Dan Savage had a riff at the start of this week's podcast on how refreshing the 'so what' reaction to this news was. He speculated that if it had been at a US university he would have been fired. Isn't it nice not to have an instant moral panic?

I actually used to chat with Ruggero on gay.it (who remembers those chats?...) in the late 90s and he sounded already like a very nice bright guy.

I always wanted to hire him, and instead I hired his partner Adam Champ (Gustavo..) and I was a bit disappointed.

 

Anyway, if you can understand Italian you can really see how smart he is in the recent interview from La Repubblica (the biggest Italian newspaper):

Carlo Masi first appeared in an Advocate Men layout in 1998 about six years before his first porn shoot for Colt (appearing with the late, great Karim). I'm having a hard time finding pics online. The spread was listed under his real first name, Ruggero. He was so young and beautiful at the time; muscular, but not nearly as bulky as he appeared later as a porn star.

Well, now that you mention it, yes, but I must admit, when looking at those two pictures in particular, my eyes were focused lower and much more on his chest, arms and crotch after appreciating his smile! ;)
