Oops. Yeah, no - not straight.

That is a valid concern....

To be perfectly honest, I don't care about a guy's orientation. As long as we both have fun it doesn't matter to me. However, there are folks for whom a guy identifying or advertising as straight is a non-starter. My only "concern," if you will, is that the guy be forthright.

@GraysonDanielz there is a way to quote multiple people in this forum if you want to reply to 4 people with the same very long message, you can

A) select their text and then press the "+Quote" button, then move on to the next person, do the same, move on again, select some text, press the "+Quote" button etc.

B) Once you have collected everyone's text in this way, you start your message by pressing the "Insert quotes..." button at the bottom left of the thread page.

C) Doing B opens a new window and allows to select certain bits of text or all of the text you have previously marked in A. Then press "Quote these messages"

It will add all the quotes in one single post, which you can edit. This way you can reply to everyone with the same post. You can even insert text between the quotes.

Example:

I enjoy intellectual debate on the subject if you're capable of doing that without getting upset.

Nice

I hope that doesn’t sound patronizing

I also hope this post doesn't.

Welcome to posting in the forum!

We have a politics and religion section were you'll love to talk about your political points of views.

That statement bothered you...

Don't you ever tire of being a hall monitor?

This became an attack thread by Post #13. Some truly mean and ignorant statements were made by people who have never even met the guy. (Only one person actually met him and said he would not repeat.) The rest was all pearl clutching ladies who thought they would get the vapors if they met with someone with such atypical opinions.

Mister Manager, can you please stop projecting?

I know his politics shouldnt matter to most, but since he is a rabid Trump supporter I just couldnt............I know its a business transaction, but I have to feel some form of empathy

This is nasty personal attack by your standard?

C'mon you've done better!

Regarding my Political Views and My Business Advertisement.

Political views should not be injected into business advertisements.

However, the topic always comes up when I meet clients, so I felt the need to clarify up front that I tend to be more on the conservative side.

The topic always comes up when I'm meeting people because it such a hot topic these days.

So instead of being two-faced or having to face a confrontation in person, I️ thought it would be more appropriate to mention it in the ad. Unfortunately, I see that backfired.

I would also like to point out that because I am a Christian,I tend to be considered more conservative in LGBT Circles.

However, in my Christian circles, I tend to be labeled a liberal for obvious reasons.

I would label myself as a Liberal Christian and a Political Moderate. I also have many Post Modernist, New Evangelical and New Age Spiritual Views. As many of you know I study the book "A Course In Miracles".

As a Christian, I cannot condone All of The President’s behavior.

However, as a fiscal conservative, I saw no other alternative than to vote for him.

I personally support Most of the President's agenda. (key word: MOST).

However, When it comes to mistreating people of other races and religions, I strongly protest his Agenda.

I am extremely open minded to people of all different races and religions.

As for my vote, I consider myself to be a pragmatist, so I believe in coming up with the most practical solution that is a balance between the most realistic and the most idealistic concerns of the time.

I also would not consider myself to be a Republican or a Democrat.

I believe in balance of power between the parties.

I did vote for Obama during the Previous Presidential election.

I admire President Obama's behavior more than any President I have seen in History, but I did not support everything his agenda stood for.

To make a long story short, I believe that The most pressing concerns of this next four years are unemployment, and the United States economy.

I studied Economics in College, and I keep up with the Economic News regularly.

This is why I chose to vote for the party that favored American nationalism at this point in time.

Having said that, I do believe that we need to embrace international globalization and more liberal policies too.

After eight years of liberal policy, I believe the pendulum needed to swing more right.

Like I said, I'm not a Republican or a Democrat.

So in four years, I may choose to vote for a more liberal president.

I have always considered myself to be a bisexual man.

I may choose to marry a male sometime in the future, so of course I backed gay marriage.

I also would like to point out that there were some influential Gay Republicans who helped push through Gay Marriage Legislation, and I think we owe them some gratitude.

Having said that, At this point in US History, I don't think we need more gay rights.

I am more concerned with Unemployment and GDP.

Like I said before, I believe the most pressing concerns are the United States are the economy and jobs.

That is simply my opinion, but my opinions should be kept out of Business Advertisements.

So in the future, I will leave my political views out of my ad.

I would also ask that if you do meet me, and you do not agree with my political views, that you don't bring up the subject unless you enjoy intellectual debate (which I do).

