Do you know what he meant when he mentioned that Instagram produces a more "vanilla" crowd? I would think that if they were looking to hire they would be many different types.

If you know the guy is an escort there's not much problem. If it's a guy who has friends that escort you mention their name. You can stick with "see" or "meet" and they're likely to turn to escort talk. Just last night I friended a cute friend of an escort friend in Prague and he's been messaging me all day and he turned to "business" and "escorting".

 

I sort of created a monster with this on the other site. In Prague things are different and all you need is a couple good pornstars or escorts friends' Facebook or Insta and all of a sudden you're into their friends list. I did this because my best guys there are not on RM and Romeo is troublesome and you usually are going through their agent who speaks English. So many clients have now friended these guys and their friends that a number of totally fake FB and Insta profiles have cropped up to appeal to gay clients for some reason (birthdays?). I can spot the fakes easily.

 

You also get into the Czech bodybuilders who as exhibitionists are all on FB and interconnected. Half my friends' timeline on FB now is in Czech which I don't speak and half of those are bodybuilders or MMA fighters, only a couple of whom I've ever dated and most of whom are at least one friend removed from escort friends. Not sure how I'll deal with them. I'll announce on FB when I'm in Prague and mention if any friends want to meet.

 

And my favorite guys I will only contact through Messenger or Insta because I know they will get the message. Even WhatsApp/text numbers can change at the agents' whim. And it is nice seeing where they are traveling, their home, family (sometimes gf's, wives and kids !). A great way to exchange photos of home and travels etc. For maybe 4 or 5 friends WhatsApp is the better way to talk, for the rest FB or Insta.

Yes it sounds like it works better in some countries than others. I guess, as you say, it makes sense to network starting with the known escorts.

It’s well known that a lot of instagram models use insta as a very discreet way to escort. It happens all over the world.

 

Instagram is totally unfriendly to escorts, professional doms, and anyone of the sort however. So escorting on instagram happens really discreetly. Known escorts/providers who keep instagram accounts often see them deleted out of nowhere suddenly. Just for being a known escort from elsewhere online. Advertising escort services openly on Insta is definitely not possible.

 

The models who escort off instagram run their pages like normal models, but they will reply when you ask how you can meet them in real life. The smart ones will give you another form of contact to discuss it off instagram since it can get them banned easily to discuss it thru the platform.

 

But yeah if you google I’m pretty sure there are articles talking about how (perhaps female) instagram models are escorting secretly thru the platform.

I’ve never connected with an escort on IG, but I follow several — some I’ve interacted with, and some I hope to see. But if you’re interested in knowing more about an escort, IG is a two-edged sword. Some escort IGs leave me wanting to see the man in question again, but in other cases a peek into their IG life amounts to w-a-a-a-a-a-y TMI, and/or a real buzz-kill, and I have to strike the guy off my list. Definitely a “Black Mirror” problem.

Most who are openly escorts on IG have a private page just to notify their clients of tour dates, etc.

otherwise, most instagram models are escorts or have their price lol. Just use the email in their bio section or send a DM.

I have had several approaches in IG, as I am looking not only for escorts but also for amateur models. However so far everyone who reached out to me or who I reached to, is somewhere far away from dc.

I have not yet approached a guy on IG. But I find it a great source to verify the authenticity of a new hire.

 

My most recent hire had exactly the same name on Rentmen and on Instagram. His phone number led to his profile on Facebook and on LinkedIn. Clearly, he was not worried about a seamless transition from his escort profile to his real identity and his professional life - he is a successful graphic designer. I am glad that young gay men think it is cool to be an escort and don't feel the need to hide it. I call that progress.
