Why so some schedule escorts like a bus stop?

How much clearer do I need to spell things out for people, to realize that contacting an hour before they want a session, is going to be mostly a LUCK maneuver. I just can’t stress it enough. Many of missed appointments aren’t due to being late or changing times, it’s just due to not allowing enough notice to arrange things to fit people with limited schedules. It doesn’t have to be two or three weeks notice, but just something like a day or 3 hours at least. Ask the average caller from rentmen to allow three hours, from the time they first call, and the appointment is usually a no go.

 

The amount of missed connections and last minute requests for appointments are about to drive me to only offering $100 rub n tugs and getting off of rentmen, or withdrawing from do anymore travel out of town for appointments. Simply because, the amount of limited planning going on is requiring me to want to have several people a day in the chamber, to make up for the missed connects.

 

Just today, in 12 hours...I’ve had 3 missed appointments. Not because I was late, or changed the time. Because people waited all day...then at the last minute want to book an appointment. I told someone yesterday, come tonight...because I’m checking out by noon tomorrow. What does he do? Texts me a 1130 am to meet at 12:30 pm. I extend my checkout until 1, he still doesn’t show up.

 

Another instance, I waited around until 6 pm to decide if I was going to remain in a city I was stopping over in for the day. The ad has been up for 5 days. Today, I had no appointments scheduled. So figured, why not just get going to my next destination. As I’m leaving, guy calls me for a session. At that point, I could have turned around...had he waited an hour. Well he didn’t want to wait an hour, and he wanted ME to host. Well that’s too bad! You could have called me at any other time, and he does it when I’m 20 miles outside of town already.

 

And then, as I’m on my way to the next destination, someone texts and wants to meet an hour prior to the time I arrive. No response when I said I’d be available to come at 8:45 instead of 7-730.

 

Even while I was in D.C., despite the good couple appointments I got my last couple days there, it was all last minute. I didn’t mind because I was already in the city, but that was just luck.

 

How do I make it any clearer to people, that just because my ad is up in an area, does not mean I’m always available AT THE SAME TIME as they are. It’s like I’m not even being given room to make things happen. I’ve tried putting these things in my ad, but either they don’t see it or the website crops it out.

 

I know not every situation can be planned in advance. But I believe some people do it habitually with the last minute stuff

Yeah, but generally speaking it’s the client who has a bit more say in the timing of the situation. Both sides can flake, but more often than not..the escort has to try to magically fit such big things inside the clients tight frame of time (pun intended).

 

I’m disappointed that these occurrences have to sort of overshadow the good ones who actually do give reasonable notice and time. But more and more and more, every other time or 2 that I get a client, it seems it’s always a race for time to get to them because they don’t want to wait or wait to ask for stuff last minute.

 

And I can’t blame myself on these ones because in each case, I arrived to each location early in the day and stayed at least a full day. They want me to play bus stop, but get surprised when the bus takes OFF.

 

Pulling a bus stop is basically like when a person who needs to get somewhere soon, just walks out onto the curb to wait for a bus, without checking to see the times the bus is scheduled to arrive. Or standing 100 feet from the bus stop, waving and expecting it to stop for them anyway. Then gets mad and talks about how long the bus is taking, or takes too long.

The other thing that fucking pisses me off, when people call me...as we’re trying to set up a time, they holler about having stuff to do and can’t wait more than 30 minutes to meet. Well why the fuck did you call me then? That’s not my problem you have stuff to do.

 

People act like they’re calling a tire store or appliance store or something. Dehumanizing. Just no kind of respect or common sense about shit. I’m not a fucking store. Call me as if you’re calling any other sort of private professional or setting up a date with a busy corporate professional. Those plans would have been made well in advance.

 

And the other thing, everybody so scared and unwavering nowadays. You ask them any little question or ask them to do anything out of their comfort zone, they want to get all up the ass about shit. I had one guy in D.C. pay me $280 CANCELLATION FEE, because he decided to cancel simply because I wanted to know a little about what he was looking to get into...because he hadn’t told me that previously. Fortunantely we did reschedule the next day and had the most awesomest appointment I’ve had in a long time. But still...that caused me to temporarily go crazy for a couple of hours, and he almost landed a permanent place on my twitter flake list.

 

And now a week later, 3 mother fuckers pulled that shit today, all for different reasons which were just trivial. I ask a guy to meet me at the hotel in 30 minutes because I’m driving and on my way there, he cancels.

 

People have this unrealistic expectation that we’re just sitting somewhere doing nothing with ourselves but waiting for them. But then, when you actually do that, the mother fuckers don’t call.

Unfortunately this happens a lot, I am not sure if there is anyway to avoid it. It happened a lot on CL and hook up sites...guys want something quick and easy and if they have to wait they end up jackin off before the set time or finding someone else.

That's what I keep forgetting. They sprayed raid on Craigslist and backpage, but that didn't kill the roaches, they just crawled over to other sites. Ever since that's happened, business has increased overall, but it's gotten worse because all these f-ing bugs are bugging.

 

Just straight up all across the board in every city I've gone to lately, just stupid MoFoes getting on my nerves.

I'd advise others to follow that link, because the level of insanity is going to get worse if we don't hold MoFoes accountable for their bullshit. There's really no network out there right now to caution escorts about taking appointments with certain callers.

