Per annual tradition:

Revenue increased 5% over 2016.

The attached chart shows how the big fish really swing the annual totals, with base revenue of all other clients being comparatively stable.

One posting that I think (errrrr pretty sure) you made during this past year stated that you earned 80% of your income from 4 or 5 regular clients.....not sure here how to inject that fact into your annual charts......anyway, your success shows that it's not always necessary to ever incur any costs updating one's photos.....congrats.

The power of cultivating good reliable regulars.....children learn!

While you & I both might see some benefit for working guys to have "good reliable regulars".....with all due respect, that might not be the game plan / strategy for all escorts.....& by no means does that mean all guys not interested in having regulars are scams or looking to rip clients off.....a working guy might have certain talents that he's interested in "sharing" with as many others as possible.....& he might also know that that talent can keep him as busy as much or as little as he wants.....or having (& keeping) regulars might involve some effort or sacrifice or commitment or even some kinds of drama that the escort ain't interested in being involved with.....a big world out there - lots of different approaches & strategies that working guys can take in their chosen profession and/or side gig.....over the years, I've never been turned down by a guy who started as a hookup that I've wanted to develop into a repeat hire.....but any working guy might have his own valid reasons at anytime for not wanting to pursue those kinds of biz relationships......soooooooo, can't agree in telling all children to learn.....it ain't a "one size fits all" world.

I think he was refering to the particulars of this one provider since it is the only data provided. I feel the learn part means that regular clients can increase overall income. Therefore, if you learn to maintain a high amount of regulars your income may become greater. I do not think he implies that is the only way just that you can learn from this particular model if you so choose.

Nothing you could ever say about escorts or escorting in general applies to ALL providers. I have certainly never met one who prefers to "share with as many others as possible" -- with all the unknown risks of flakes and freaks -- over a good group of regulars.

There's no such thing as absolutes but there are certainly sound rules of thumb.

Do you think the economy has any connection to the down years?

I've tried to correlate my data to GDP, the Dow, the Nikkei, precipitation, welfare payments, soybean futures, spot gold, school board elections... all with little success. One data point (the earning of one escort) is too small a sample set to glean useful information, and industry-wide data doesn't exist, beyond "uh... I had a hot two-hour client yesterday."

I will not presume to defend the OP's preferences or business model, but most providers I know prefer the 3 devils they do know over the 150 devils they don't know.

All that I was saying, whether it's right or wrong, it works for them - some guys prefer the John Rechy "City of Night" approach to their escorting.....all else being equal & as long as any health safety concerns are under control & addressed, I enjoy having some of these studs in my own mix of hires.....it can be edgy, exciting & satisfying in its own way.

(& latbear - no real problem here w/Slater - he's witty, humorous & seemingly savvy/intelligent.....physically not my attraction as a hire but fine hearing that others enjoy him.....I ain't the ideal client for everybody either.....but that's a whole 'nother story & wholly their loss :D).

Are the top 3 clients in 2015, 2016 and 2017 all the same people? Or is there some rotation in top 3 clients every year?

What I also find interesting is that there would be a serious drop in revenue if this escort decided to just see his top 3 clients exclusively. The 'all other' are your bread and butter, the 'top 3' the icing on the cake, or so it seems. This would support the argument that even an established escort should never be exclusive to his top clients only.

I prefer to have regular clients as you know what to expect. Plus and you can add variety to the dynamic that you have. Making the experiences different or encouraging for repeat encounters.

Example..as a transguy I have a female client who for I am her "plus 1" for weddings, business events, and formal stuff. Other than that I don't really see her much. For one of the guys I go to party and sports events who I see more often throughout the year (and he said the first night this was a one off experience).

However I wouldn't turn down someone who is random because you never know if that could be a regular in the making.

Kevin-Not sure if you want to answer this question but I will ask anyway. Where did you live before moving to NYC? Did you move to NYC to increase sales or just because you wanted to move there?

I started out hooking in SF. The move to NYC was mostly business driven.

Kevin: What happened to Mr. Orange, Mr. Purple, Mr. Yellow and Mr. Grey? Are they still clients...or did they move on?

Mostly others have just pushed them out of the top three.

Wondering if it the better statistic would be to look at top 5 or 10, rather than 3.

Yeah, but then we'd be asking what happened to Mr. Chartreuse, Mr. Cyan, Mr. Magenta, Mr. Huckleberry Red...
