  1. You seem to have thought this out well, but just remember the broker dealer can change the margin requirements should any of your holdings tank. Unlikely, but possible. The other risk that was mentioned above is opportunity risk, as you could miss out on a market turn around and some potential value stocks. In any case I admire your entrepreneurial spirit.
  2. Good for you that you have come into some money, and you are wise to plan carefully with what to do. some have said to pay off debt and I would agree to pay off high interest debt (anything over 10% for sure. I would then suggest that you keep an emergency fund - like in your money market acct that can be accessed easily. 6 months of funds is a good rule. As for investments- have you considered Real Estate? Maybe use some as a down payment to avoid mortgage insurance. You can invest in real estate through some ETFs and REITS. You are young so you can weather the ups and downs of the stock market. The market has been tough this year but it also means that there are some values out there to buy low and then sell high later on. I’ve always liked Warren Buffetts advice. Invest in companies that you know and trust. And do your best to avoid the temptation of buying into something that you don’t understand. Stick to equities, mutual funds, bonds, money market, and ETFs at this time. Index funds are a good way to start and you can grow your portfolio by enrolling in an auto dividend reinvestment plan and using recurring mutual fund purchase plans. Finally, research tax liability of your investments as there are considerations to be had. If necessary get a tax advisor. Best wishes!
  3. Annuities can be very worthwhile investments depending upon where you are at in your retirement, what your risk tolerance is and what your objectives are. They are one of the only investments where some will guarantee you income for life. For a newbie though, and someone in their mid 30s - it’s probably not a consideration at the moment as they can take on more risk.
  4. Has anyone noticed that there seems to be quite a few guys on Scruff that say they give massage but during the conversation they want you to book an appointment and pay a deposit through PayPal or similar payment apps? When you refuse to pay a deposit they do everything they can to get you to book the appointment and say they can’t take cash if the appointment isn’t booked. Sounds like a scam to me but wanted to hear from others.
  5. I saw his ad and wondered myself.
  6. I unfortunately fell for this not long ago. He did show up but once he got payment he got a call that he needed to give his cousin keys and when he left he never came back. Reported it to RM and they said they would suspend his profile and I reported the scam to cash app and will hopefully get my money back. End of the day, I absolutely know better and let my little head rule my logical head. A painful reminder but one that I obviously needed to learn again. Oh escort is King Piper in Charlotte. Pics are not real either. I should have kicked him out then. Sometimes I’m an idiot.
  7. Agree. There seems to be more parity this year than in years past. I guess with so many 5th and 6th year seniors some teams were bound to break through. I don’t see anyone making it out of the Big Ten, ACC, or PAC 12 undefeated so Cincinnati has a chance. At this point I’m only comfortable picking Bama and Georgia for the playoffs. Maybe this is the year Michigan beats Ohio State?
  8. I can tell you most fans finally are more realistic and aspire to be like Wisconsin, but it took many years. After all, after more than 30 years of 9+ wins and a bowl game, and a sellout streak that continues today and started in 1962, we were spoiled. I would simply warn Ohio State, Clemson and Bama to enjoy it while you can.
  9. I’m praying Nebraska ends the streak this year against the Hawkeyes.
  10. Sounds like a great time. A few ideas - perhaps have a gift bag for each with bath products or something to remember you by. Also consider an Airbnb that you can rent the entire place. Maybe something in Evergreen or even Vail.
  11. I’ll cheer for anyone who beats Texas.
  12. Iowa State is certainly a team to watch. I wouldn’t be surprised if they get past Iowa that they go undefeated. Don’t give up on Chip Kelly, he will have the Bruins back soon enough.
  13. What’s your favorite college football team? What 4 teams will make the playoff? Which team will surprise as over achievers? And who will surprise as under achievers? 1. Ohio State 2. Oklahoma 3. Alabama 4. Southern Cal USC Overachiever - Nebraska Underachiever - Clemson
  14. Alex Gordon Kansas City Royals Jordan Larson - Nebraska and USA Olympic Volleyball Barry Sanders - Oklahoma State and Detroit Lions Kyle Korver - Creighton Basketball and various NBA teams Dominique Dawes USA Gymnast Jackie Joyner Kersee - UCLA and USA Olympics Track and Field Mary Decker Slaney - Colorado and USA Olympics Carl Lewis Houston and USA Olympics
  15. My vote might be a surprise, but I vote for The Max in Omaha, Nebraska. It has 5 bars, huge patio, 2 dance floors, and is always clean and well kept. I’m my day they would turn away anyone who looked like they would cause an issue and rarely was there any problems. Bartenders would know you by name and the owner Stosh and Bruce were very nice guys. After more than 30 years it’s still the place to be on Saturday. https://www.themaxomaha.com/
  16. What is or was the best gay bar in the United States? What made it the best? Maybe we can take this list and make a best of the best list and best of each State. Only rule, it has to be primarily a gay bar. Could be a strip bar, piano bar, disco, etc…. Just not a straight bar with a gay night.

It’s been about 6 years when we both lived in Denver. I know he struggled with some addiction issues for awhile, but hopefully he has overcome those. He is a very sweet man and deserves a happy life.
  18. Anyone have any info? https://rent.men/ZakTaylor
  19. I have a few times and I never felt left out as both did a great job of making me the focus. That said, I’m not one that really enjoys groups unless it’s a couple that has a secure relationship and everyone is into everyone. I much prefer the one on one experience.
  20. Fun Post. When I was in college I worked at a fine dining French restaurant in Omaha. Not a tourist destination but the food is spectacular and the gay bar, The Max is still the nicest bar I’ve ever seen. I had the honor of serving Shannon Doherty. She was pretty quiet and was nice. Ran into her later at the Max and she bought me a drink. That same week I got to meet Hal Holbrook and Dixie Carter. I loved Dixie as Suzanne Sugarbaker and it was the one time I gushed. She ordered a Macallan beat. I said I love you. The table laughed and she gave me a hug on the way out. They were both in town filming Gone in the Night. Ed Asner also came in but I didn’t wait on him. I also had Shirley Jones, who must have been off her game that night as she was not very kind and talked down to me, so I’m sure I gave her some smart ass retort at some point. Other notables include Chuck Hagel - former Secretary of Defense and US senator. Warren Buffet, Johnny Rodgers (Heisman trophy winner), Tom Osborne and Bobby Bowden dined together - famous college football coaches. Met Ted Turner in Valentine NE, as well as Tiny Tim. That one was rather scary. Met Charlie Pride at a gas station in Denver, CO. Brian Orser (Canadian figure skater) in a gay bar. And the strangest was meeting Angus of Metallica in the bathroom of the Hard Rock Cafe in Boston. Living in Charlotte I have hoped to run into Michael Jordan but no such luck. Dream would be to have drinks with Bette Midler.
  21. Thanks guys, I do appreciate all the suggestions. As for my type it’s all over the map in terms of age and race, but I do fancy muscular, toned athletic body, Vers to top,no bottoms only. Personality is most important. Down to earth, humble, grounded, laid back are adjectives I would use to describe them. Mike Gaite is a perfect choice and I have met him a few times already. Not sure we would ever leave the bed lol. I’m not big into PDA, but it would be nice just to have a fun weekend anything from camping, hiking, sports, site seeing, relaxing. I’m not expecting romance, but just want to be comfortable and want them to be comfortable too.
  22. I’m thinking I see a weekend of fun with Mr Baldwin in my future with a nice beach resort providing the comforts. Might as well treat myself. Material things come and go but memories last.
