That would be the vocabulary police. Grammar police would have pointed out that you should either have omitted the period between the words "fight" and "but" and the comma after the word "but" or used the word "However" instead of "But" in the following:

:p

How about the "pedant patrol" - a more comprehensive descriptor. And I know I should be using italics rather than quotes, but I'm too lazy.:)

This makes me sad :-( Maybe four or five years ago I was walking through the infamous New Orleans French Quarter for Mardi Gras. Matthew was standing outside the popular gay club called OZ. I made eye contact with him but wasn't sure if he was looking at someone behind me when I decided to nervously wave. To my surprise he waved back & gave me the most beautiful smile. I was just way too shy to approach & talk to him. He looked like himself then. This is so sad:(

It's a sad fact that drugs, alcohol and gambling, have ruined many people, physical mentally, and financially. Some to the point, that they are no longer with us! As a person that has gone through addiction, I feel for anyone that has either gone through that fight or is facing it today. There are no easy answers. And no one can make another person change, that change has to come from within.

The other man in this ph0to, Roman Heart also suffered a similar fate due to meth:

Just so sad.

I don't think he's gone off the deep end with meth after reading the article and some of the comments. It says more about steroid abuse then anything. You go off the juice and you just shrink. I can see how people might think it's due to Meth though. I love the "where is he now" thing they've got. I'll have to check that out.

Fortunately for me it was just financial ruin, the easiest and most transitory ruin from which to recover in my opinion. But I do know others that suffered all three from either meth or coke.

I'm sorry to hear about your addiction, thank you for being so honest on here.

Let's don't forget that in Matthew's case steroids are also part of his problems.

How do you suggest steroids as being a part of his problem?

I don't know... have you seen a picture of him?

Do you think a person can put on that much muscle by eating turkey or in your case tofu?

Yesterday I had to explain the relationship between obesity and poverty because of poor people are more likely to have less food choice and eat junk food. I never thought today I had to explain someone who looks like him obviously has taken steroids in his life, and as we all know in most cases steroids have some consequences.

I'm just wondering how you think the steroids contributed to his current episode. What are the consequences "as we all know" and how does that relate to his meth addiction?

No one's going to say he doesn't use steroids. It's obvious. However, I've seen much worse on this site and all the muscle lover queens salivating over what I consider grotesque. It's body dysmorphia. Sometimes I'll make the comment I hope that he's monitoring his heart well and I'll get slapped down for it.

No doubt, his body did look nice. When you comes to steroid use they'll deny it, deny it, and deny it...

Sometimes they don't even tell their own doctors that they're taking steroids.

Given his present situation, and, of course, in my opinion, he should have "stuck" with clown school at Sarasota. "Stardom" as a porn actor doesn't seem to have done the tirck for him with regard to fama ena and fortune.

I understand your opinion, but "easy money" is only a bad thing if the escort/pornstar thinks it will last forever and doesn't save for his retirement.

Escorts and pornstars who don’t save for retirement are in good company with a huge number of Americans. Mine got wiped out at 55 years old not fun trying again

No doubt but they have the advantage of getting paid in cash most of the time and not paying taxes.
