Well looks like it is going to be more difficult for clients, don't know the impact on gentlemen.

Literally as I am glancing through ads this morning, all the ads have changed.

No more prices and the word escort has been removed from all descriptions.

I cant remember if this was always there but the words donations and services is the subtitle.

While I am a person who does not mind when gentlemen did not list prices, I almost always ask what the fee is because I usually hire for longer than an hour, but if prices are not in my range I usually do not contact gentlemen and waste their time. I think gentlemen will be getting way more useless contacts asking about rates and they will have to write them in their descriptions I would guess unless Rent.men is changing that policy as well.

Odd, I see rates. I logged out, cleared cache (was still able to see them) and logged back in and still see them.

EDIT: I see rates when logged into RENTMEN.EU but I do not see them when logged into RENT.MEN. I wonder if rates would be allowed in profile text.

I suspect there will be a big increase in casual browsers sending "What is your rate? What if I only want 30 minutes?" messages.

It looks like an opportunity for someone who is positioned to swiftly create lots of personal web sites for guys who don't already have them.

I no longer see them. And to be clear, I'm using rent.men. Perhaps some of the other sites still have the rates available. As far as discretion, if they are being more discreet, why have they started showing the escort's preferences such as anal, oral, etc.?

Looks like the "full site" has moved to rentmen.eu...... Rent.men now refers to the guys as pornstars, and yes, the ads all seem to be edited, such as rates removed...

The lists of services all start with "Gay Porn Movies" and the language on the tab (this in on the full version) is "[CITY] Gay Pornstar Performer."

The rates are also gone for me on rent.men but I did quickly find one ad that still have them in the text. Maybe they'll be gone as they're located.

When searching and reviewing while logged in, it looks like all the added information (except rates) is still there, for now at least.

It looks like rentmen.eu shows the rates but not the preferences (anal, oral, role play, etc.), while rent.men shows the preferences but not the rates. Still no one stop shopping.

I'm on rentmen.eu and it just switched over. Shows all the preferences, but refers to the guys as pornstars and doesn't show rates.

Just saw this posted on the rentmen.eu homepage (posted around 10am EST)

"Some urgent changes to RentMen features were recently introduced. They reflect the legal framework changes in your country. We, the RentMen Team are committed to provide a maximum safety for our comunity [sic] while respecting all local laws globally."

But even changed in last hour or so, rentmen.eu isn't showing rates now either.... and referring to the men as pornstars.......same as rent.men

Maybe the first amendment will protect them. I wonder how the escorts feel about being labeled "pornstars" and available for porn videos.

Hey

Hello

I saw your ad on Rentmen. What's your rate?

Are you interested in an incall or outcall appointment?

What's the difference in price?

My incall rate is $250 and my outcall rate is $300.

For how long?

That is my hourly rate.

Ok. Your ad says you're a porn star - can you send me some of your videos?

I do not have any videos available to share.

Ok. What is your rate for 45 minutes?

My minimum fee is $250 for one hour.

What videos have you been in?

o_O

Yes - I imagine this is going to be a huge headache for the escorts as well as for clients. I also imagine that loopholes will be found in time.

But yeah, this sucks, and not in a good way.

I think the same thing happened on http://www.men4rentnow.com/

I don't see "escort" or rates listed.

This is absurd; it's 2017 for fuck's sake.

The rate listings on that site have been gone for a long time. The change in wording is newer. But I've never liked that site much anyway, so it didn't matter that much.

But now that rentmen is doing this too, yeah, it sucks.

Someone more technically savvy than I can confirm but it appears based on a brief experiment that rates are omitted for profiles of guys in cities in the US. I VPN'd elsewhere and they were still not shown, though rates of non-US guys were shown.

I guess I wonder what "urgent" means in the RM statement and how long this has been planned. Was it in response to something recent or a more strategic decision.

I've been experimenting also and can't find a way to see the review text for US-based escorts either. Doesn't seem to matter how I VPN into either site.

I just assumed the review text wasn't on any of the sites, and hasn't been for a long time.

It's been blocked to US IP's for quite some time, but you used to be able to get around it by VPN.

As of February, when I was in Canada, I could see the text in reviews, but when I returned to the U.S., I could no longer see it. I assumed the text was just blocked for viewers in the U.S., but based on what you and @MikeyGMin have said, it looks like Rentmen is now getting rid of text reviews for all U.S.-based professionals. Is that the correct take?