I enjoy intellectual debate on the subject if you're capable of doing that without getting upset.

I might also add that some of my closest clients (that I keep in touch with regularly) are on the liberal side.

We often argue.. but in a peaceful manner

I️ hope this clears up some of the confusion.

Hey you sent me a similar PM with this.

Would you like to join the politics and religion forum?

Here's your new best friend @BOZO T CLOWN

If I may interject here...

Discussion about religious and political views put barriers in the way of an intimate and rewarding interaction.

That is simply my opinion, but my opinions should be kept out of Business Advertisements.

So in the future, I will leave my political views out of my ad.

You are certainly entitled to your views, religion, and opinions.

There is a far difference between having opinions and broadcasting them, either in your ad or here in your public statements.

I don't hire escorts because I want to engage in a debate over their views or to find places where we have differences. These become barriers between people, instead of ways of connecting. I picture an escort as someone who should try to find common ground in order to allow the client to open up and feel comfortable.

I want to feel special and comfortable enough to be open and vulnerable. I want to let my guard down for a time. I don't see where projecting these political, religious and social views provides that safe space emotionally for me as a client. And, I don't see where these public views really support your business.

I would prefer that the time hired is focused on me. Yes, as a client I want to be selfish in that way. If I have to spend my time avoiding topics, refusing to open up because I fear the escorts reaction, or judgment from an escort's firmly projected and fixed opinions, then I can't see the value in that interaction.

PS: The nine texts in response to an initial greeting/request, all basically saying "I want money up front" was just another barrier. It was extremely off-putting.

you have a legit Question and I respect that

I respect someone like Grayson who stands up for his conservative values and doesn't run away from them.

Given that, I sent him a text message last month looking to set up a meeting. I got an automated response back. Thought it was very impersonal. I decided to pass.

Too bad. He's exactly my type. Bozo sighs.

@hornytwells the C'mon you've done better wasn't directed at you, it was directed at @MikeyGMin who said your post number 13 was the beginning of a nasty personal attack.

My apologies to @hornytwells for not being clear, my mistake!

Thanks for clearing that up, nasty personal attacks are not my style!

Also I think Grayson Danielz is hot and attractive-my point was that if escorts start making politics part of their profile it will affect their client base to a greater or lesser degree. My dislike of Trump supporters has less to do with Republican/Democrat than it has to do with my intense dislike of him personally. Therefore if an escort were pushing his support of him it would rather take away the enjoyment of my session to put it mildly, Am interested to see with Grayson's response that it may not be the case after all

Hi Grayson. I'm the one who started this thread. Your political views wouldn't play a role in me wanting to meet with you. I did contact you, but decided not to meet because of the deposit. You're free to structure your ways however way you want. I've been wanting to meet you since about a year ago, but we couldn't get to a mutually agreeable arrangement, sadly.

I'm interested in politics, and that might have been something that we would have talked about. However, I was more excited about your interest in sci-fi :D (I remember you had that in your profile).

I appologize for the impersonal nature of the automated responses, but I send them for two major reasons.

1. limited time: I may not be able to respond personally due to the fact that I am a one man operations and do not have a way to answer the phone when I am busy working or at the gym. So the first reason is like an answering machine. It collects your information so I can call you back when I am able to.

2. Screaning: first automated response is designed to give me a quick reference to the type of call I am getting. I have tried to shorten this since the first time I used it. I actually have made 10 revisions and each revision gets smaller. This also screens out people who are drunk or not serious.

The problem with this business is that there is no winning either way.

Each Escort is a one man/mom and pop shop, chief, cook and bottle washer.

I think people forget that we are not dealing with a large corporate and professional organization for obvious reasons.

This is all a one man show for each Escort, and that makes it virtually impossible to run it like a professional business.

Ie. I could pay Ring Central to answer my calls, but then That could get us both into trouble.

Also, in defense of the client, they can’t call Amex and dispute charges made for Escort Services. And conversely, the escort can’t really hold a security deposit on that Amex Card.

@GraysonDanielz: I wish this thread had developed more earlier this month. In its earlier iteration, your political views were raised and I saw the prior version of your ad and thought that we wouldn't click because of that, despite the fact that I was otherwise very attracted to you. So, I didn't reach out when I was in Southern California during the first week of November. I've since read several more of your much more recent posts in the latter pages of this thread, which provide much more context and nuance for your political opinions. Now I think that our political differences wouldn't have prevented us from having a good time, and we perhaps could have had very interesting, if not lively, pillow talk. I'll definitely look you up the next time I'm visiting LA or Orange County.

