In what might be one of the most insensitive choices ever, Fox and Friends decided to have a showing of children in Halloween costumes. Though I did not see this myself as I am not a Fox watcher, reportedly, the producers decided to have a black child dressed as a watermelon slice. Since I did not see this myself, I am hoping this is some sort of prank. It sounds like something the Onion would report. Did anyone see it?

He didn't look black to me, but can't we just say he was black and blame fox anyway. It's more fun that way. :D

I agree, but could have been "mixed" at the very least.... Not worthy of the hoopla. (this time) ...

Ah you must be one of those people who do not see color.

I didn’t see it either. Maybe this American “one-drop rule” only makes sense to you guys.

You have purposefully mis-judged me. Being a man of color, I see it and understand it more so than you. When he took his hat off, his hair was straight and his features looked Hispanic to me, certainly not black. If the child was Black, then yes it was insensitive, as was your comment, but failing that, I'm going with another ethnicity.

There are dozens of articles on the Internet about this, I only briefly read one, so perhaps I will be proven wrong.

No reason to get upset about this and I'm normally one of the chorus railing against Fox news.

This gives me an opportunity to post this Halloween costume bit from The Onion several years ago.

guys... we need to pick our fights...

Tamir Rice's murder by too cops who lied about talking to him and simply shut him as soon as they got out of the car is worth fighting...

Whining about a costume = bad idea.

At summer camp I was the only boy who refused watermelon. I don't like having to work at my food. In this case picking out the seeds.

:confused:You are weird, you know that, right?:confused:

Just because your post has one word in common with the title of the thread doesn't make it relevant.

I can't tell if you think your post is relevant which is weird or if you have the weirdest sense of humor.

But after you called the Czechs a race, anything is possible.

Either way, I concur with myself: you are a weird fellow.

I've been told so before.

Omg Wow y'all need to stop this outrage and virtue signaling over nothing. You sound more racist that you believe it is insensitive and racist for a child with tan (darker than white) skin to dress as a watermelon. I'm surprised you didn't take it a step further about the little black girl in the sheep costume.

If you need to be outraged about something then be outraged about things that actually matter like disparities in education, wealth, sentencing for crimes, and etc...

Perhaps they should have dressed him as Buckwheat instead, or Uncle Tom or perhaps Aunt Jemima. Are any of those offensive enough?

So you are fine with a native American child being dressed as Tonto? Or a Chinese child being dressed as a driver in a car accident? An Arab child dressed as the twin towers? Perhaps a German child dressed as Hitler. Or perhaps the little Southern girl dressed as a KKK member. Oh and all this on a TV show which has a reputation for insensitivity. By the way, you can be outraged by the costuming and about inequality, that is the nice thing about America, you can be outraged by any fucking thing you want and if you watch Fox and Friends, there is a good chance they have already triggered some mindless nonsense about it.

This is just mental masturbation.

I'm gonna go do the real thing now, folks.

Then I'll cum back all refreshed, just like after eating a slice of watermelon on a hot day.

This is funny.

Speaking of Czechs, the second Darren on Bewitched was of Czech descent.

It's true.

(It also has not gone without notice that his whereabouts on November 22, 1963, are unaccounted for.)
