I certainly applaud resistance too, but as a client, it kind of seems like I’m the one bearing the brundt. Here is what I know, if you think that by raising your rates you’ll get a higher quality client, you might be surprised. What the hell does that mean anyway? Each guy has to figure out what’s best for him and his business. Some can command a high rate. Others cannot. And some have regulars he would jeopardize in losing without some discussion. Sorry, but wages have not caught up in corporate America and the working stiff hasn’t seen much over 2% in years. And if drink the koolaid that the temporary tax cut and permanent corporate tax cut will mean higher wages, for most it won’t.
Keep up the good fight, I don’t like, nor believe these laws will save the intended and instead will get overturn as morality legislation. Of all Presidents, the one who hires does this.
