way of Backpage?

    Villa Gianni

Good question. I am on London on 1 June. I have never been to Villa Gianni before and might pay it a visit on this trip.
  14. Any recommendations for London based on experience ? Thank you.
  15. I was just about to report this but Fyton beat me to it. I tried to log into Backpage male escorts Sydney this morning and received an error massage likewise for London, my next holiday destination. I googled Backpage and ''the Feds'' have seized was reported.
  16. The new Gay Romeo website is a shocker. It was designed to confuse.
  17. The first one, Travis, is very cute.
  18. I have been re reading some of the reviews of Ms Netrebko in ''Macbeth'' and this quote from the ''Spectator'' review neatly encapsulates the consensus: ''Netrebeko gave one of the most stunning vocal performances heard in this theatre for many years. Her voice is now enormous but miraculously retains its flexibility and range of colour. It is completely at her command, absolutely steady, and deployed with rare dramatic intelligence. Verdi would have been disarmed.'' High praise indeed.
  19. The Royal opera House have just announced their 2018-2019 season. Apart from the earlier announced Ring (already sold out) the hottest show of the season will surely be ''La Forza del Destino" featuring Anna Netrebko, Jonas Kaufman, Ludovic Tezier and Ferruccio Furlanetto. What a cast! Ms Netrebko is currently singing Lady Macbeth at the Garden and has received rave reviews, spectacularly justifying her choice of repertoire. Google ''Macbeth'' at Covent Garden and read them for yourself.
  20. There is a review of Tommy on Rentmen dated 27 February 2017 where the reviewer said he had a bad experience with an escort using Tommy’s pics but this is the real Tommy. With Tommy’s aliases and people using his pics I wonder if this lad is worth all the complications. There are other fish in the sea.
  21. There is a character named Michael in London on Sleepyboy who if I am not mistaken is either using Tommy's photos or is Tommy. See my earlier posts in this thread. I remain hopelessly confused.
  22. What was the name of your Manchester boy?
  23. Goodness gracious. If their website is to be believed I predict many contributors to this esteemed forum deciding that KL is their next choice of a holiday destination. I eagerly await further details.
  24. The Facebook page of the Royal Opera House have invited friends to comment on what they have enjoyed most in the most recent opera season. Predictably Jonas Kaufmann in ''Otello'' and Joyce diDonato in "Semiramide'' figured most prominently but I was pleasantly surprised by the large number of people who mentioned Ermonela Jaho in ''Madama Butterfly''. After her sensational performance in ''Traviata'' in Sydney it was pleasing to note Londoners and visitors to Covent Garden appreciated her talent. I predict a superstar in the making. As I said in starting this thread if the lady should come your way don't miss her.
  25. Looking at his Rentmen entry Justin is in Sydney on 27 and 28 February. Something to consider.
