Every massage I've ever had, whether erotic or therapeutic, at a private home or in an office, involved hands on the bottom. That is, until today.

I less than a week ago got my ass waxed, so it was solid, smooth and fine. I wasn't expecting a HE since I was paying for a "soothing, gentle" experience, but for that area in 60 minutes time to be ignored was crazy.

I'm not going to expose "gluteus none-of-this" to the masses, but just want to know if I'm out of line. I was hoping for it to be a grand finale from the build-up, but simply got a repeat of neck and chest, which is where the massage started.

Bummer ...so I would be a little disappointed however I would have asked for a little glute action before it wrapped. Maybe that's an upgrade, maybe it's off the menu but I would say it is unusual even for therapeutic.

The Gluteus Maximus is the largest muscle of the human body. How? I would be disappointed too!! May I assume (!) that your bottom isn’t red, tender or anything else that may have warned him off? You mentioned a recent waxing...

Angry? No.

Dissatisfied? Yes.

As a general rule, I dont seek out the type of massage services discussed in this forum. But every massage Ive had... in hotel spas, physical therapy, etc... involved gluteus massage. As a prior poster notes... itsa a muscular area.

Id have complained to the therapist, and the shop/spa/whatever if relevant. Certainly no gratuity.

You get a massage, presumably, to relax and/or feel better. Its not worth getting angry.

Yes....as everyone noted massaging your butt is always part of a massage. I always speak up during a massage session if something is not meeting my needs. I like deep massage. If the massage is to light, I ask the masseur during the session to apply deeper pressure. If the room is to cold, I will ask during the session if he can put turn the heat up. You are paying, and have a right during the session to ask for things that are not meeting your needs. As in " the massage is great, but I always have my glutes massaged since they are tight. Can you work on that area?" You need to speak up during the session if you are not getting what you want, instead of not saying anything and leaving angry.

I once had a massage at the Bellagio in Vegas. Beautiful spa.

The masseur asked if I had any problem areas he should focus

on. I was having serious issues with my pyriformus muscle (for

those that don’t know that’s deep in your ass under your glute

and it can wreak havoc). Although I didn’t know at the time what

it was...I knew my ass hurt deep under my glute.

I informed the masseur where it hurt.....he then proceeded to

give me a terrible 9o min massage that never got below my belly

button or above my knees. If I wasn’t in such pain and paying

a fortune, it would have been almost comical.

Obviously, zero tip but I should have complained to the manager.

If your going to be a masseur, you better be comfortable massaging

one of the largest muscles in the human body on any client.

I make it a point to tell the masseur that I work my legs and glutes a lot at the gym, so I’d like him to spend some time on them, just in case it’s not part of their usual routine. A couple of masseurs have told me that some clients say they don’t want their butt touched; then at the type of salon where one must be draped, the massage doesn’t include glutes.

I can't speak for the specifics, but in many states, LMT's are not permitted to touch the glutes directly, and are limited on massaging through draping. One of the reasons I prefer going through an escort or masseurfinder type of site, is that I'm sure that won't be a problem.

Almost all masseurs will massage the TFL and the hamstrings. The potential problem comes as you approach the origin/insertion point for the hamstrings and the glutes. If you aren't sure someone is okay with it, then it may be avoided. Especially with less experienced therapists.
