Today Cooper, Lucky and I saw "Jersey Boys" and liked it a lot. If you like the music of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons (and how could you not) you'll have a great time. There were 34 songs in the show so you get a lot for your money. The show is in preview and opens Nov. 6th and I think it will be a big hit. Hopefully the critics will agree. John Lloyd Young as Frankie Valli is really amazing. Three thumbs up!

Yes, the show was terrific fun and very popular while in development at The La Jolla Playhause last fall.

Broadway Shows based on the music of some very popular singing groups seems to be the current trend on B'way.

 

Mamma Mia is still going strong.

 

Movin Out is closing after a very successful run

 

All Shook Up and Good Vibrations are more recent. The Beach Boys show wasn't as successful

 

Twyla Tharp is working on a new musical based on the work of Bob Dylan.

 

I haven't seen "Lennon". Anyone have a review to share?
