Hell yes. I would hire him if I find him attractive and I think he can provide a satisfying service..

I dated guys who were positive, but obviously in the 90's not using a condom would have been suicidal. You wouldn't even ask about it.

It does bother me a lot the stigmatization Poz friends have to suffer. We are in the 21st century and still have to put up with medieval thinking. Disgusting.

it bothers me too, even if we use condoms Hiv is just an accident away.

I don't think I have to spell it out to them that I'm also looking for a DDF escort.

I'm not saying this to put you personally on the spot or call you out, you are presenting a mainstream point of view, so we can agree to disagree, but usually when someone says this, what I hear is "I don't want to have this challenging conversation when I'm hooking up with stranger, so this is a story I tell myself so I can feel better about going through with it."

Since this strategy doesn't involve asking anyone outright, no boundaries are crossed, but it seems to me to be a gap between words and deeds, a rationalization. :) I'm not saying this to put people down, who am I to judge? But maybe they would benefit from examining themselves more closely?

I'm reminded of a quote from one of my favorite movies, that translates as “The awful thing about life is this: everyone has their reasons.” We are all trying to get by.

"I know for sure there are people who will not ask but still opt for unprotected sex without thinking twice."

You are correct. This is usually frowned upon in our community, but I am most definitely one of those people. I like real skin-to-skin contact.. being topped raw is sexy and thrilling to me. The condom almost makes it feel like "fake sex." And I've been lucky.... I do get tested once a year (because that's about how often I have sex), and I've been negative for every thing, every time (except for crabs ONCE, and that was the worst STD ordeal I've ever endured, those nasty little bastards). However, should I test positive for HIV, I don't think it would be the end of the world.

It is so uncomfortable asking. Why should I be asking, I who have played safe my whole life to keep myself negative? Those irresponsible motherfuckers should be forced to go around with a big Red Positive Sign stamped in every single piece of clothing. They should not be allowed to shower with us or share public bathrooms with us. They should have their own housing and their own neighborhoods. Of course we would be allowed to get into their zone, but it is up to us whether or not to take the risk. In no way they should be allowed to walk into our neighborhoods, to buy in our stores, to share our work places. Total disclosure, irresponsible motherfuckers.

I assume escorts are likely to be positive just by the nature of their work, so it's buyer beware. I'm sure I've been with tons of poz guys in the saunas, spas, etc. To me, it's not a big deal, but I'm a total top. The risk is just part of our world. If you are seriously concerned, condoms and PrEP are very effective.

What you've described has been done before. You shouldn't be proud. Good Grief.

Shanah tovah.

I don't know if this has been discussed here before but lets say by virtue of your profession you know an escort/adult is definitely HIV + but lists safe/bb; ask me on rentmen. Do you guys think an escort is obliged to inform a customer about his HIV status without being asked about it? I know for sure there people who will not ask but still opt for unprotected ask without thinking twice. what do you guys think?

Wow I can not believe what I am reading. You know that is illegal. The criminal transmission of HIV in the United States varies among jurisdictions. More than thirty of the fifty states in the U.S. have prosecuted HIV-positive individuals for exposing another person to HIV. A person donating HIV-infected organs, tissues, and blood can be prosecuted for transmitting the virus..

I get your point but I would only add that they're more likely to be positive because as a job/activity they have more sex than other gay men.

Ps: I added that word for those of yinz who don't get sarcasm.

I don't see ANY ACCEPTABLE sarcasm associated with your posting a picture of marked concentration camp inhabitants who, most likely, lost their lives.

Not even when I am using that tragedy and that consequence of intolerant, discriminatory, irrational thinking, to illustrate how intolerant, discriminatory, and irrational is the attitude of those stigmatizing HIV+ people? Maybe you are not so smart, after all.

In my addled opinion, YOU DON'T HAVE TO USE THE JEWISH PEOPLES' TRAGEDY DURING WORLD WAR II to make your point.

OKAY?

I think it's just human courtesy and decency to inform the people you're going to have sex with about your status if you're +. I'm not saying advertise it to the masses in public...

Sadly, in the real world, the former is practically the latter. Even in my short time here there have been multiple posts by people alleging knowledge that some guy or another was poz.

No sir, it is not OK. And you do not need to yell.

The tragedy of the Jewish people would be pointless if we do not learn the lesson. Remembering what stigmatizing did in the past to protect the victims of stigmatization in the present is what any decent human being would hope for.

A very famous porn star most positive shamed by a newbie.

Going back to the subject: men sell themselves trying to get a laid (for money or for fun) maybe that's the reason some might lie about their age in other things to present themselves as a better catch.

By no means I am just a fine lying about your status

...and tell me again why you should be believed? Not by me of course, but by an escort or a hookup.

If a stranger says that he has poz, I would believe him. (And I would still hook up with him.) Stating that you are "DDF" has become so ubiquitous, and so unprovable and unknowable (unless you've been completely celibate since your last full battery of tests), that I didn't think anyone took it seriously anymore.

I would much rather hear that someone is on PreP. Not because it's a license to do whatever we want however we want, but it's much more believable.

That's because I can prove it. Pardon me for not posting it here but I do keep pictures of all my tests on my phone should one of my hookup as you call it want to see it. It's not my fault some people have issues believing and taking others for their word. There still nice people left in this world you know. You do realize Prep is not a 100% protection right?
