I'm not saying this to put you personally on the spot or call you out, you are presenting a mainstream point of view, so we can agree to disagree, but usually when someone says this, what I hear is "I don't want to have this challenging conversation when I'm hooking up with stranger, so this is a story I tell myself so I can feel better about going through with it."

You are correct. This is usually frowned upon in our community, but I am most definitely one of those people. I like real skin-to-skin contact.. being topped raw is sexy and thrilling to me. The condom almost makes it feel like "fake sex." And I've been lucky.... I do get tested once a year (because that's about how often I have sex), and I've been negative for every thing, every time (except for crabs ONCE, and that was the worst STD ordeal I've ever endured, those nasty little bastards). However, should I test positive for HIV, I don't think it would be the end of the world.

I'm sure I've been with tons of poz guys in the saunas, spas, etc. To me, it's not a big deal, but I'm a total top. The risk is just part of our world. I get your point but I would only add that they're more likely to be positive because as a job/activity they have more sex than other gay men.
