Dumbbells are more popular in New Jersey that anywhere else in the country, according to a Walmart.com breakdown of top-selling items on the site from each state. Business Insider made the find after analyzing Walmart’s stats and pinpointing the strangest hot-sellers by state.

 

Electric knives are big in North Carolina, while people in Vermont are into luggage racks. Tennessee residents scoop up traffic cones???

When it comes to food, Nevada residents love canned pumpkin. It’s one of the few canned items Martha Stewart will use in place of fresh ingredients. In Washington, Starbursts candy rules. Oregon loves Chex Mix as much as Louisiana loves raisins. Meanwhile, South Dakota residents can’t get enough lemon cake, and Texans turn to Walmart for wedding invitations.

Other states are more health-focused. The allergy medication, Zyrtec, is flying off shelves in California. Delaware residents stock up on vitamins and medicine.

 

And the gym rats of New Jersey have something in common with Massachusetts dwellers, where tennis balls are a popular item.

 

In the technology realm, connected home products like wireless routers are hot in New York and Florida. Meanwhile, those in Georgia install a lot of automatic garage door openers.

 

When it comes to nationwide averages, the most popular items purchased from walmart.com across the board include mulch, microwaves, Mainstay pillows, and vacuums.
