I think a lot of them are married to women who are or were in the biz in some form themselves. And I suspect the money is what makes them okay with it. Also the fact that men are less of a threat to them than women. They have something to offer their man that those guys can't.

Let's be honest, a lot of these guys can't make anywhere near the money they do from porn and escorting doing anything else, and the wives know it.

Back in the days of the beloved Gaiety, I was very friendly with one of the dancers and his girl friend. He did porn for Falcon and Mustang. Often while he was "engaged" with a customer, I would take the girl friend out for the evening. He was totally "gay for pay" and while he would top and kiss, he would not bottom.

The girl friend was totally OK with his "work" because she saw no threat to her relationship from men. Her exact words to me were: "I don't care what hole he sticks it in so long as the hole does not belong to a woman." A little crude but it conveyed what you posted. As you note, she was in the biz, too; she danced at Flash Dancers (across from the Ed Sullivan Theater on Broadway).

As for the money, a good Gaiety dancer could make $10,000 a week or more. He danced there about every six weeks or so. This was the mid-nineties so that was very good money.

I was a good enough friend that I was invited to his wedding! Still friendly with him and his wife all these years later.

No "..." needed around work. It is work not "work"

Sorry about that.

No problem... but look it up on the top right and search before posting.

Someone might have started a thread about it and there might be interesting points about it already on it posted by folks who unlike you and I don't post daily on here.

Adding tags might be useful too, but we had that talk by PM on private already.
