I don't consider it a red flag. The vast majority of guys who hire most likely don't know about this site or the review site.

The number of reviewers for any given escort is very low. I know a few escorts who are very busy and very good, but have limited reviews. A lot of clients don't know there is a place to review, or do and don't think of it. It takes time and effort to compose and post a review. Granted not much for the posting, but it does take time. And there isn't a, er, "happy ending" after you post a review. At least not as directly as the actual escort visit. In a culture where people hit a simple "Like" button all day, having to compose actual text can be a high mountain to climb.

 

I think the heart of the matter is that reviews are good for the escort's business, but not the client's business. The client doesn't have that much skin in the game, at least in how they see it. If hot escort A stops taking clients he will just move to hot escort B. At least in those places where there are many.

 

I think it's much more valuable for an escort in less served areas to keep their good escorts in business, so there is a future appointment.

 

Meeting an escort after I have reviewed him has been.... rewarding I would recommend doing so as something that has more value to your escort than a tip or gift.

 

I don't want to start a debate as to whether escorts should ask for reviews, but in my head, if you have a good relationship with a regular, that's a great time to ask. A regular would be more invested in your desire to continue in business. And I think reviews from regulars have more weight. Just as anyone can have a bad night, a single-session guy could have just caught a bad escort on a good night.

I have never had a problem with them getting so busy that we couldn't get together. They have always been flattered and/or appreciative of the fact that I took the time and care about their welfare -- especially the new guys that are trying to build a client base.

I'll reply to several who have stated the same philosophy that I have about posting reviews here. The escort that has provided me with a great time and made me feel sexy and happy has earned my ability to help him out. I have never experienced an escort that I see on a regular basis who I have given a positive review not provide me to time. Just the opposite. There have been times where I've actually reviewed an escort multiple times here because they have relocated and it would help their business.

Once for me. He had no idea this site even existed and was horrified at the thought of being reviewed. He didn't care that it might improve his business. He felt it was a violation of his privacy. Coincidentally, or not, he didn't stay in the business for very long.

when I once posted a favorable review for a good guy, he immediately contacted me and asked for it to be taken down.....he didn't want it out there that he was escorting and, in fact, he didn't advertise except through an agency (with no face pictures).....

 

I agree with MikeyGMin that many guys consider it an invasion of privacy and do not want reviews......others have never even heard of a website where people review escorts and think it unusual......still others ask politely to have a review written and ask me to tell them when it appears!......

 

keep in mind the debate over RM reviews and their credibility or lack of.....some are legit, a few not.....but many more clients know about RM than Daddy's and even fewer know about this forum.....

I always ask before I write a review. Most guys are glad to have me write one, but a couple have asked that I not do so.

I'd consider an older quote on Daddys applicable. A major lapse, like 5 years, I might wonder about reasons.

 

The RM reviews I disregard entirely. I've seen RM guys using fake pics.....yet several RM reviews say they match their photos.

 

As others have alluded-- some guys here don't write reviews and some escorts have a client base, thus NO REVIEWS. I have stop trying to find reviews and have just gone with what the escort has in his ad at www.rentmen.com and his contact information that we've exchanged via emails or telephone calls.

 

In October I met a gorgeous Latino escort (Flexx) in San Francisco who did NOT have any reviews here. We enjoyed each other's company, and I wrote a tepid review, for I do not know the current policy after the www.rentboy.com event of two years ago. Later in the month, I saw him again and had one hell of a time. Afterwards, I saw him again. My second review of our time together appeared about three weeks ago, and at that time I noticed that one or two other persons had written a review for "my man, Felix."
