God's Anger At ME

It turns out that God was pretty angry afer my sermon last week and stuck me down hard...rock hard! No, it wasn't a hurricane or drought, but a damn convincing case of pneumonia! The message? He was pissed that I was going after the wrong people! "Stick to the **** **** and the ************s of the world", he said. "Barry's a good guy with good intentions, leave him alone."

 

Some people are truly evil, I learned. Some of them even have blogs! Then, with the sound of great thunder it was revealed to me the name of the most evil blogger. At least I think I got the whole name what with the damn ringing in my ears.

 

And then quetly, the Lord sighed and returned me to the land of the healthy.

There is a bug(viral)going around which manifest itself pretty rapidly as pnemounia.

Thanks for the good wishes, guys. Today is the first semi-active day I have had. I appreciate the posts and phone calls. This bug is making its way to New York from what I hear as a friend flew there to help his friend (a doctor, no less) who is quite sick with it. Makes you wonder what a bird flu could do!

 

But it's nice to have friends looking out for you...so many good friendships have formed here in Hooville.

 

Of course, I hope you all realize that I was kidding about God speaking to me...that only happens to Pat Robertson and people in high fever... Every once in a while though it is good to get humbled, even if it hurts. Getting sick will do the job.

 

One more thing...don't click on my avatar. It has an anti-theft device that could make you very sick.

Speedy recovery Lucky!

Last May 2004 I got strep throat and tonsilitis infection and was sick for 3 weeks. It took the fourth kind of antibiotic to finally cure me. I was sicker then I had ever been. The only silver lining was that I lost over 20 pounds (which I have all gained back).

Glad to hear you are at least "semi- active". From what I have heard that state would make most of us exhausted. Sorry not to have seen you this past weekend. Hopefully we can meet before the 18th - I do owe you money!