You've got to work with what works best for you. Period. You are in a 100 percent commish environment, and time is money

I empathize with you. I sell real estate. I will give a lot more slack to a client who is a repeat or referred to me by a trusted client. A Joe blow who calls to look at one of my listings out of the blue, I give a lot less slack to. The 15 minute rule goes into effect. If they don't show, I'm a goner

I'll get flamed for this, but the discourse on republican can vs democrat, trump vs the lying bitch Hillary is ridiculous

We all put our pants on the same way. I've got lib friends and hard right friends. I'm not gonna talk to someone, or be with someone because we have different political views.

Get over yourselves. We are entitled to our opinions, and thank god we have a military and a constitution that guarantees we are allowed those opinions.

I play bridge in my spare time. One of the things it has taught me is that everything has a plus and a minus. Each shortcut, has a drawback. Each advantage leaves a weakness somewhere else. That's true of business and this industry.

There are styles of responses and messaging that focuses on your clients needs, while still accomplishing your goals. Your automating the process and trying to find a one-size-fits-all, is costing you opportunities. You're screening out both the good and the bad.

Your methods are probably losing you business. Based on what I am hearing, your approach lost three or four different clients on your trip through South Florida, myself included. I ended up engaging someone else's services for an extended evening.

I think people forget that we are not dealing with a large corporate and professional organization for obvious reasons.

This is all a one man show for each Escort, and that makes it virtually impossible to run it like a professional business.

I would, respectfully, disagree. Clients aren't thinking they are talking to large corporations. Clients, for the most part, understand that they are dealing with individuals. There are plenty of flakes that think you are a walking porn site for them to get off to. But you shouldn't lump the good/potential clients in with the flakes.

And none of that means you can't run your business in a professional manner. There are MANY luxury entrepreneurs who are one man/woman shops.

I can respect a conservative (even though I am not one) and hold many in high esteem. I cannot respect a Trump supporter. They are not the same thing.

That was exactly my point, I agree. One is a difference of politics which i think can be respected and discussed intelligently. the other I don't even want to get into.....

Thank you all for your feedback.

This was a helpful discussion.

I am attempting to come up with a middle ground, because my concerns are valid.

I receive on average 10 inquiries per day.

Nine out of of those 10 inquiries are not serious.

I typically get one prank call every time I enter a new city.

The reason for my creating a security deposit policy was to avoid prank calls and last minute cancellations.

I wasted $50 on gas and tolls one night in New York City on a prank call.

I usually insist on a security deposit if the call seems sketchy OR if I am in a large city.

Orlando was all prank calls for me so I don’t even bother with Orlando anymore.

I usually do not require a security deposit if the client is requesting me within 90 minutes.

I always require a security deposit if the client calls and says I want to hiring you tonight. This is typically because I am a plan B for a flaky date. This type of client usually cancells last minute.

If you ask to call me on the phone and we speak about it, then I am more inclinded to drop the security deposit demand.

I also do not think I am asking too much be sending out my automated response.

“Thank you for responding to My Ad:

I am compensated for my time, and I accept donations only.

Please tell me the name you wish to be called, The City you are in and confirm that you are at least 18 years of age.”

I appreciate any feedback you might have on this.

Thank you all.

I have no personal awareness of Grayson but he clearly 1) understands the feelings of many potential clients about his views, 2) has refined his business model, including automated responses and deposits, to meet his needs, and, 3) has been unfailingly polite and respectful of the feedback given here.

We are not a match but so be it.

We’ve had many discussions about the way a gentleman might run his business model, from Brodie Sinclair, JustinTeen, to forum favorites like Tristan B.

Fact remains they are free to run whatever kind of paradigm they want to advertise and market business. If it’s working for them, they will continue to be successful. If is doesn’t work....they will adjust or leave the biz.

The first time I met Grayson was a matter of 2-3 texts, no deposit, met in a hotel lobby for a beer and chat and moved on. I repeated with him, including meetings in my personal residence/home.

Repeated discussion here is only so helpful to a point....too much hassle? Move on to the next one.