Makes sense. If You're traveling for work, things get tight...as was discussed a few weeks ago. And also, I understand not everyone can plan days or weeks in advance.

 

But I really got to thinking, maybe I didn't emphasized ENOUGH about how I prefer clients to book. So last night, I just went ahead and immediately put in my ad in bold and in plain sight: no last minute appointments, count back 2 hours from the desired time of arrival...and make sure it's atleast that amount of time or more. I usually find 4 to 8 hours is ample time to make concessions for same day appointments.

 

Hopefully that'll put an end to all the scrambling around like an egg when someone calls, and wants to meet now. I know some escorts (and even barbers) don't mind or even prefer last minute (aka walk-in) appointments, but people have to understand that everyone works differently. Even saying "available" on rentmen doesn't mean available NOW. It just means I'm available to schedule now. When you see an apartment that's "available now", that doesn't mean you can move in that same hour, right? Exactly. People assume available means NOW

I've never had luck with people that call me. If someone dials my number instead of texting me 90 % of the time they are just talkers wanting to waste my time. So it's got to point I will only try to book clients that text me first. If they want to talk on the phone first it's fine. But text me first. If they just call out of the blue I'm already knowing they just want free phone sex when I answer the phone. Also what helps me get thru all the missed appts by people that wait last minute is I just tell myself it's their loss for bad planning. I've had people that see my travel location as 100 miles away from me and ask me to be there in 30 minutes!! I'm like are u gonna send a helicopter to pick me up!? I try to have a good sense of humour about it. But I get your frustration. Some people treat these ads like it's Grindr...which it is NOT! LOL

A few times that an escort flaked on me I would find out a few hours before. I would be all revved up so I would try to replace. That didn't work out well unless I could adjust many hours later which is a problem due to my job. I always minimally book a week in advance. For guys coming from out of town when they post their I will try and book what is mutual.

One of the escorts posting in this thread cancelled on me less than an hour before we were to meet last year. I made the appointment a few days in advance and confirmed that morning. It was supposed to be 2 escorts and he first said that he had to cancel because the other guy flaked. I told him it was ok that we could just get together. Never heard back.

 

The point of my story: It works both ways and his lack of consideration screwed me over. I think it’s possible that the escorts that complain the most about this issue are guilty themselves.

Well I hope you add the escort’s speeding ticket and/or attorney fees to the rate you’re paying. They might hit a pedestrian or a car with a pregnant woman while trying to “get to you quickly as they can”. When someone asks me that, I politely refer back to my ad that insures I require a minimum 1 to 2 hour notice. No dick or ass is an emergency. It can wait. There’s been time’s I’ve been 1 mile away from a clients hotel. They still had to wait an hour. Why? Because I was in the middle of something. I’m not going to make a friend take an Uber back home, so I can go do a trick, if I drove them someplace. If he wanted to meet NOW, he should have called earlier and asked to meet at the future time.

 

But I wouldn’t be insulted. The way my ad now reads is “avoid missed connections”. It’s one thing when you have to make a quick maneuver and call someone last minute, it’s another thing when people are ignorant and don’t know any better. Or, they know better...but they prefer to last minute call an escort because out of fear/being flaked on, they rather contact whoever is available at the moment.

 

There’s been many appointments that I could have done, had clients contacted me like a mere 30 minutes before. By the time they called, I had to make a decision to do 1 thing or another. I’ve missed more appointments that way, than from traveling somewhere that’s been planned ahead of time. So for the clients who are afraid to plan ahead because of being flaked on, keep that in mind.

 

I’m finding 99% of the time when traveling, I’m simply not available right at the moment someone contacts me. Even when I was home, most times I didn’t like last minute stuff because I would get my mind ready for the gym, or a gardening project, or a date/hookup, and along comes John wanting to come over in 30 minutes.

Look, it's simple. You make a choice to forgo revenue when you decide to go to the gym or garden instead of taking a last-minute client, and that is fine -- it's your prerogative. I just don't understand why this becomes a source of complaints from escorts. You don't want last minute appointments? Fine. Just say "no thanks. " There are others who may very well welcome the opportunity to earn a little cash.

 

There are legitimate circumstances which could cause a potential client to have last minute needs. For example, I might be on a business trip and have a dinner get cancelled at the last minute. Suddenly I am in my hotel room with free time. The mind wanders.... However, in those circumstances I will make sure not to call YOU.

Also it’s not “making a choice” to forgo revenue. It’s already doing something other than vegetating by the line, being unproductive and waiting on someone to schedule. Which is often unpredictable. Now, I don’t mind leaving the gym early or not going at all if I do get a spur of moment appointment. But I can’t drop what I’m doing EVERYTIME that happens. So, what works for me is to simply SPELL IT OUT IN WRITING. Every business that does this type of work does the same. Even when you order catering, they say 24 hours notice.

 

Other times it’s not even a matter of doing other things, it’s not even being given enough time to make something happen. Ask yourself, if an escort hit you up out the blue, how soon would YOU be ready to stop what you’re doing, get in the car and go see them? Just because the transaction is different, doesn’t mean the dynamics are.

 

For an escort who lives downtown in the city, and doesn’t travel, maybe doesn’t have a car and uses Lyft/Uber...10 minutes notice probably works for them. They can see someone in 10 minutes, because everything is close by and it doesn’t take much to plan. But not everyone operates the same.
